Callahan's Steak House

Excellent place for a steak! We were in the area and had no't been there before. I thought we'd give it a try. Excellent server, friendly staff, and the food was very good. Try the fried mushrooms appetizer.

My ribeye was tender and flavorful. The sides were also delicious. Our waitress was friendly and attentive.

I wanted a cheese burger plain and simple. I got a hot juicy burger with cheese that was not only cooked perfectly, but was actually hard to hold because that burger was hot and my fingers were feeling it. And juicy? Well, when hot juices are running down onto your hand and you have to set it down to cool them off, it's a good sign that you got what you asked for. I had to make a lot of use of my napkin also. I said it was juicy.

All in all, it was a perfect burger. The taste? Just as you would expect a great burger to taste.

I took my mother, father and his best friend here for my pops birthday. Our drinks were never empty, appetizer arrived steaming hot, crispy and fresh, and in the perfect amount of time before receiving our entrees.

To sum it up, we all had a great time and our server was amazing!

Would recommend stopping by here 10/10 times.

Ate here for New Years Eve and the food was incredible. A very classy place, waitresses all wore classy boots and belt buckles like western wear. Pickles & onion blossom were phenomenal. Ribs a little dry but the grilled chops were to die for. Their ranch is divine! Go early as they get busy during dinner time. Great food overall.

You can always tell when a place is a favorite with the locals. It was Friday, just after 5 and the parking lot was full. There was a 15-20 waiting time for a table for six. Our server was polite and expedient. Everyone ordered different things; from steak to catfish to shrimp. I had a perfectly well-done sirloin steak, it wasn't close to being charred. The only thing I can knock was the rice pilaf. It just didn't have any flavor. I would order something different the next time. Some good beer on tap and a variety of bottled beer to choose from.

Overall our last experience was very positive. We have eaten here many times. The service was overall good, but not excellent. The food was as always excellent, especially for the price. I recommend the fillet steak. It’s my go to and I’m always happy. There is a full bar which is great.

Updated to add: Stephanie was an amazing waitress on October 8, 2022. Even though we were sitting next to a group of like 26 or so, she had to finangle (yes..it's a word 😉) her way to us. She kept on top of our drinks and was very friendly.

again. Was a bit of a wait to get the food after we ordered it, but the steaks were totally worth it. The flavoring was really spot on. The little loaves of bread are cute. Each steak plate was 25 dlls though.

Best ribs I have had in a long, long time. Wait staff was very attentive.

Callahan's never disappoints. I got the sirloin tips with onions & peppers, my husband got the New York steak. We were with a party of 9 & there were fried mushrooms, mozzarella sticks & fried green beans. All was very good.👍

It was not our server's fault that they were short handed. It is common everywhere right now. She had to tend bar and take tables. Food was great!

1st time visit. On vacation and was a recommended restaurants by a local quilt shop Gentry Quilts.
We had the sirloin and loaded chicken. Both were excellent! Service and atmosphere were superb! Well done!

Showed up late didn't realize they were about to close, they no worries you have enough time took us in , very friendly would visit again for special occasions.

I am a server myself and was blown away with Kelsey’s service with our party of 12. Very kind and organized, will ask for her next time I come in!

Waitress name Jessica did a marvelous job had about 19 people to wait on in our group. Fast, polite, pleasant!!

Parking lot packed was first good sign. Fove minute wait not bad and enough time to enjoy decor... cowboy hats of famous historical cawboys (wyatt earp, etc). Server was super attentive and friendly. Food was DELUCIOUS with many choices. Would highly recommend.

Here's the deal, never in my life has this happened to me before. We go to Callahan's, it's my first time there. I ordered a filled medium and loaded baked potato without chives (I'm allergic to onions). First, we get Mozzarella sticks, and they were the biggest sticks I've ever had, perfectly cooked, and the house dressing was delicious. The bread they served was still warm from the oven. The meal came, and the first thing I saw was that the potato had just sour cream and chives. The lady takes it back and gets that taken care of. Then I cut into the fillet, and it's well done instead of medium. Here's the thing, though: I took a bite, expecting to be disappointed, and it was the best tasting steak I've ever had. Practically melted in my mouth. Seasoned to perfection. The ABSOLUTE BEST "MISTEAK" ever.

Loved it! It was a very busy place but worth the short wait to be seated. Everyone loved their food, and the service was great.
