This is a great bank with the feel of "small town." Everyone of the employees has been super friendly and very helpful. The bank is nicely organized and has plenty of room for any number of customers. Coffee is always hot, fresh, and free! This is a great bank if you want to feel like a family member and not just another customer. Give them a try!

Dealing with a person's money is a very personal thing. I've banked here for many years and found that they try very hard to make me a happy customer even though we've had our ups and downs on occasions. Overall, I would recommend this bank for local accounts.

This place is good to bank at. Needed a notary and was able to. Could not give me a bank card had to wait unless I went to the city.

Not everyone can open an account there. I didn't know that until it happened to a customer in the lobby

My husband & I have banked with Midfirst since we moved here 13 years ago. They use to have great customer service & always the same friendly faces ...... Then within the last 3 years they have had turn around in faces & customer service! I will be closing our bank account down & going elsewhere. I also just found out my brother in law told them I referred him & I never got that referral but it's ok because he already closed his account due to being treated the same way. They also have a habit of turning your card off and not telling you and not sending you a new one they have already done this to us four times in a year

My wife cleans houses. When she went into MidFirst Bank, in Shawnee, on Harrison, to cash a check from a client, one of the tellers offered her to open an account of her own, so she did while she was there.

After a while of not using her check card, they deactivated it, then cancelled it. A little while after that we had an accounting mistake in her account was overdrawn, so we took care of it.

Right after I deposited the funds in her account for her, in order to take care of it, the branch manager called my wife and asked her "why she even has the account?", when my wife told her, "just to have a personal account", the manager said, and I quote, " you should just come in and close this account, and go bank somewhere else!"

That baffled my wife, she could not believe that a branch manager would do that. She happened to be cleaning a client's house, whom is an accountant, and she overheard her. She said that maybe they're worried that she is laundering money through the account!

That is ludicrous, why we don't do a lot of thinking there she uses it for some of her clients that do Bank there and a few of the others. For a branch manager to do that, something is really wrong, and therefore I do not believe I could ever recommend this Bank!

YESTERDAY: Midfirst Bank on Harrison in Shawnee - ATM told me "Please take your cash" and no cash came out. It just made a bunch of noises, then said "Thank your for your transaction" and closed. So I went to the window. They had me come inside and I signed a dispute, they gave me the cash, and told me that $260 would be back in my account by midnight. (So $520 total came out, but I only received $260.) Today: NO $260 IN MY ACCOUNT. I called them and they stated that it "Typically takes 48 hours" and the girl who handled it isn't scheduled to work today, but I should call back Monday and talk to her. - NEEDLESS TO SAY, AS SOON AS THE $$ IS BACK IN MY ACCOUNT I AM CLOSING IT, AND WILL TAKE MY BANKING ELSEWHERE.

This bank has a back of charging you overdraft free for things you bought a week ago. They have been told about this and still they charged me another overdraft fee and I haven't bought anything.

Very bad bank. Too many ill legal overdraft fees... Closing the account soon

I would choose no star, but I had to choose at least 1. This is by far, the WORST BANK EVER. The customer service is horrible, AND ....... most (all I have ever dealt with) banks always give you a direct deposit dated for the 1st, on the 1st, or if the 1st falls on a sat or sun thed Friday before. NOT THIS BANK, they wait until monday. And in this case, monday is a holiday, so it will be posted on Tuesday!!!
this should be illegal!
