We hiked the first mile of the trail then turned back. It does become steep at the top according to other hikers we met. It’s a beautifully wooded trail with a very nice water fall early on.

Lots of upward climb till you get to Williams Pulpit as the turnaround spot (2.3 miles there, 2.3 of mostly declining on the way back.) Definitely a moderate trail. Lota of little water falls in beginning for dogs to drink.

One of my favorite hiking trail. Parking lot is somehow limited. The trail is moderate hike with beautiful waterfall in beginning of the trail. Some roots and stones and narrow path. After rain part of it muddy. Overall well worth the effort and the view.

This is a very pretty trail with nice vistas at the pulpit. It is a bit steep packing in just over 1,000 ft ascent in about 2 miles.

This trail was amazing. Not difficult but you will need to bring a good hiking shoe. Mud and leaves gets quite slick so watch your footing. Well worth the energy. Took the pups with us. Super friendly people on the trail. Seems like a good area. Would definitely go back.

Beautiful hike area, not to difficult, just a steady up hill.

Parked at Bartram Trail, not really a parking lot, seemed more like a clearing. Could possibly fit 10 cars in the clearing, rest would have to line the road.
I was there in season, early August, 8.30 AM on a Tue and there was no one. Was on the trail for 4 hrs and saw no one. Pure Bliss.
Brought my Blue Heeler to play in the falls and he loved it.
ALLTRAILS list this as a moderate trail but note that it elevates at least 1000 ft in less than 2 miles, which will make even the fittest person sweat hard.
Mostly nothing but thick canopy on the winding trail with 3 waterfalls and creeks early on. Takes about 2 miles up before you start to see some grand views. Nice trail.

Great hiking trail with lots of vertical, waterfalls along the way (some are a little hidden off smaller trails), and a nice view at the finish.

Great hike, really enjoyed the view at the end. At the top, there is a sign pointing left to Williams Pulpit, that is the end of this hike i believe. We accidentally kept going uphill for a bit. Perhaps it continue on to another trail.

Okay, I'll admit we were not ready for this when I googled "easy hiking waterfalls," and this came up in the list. I think some of the reviews had the word "easy" in them referring to a few areas along this very moderate to hard trail. We are not actually hikers though, thank goodness I found an old pair of hiking boots in the back of my closet. Yes, there are waterfalls - at the beginning. Beautiful waterfalls. Then there's the hike to William's Pulpit... if you decide to go, realize that almost everytime you look up at the top of the ridge you are on & think, "This is it!" it isn't. When you get to some flat rocks on the trail (the second time), you go down then straight up to a little sign (6" x 12") that says, "William's Pulpit," turn left or God knows where you'll end up (Wilke's Knob maybe?)! Bartram Trail (or should I say Trial) is 115 miles long. We chose to stop at the WP... & as we looked down from where we came... OMG.

Beautiful trail. Some parts were steep, we were hiking a day after rain, so it was a bit muddy and slippery. Caution definitely advised, especially with kids!

Nice beautiful private trail. I would say it is a moderate hike being a narrow trail with decent inclines and lots of roots and stones. Several spots that are nice to stop and just take in the views with a couple waterfalls and creeks along the way. Decent hike for families with children of all walking ages. Even my two year old was doing well on the trail.

Beautiful trail! About a good 2.5 mile hiking to get to a nice viewpoint on the left of the main trail. Worth it!

Great spot for a quick hike or a long hike. Well marked and good parking.

It was a very strenuous uphill hike, and took us about 1.5 hours. The return was much faster because its almost all downhill. Nice trail condition. It rained on our way back but because of the heavy foliage we barely got wet. The uphill trail would be difficult if the ground is wet.

Great hike. There's a waterfall within the first 1/4 mile my wife and I go to.

Great moderate trail with a little for everyone. The drive out to the start of the hike brings you past some rolling fields with mountains behind them.
It's a well- maintained trail with a beautiful waterfall near the start. Continue on up the mountain through the beautiful forest. You will have beautiful mountain views on most of the trail if you go before the trees are covered with leaves. Wildflowers dot the sides of the trails and in the spring you can admire the dogwoods.
The trail is mostly a steady gentle incline that forms a switchback pattern at various points to keep you moving ever upwards, until you get closer to William's Pulpit where the incline increases and the trail goes from moderate to hard.
Fortunately this is a short section of the trail and just when you think you can't take another step up you see the sign pointing off to the left. Following this short side trail will bring you out to a smooth rock clearing where you have a beautiful long range view. Sit and enjoy it before heading back down.
