Absolutely amazing children's hospital. They took in my daughter at 6pm and get us in a room by 630pm through the ER. The wait was very slow as usual.for hospitals but the team was freaking fantastic! So many really kind and super caring people came to see and meet my daughter while she was I the trauma unit here.
This hospital has two play rooms on the 5th floor trauma unit. They have a soft inside playground areas on the 4th floor.
They have an outside patio area and so many amazing games for the kids.
The nurses offered stickers and coloring pages and other games. My daughter even got a popsicle while in the ER.

The admitted rooms are very cozy with two pull out bed and a recliner chair. All staff here is super friendly and dedicated to make the stay super comforting.

My 3 monhts old great grandson was a patient on the 4th floor of the children's hospital. I was so very very impressed with the care and attention that was given to the baby and also his 34 months old twin brother

From the Dr.Bryant to the nurses in the ICU to Floor 4 staff and nurses. You all are the BEST!! You have treated my daughter like she is your daughter. If I could give a higher rating I would. If your child needs anything this is the place to bring them. Top Notch! You all have gone far beyond just doing your jobs. From the bottom of my heart ❤ Thank You!!

We had to take our 5 month old to the Children’s emergency room and can’t say enough how good the experience was considering the circumstances. The entire staff was friendly and sensitive to us as new parents. The doctors and nurses gave us time and respect and loved on our little one. Having to take your baby to the ER is never something you want to do as a parent, but all things considered, we are very grateful for this hospital being available and are comforted knowing that our baby is in good hands if there’s ever an emergency.

Great staff and service. We took my son early this morning when he was having issues with his breathing. The staff was very receptive to our concerns and needs. In and out in 3 hours with the medical issue resolved. They had him in a room and completed with a breathing treatment in less than an hour. Definitely highly recommend.

I want to thank the medical staff of this hospital, say oncology doctors and nurses from the clinic and 5c floor, for their great attention, kindness and affection with my son and our family for almost a year that we have been here. the truth that they have been the best by far. I never thought I felt at home with your attention. I do not dare to put names for fear that someone will remain unmentioned.

Our experience last night was excellent. Everyone- from the awesome nurse who helped us find the ER and carried my child up a flight of stairs, to the nurses in triage, to the ER nurses and the ER docs and ENT surgeon who stitched my kid up - they were all amazing, patient and kind. We were in and out of the hospital in 3 hours. The child life specialist was outstanding and deserves a raise. She kept my kiddo distracted while he was stitched up. She held his hand and played music for him. I am so, so happy with our experience.

Had my baby here 9/2018 and the place is outstanding, a bit busy at times being that it’s a school as well. I can’t say enough about Mrs. Harriet a nurse that has been in labor and delivery for 27 years. There was never a need to page her for anything, she just was always there and she knew what I needed before I did. She made me so happy, and I hated to leave her L&D after having the baby. The first nurse made me a little worried in postpartum, but nurse Sophia she was a sweet heart she saved the day, once I was moved. The students in white uniforms training with Mrs. Elizibeth as well were so sweet they will be amazing working with someone like her. The lady that delivered my food, Mrs. Lisa who did my vitals, and Kelly my last nurse thank you all!!! The NICU staff outstanding... I honestly couldn’t thank everyone at this facility enough for their kind words attitudes, and willingness to help. Everyone wasn’t the best but my experience overall was just outstanding!

My youngest son has Down Syndrome, he is ten months old, and spent his first three month's in Children's of Alabama... My son almost died, due to incompetence, and lack of communication between providers!!
Once my husband's job transferred to Georgia I was skeptical about using another "Children's"; however, each physician, therapist, nutritionist--you get the picture--- EVERYONE we've been referred to has been amazing (shout out to Dr. Pierce @ the Pediatric-Multi-Specialty-Clinic, and Ms. Kristina @ the physical therapy clinic of Children's--you too are top-notch providers, thank you!!)
So, if you're like me, and you've had a bad experience with NICU or Children's in a different town/city/state--- and you're afraid to ever step foot in one again..... you do not have to be afraid! The provider's here listen, and genuinely care!

First of all, the ENT office on west wheeler parkway saw my three week old son within 3 days of the referral being sent. We were seen on a Friday and found out something very rare and dangerous was pushing on his airway. Dr Carroll made me and his father feel so extremely comfortable. We were so nervous and he helped calm us down. We were schedule first thing the following Monday for emergency surgery. Now we are in the PICU for a few days which is scary enough but these nurses are phenomenal. They make sure we have everything we need and also made sure we got some rest in between our son waking up. They really took amazing care of our 3 week old and made sure he had no pain throughout his procedure. So very grateful for Dr Carroll for saving our son and so very grateful to the nurses on the PICU floor or caring for him AND us.

We were treated very well starting with our very first phone call to AUMC. Our 10 yr old daughter had a solid tumor almost completely blocking one nasal passage. Dr Carroll was absolutely amazing and reassured us that he would take care of our Olivia. We had seen several drs and this was our first glimpse of hope. We call him our angel.. Dr Florentine was great too as we were a little nervous about her being put to sleep. Each and every department we dealt with were polite and prompt and acted with excellence. So very thankful for this hospital and staff!

won't ever use anyone else for our needs. They took care of me and my kids like NO OTHER, when they were all born romf the ER, to triage, Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, the NICU, and making sure I had what I needed with me at the RMDH. Thank you Children's Hospital for everything you did for me between 2015 and 2017!
