Reid's House Restaurant

I love good, hearty, southern food served in a New England style diner. The seating is cozy and lines move fast. The service is always top-notch. This is by far my favorite place to eat in Reidsville.

We wanted a quick meal before a medical appointment. I was concerned that we might have to wait too long, but food came quickly and was hot and good. Friendly people. It looked like most were regular customers.

You are immediately greeted with the aromas of sizzling bacon, strong coffee and the sweet buttery smell of waffles; followed by the clanking sounds of forks and knives on plates. Where coffee is poured in the thick ceramic cups with all the adds for local shops printed on them and the waitresses call you Shugg or Sweetie. Great local place to get that no cuts in the butter, sugar or grease food!

Looks like an old run down waffle house. But tastes like grandma's homemade country cooking. Lots of butter, lots of flavor, and lots of customers. There was a long wait for our food but well worth it. Great food! Workstaff was very good and attentive.

If you love visiting local places, this is a very old school diner. There are some hard-working ladies in here! Had a very good breakfast and service.

We happened to enter the Reid House at a time of day between their busy times of the day. We truly enjoyed ourselves....plenty of service sraff, fun to watch them cook, plenty of food choices, and "OH MY THE DESSERTS".

Reid’s House Is the absolute best. One of the very few retro gems left. We alway stop in here on our way to Virginia. Great breakfast and great lunch specials. The owner is very friendly and makes sure you feel at home ! Make sure you stop by you won’t regret it.

Food was very good, service was okay, they very busy, but that's normal.

For as long as I can remember, I have tried biscuits and gravy at restaurants all across the US (usually only sharing a bite from someone elses plate because the dish wasnt worth risking). Finally I took a bite of Reids gravy & biscuits. It was love at first bite. Now I see what the fuss over gravy w/ biscuits is. AMAZING!!!! Other breakfasts are good too - if you are not from reidsville, it is worth the road trip. Service hasn't missed a beat either.

Best Western omelet in Reidsville or surrounding areas. Fast super friendly service.

Like a Waffle House, but local and better. One of the places I always go to when I'm in town visiting family. Food is always good and the wait staff is very helpful. I've always gone there for breakfast but my wife swears by the Master Burger plate at lunch time (she's a local).

Small building with limited seating but worth the wait for the down home diner experience. They have been here a long time and it shows in the best of ways.

This is a great small town diner! Very nice manager and staff. My husband said, quote "they have the best waffle I've ever eaten!" People rave about their pies, also. It stays pretty busy.

I love this restaurant! I drive all the way from Martinsville, VA just to eat here. They have amazing service, although it is a small place! You can even watch your food being cooked! Their breakfast is the best around and they serve it the entire time they're open. The prices are good for the amount of food you get! And the best part? Their banana pudding is just as good as I remember my grandmother's! I recommend over and over!

The food here is definitely home cooked. Everything tasted great. My husband had meatloaf and it was the first meatloaf he'd ordered from a restaurant that tasted home cooked and wasn't mush. pinto beans had a good flavor and scalloped potatoes were great. The owner walked around and talked to everyone there... He took a lot of pride in his business and it showed. Highly recommend... I'll definitely drive 45 min for this again!
