My husband and I love visiting this Park. We always stop to fish and sight see. The water here is always so beautiful and crystal cleaner.

We enjoyed an evening painting with Ranger Hayley. Tennessee State Parks offer a wide range of activities led by park rangers. Go to their website under events to plan your next adventure.

Why to the Norris Dan State Park for my nieces wedding. We arrived at night and were welcomed with a beautiful view of the dam, all lit up at night. When we arrived at cabin 22, it was cute and inviting. We had a fantastic experience here and are already planning on returning next summer with the kids when we can spend more time hiking and exploring the lake.

Attended a wedding here, reception in the Tea Room, and stayed in the CCC cabins. Every detail was excellent, and the park was immaculately clean. Beautiful views and lookouts. We just wish we had more time to spend here!

Norris Dam State Park is a great place to spend the day enjoying historic buildings and nature. The dam is surrounded by woodlands in the valley and up on top of the cliffs. The Dam was built by CCC personnel, and the remaining pieces of their camps are in the woods. My wife and daughter both seem to enjoy the views and taking picnics and walks inside the park. We have rented a cabin and spent a relaxing 2 days in the park. The beds are comfortable and warm as well as the shower was quite nice. We have visited the grist mill and museum. I enjoy how the museums celebrate the lives of people who farmed and lived in the East Tennessee Valley. Overall, it was a fantastic place to hang out. Hopefully, I will get to return many times for more exploration and adventure.

Great Trails, beautiful water. If you park right beside the dam there is a little short hike storybook. It is made for kids as you walk the trail you pass pages of the book! Super cute. Once you pass this it connects to several other trails with lovely lake views. The visitor center was very helpful and clean. Lovely park.

Nice older campground. Campground has two, a east and a west. We stayed in the east. Bathroom was dated but clean. Grounds were clean . Drove through the west and it was packed in preparation of Halloween festivities. Lots of trails and history in the area. Plenty to explore. Would recommend the campground. Would personally recommend the east for larger rigs!

Great 5 day stay at the CCC cabins! Very clean, mix of rustic and modern (fridge, microwave, de-humidifier, heat/AC). No wifi but we were surprised our phone reception and data internet worked fine. Pretty view of the lake through trees. Tons to do, with the museum+mill, clinch river brewery, and lakeside trails within walking distance. Museum has mountain music players on Sundays which was really fun!
Bring some additional items to dress up the cabin, they don't provide some niceties like hair dryers, tablecloths, etc. Was still an amazing deal, and a lot more soulful than the basic pine wood/huge TV places in the area.

I had a fantastic experience at Norris Dam State Park! Stayed in Cabin 12 of the CCC cabins, which was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The staff, including rangers, were incredibly friendly and helpful. Participated in a candle making class - informative and enjoyable. Pet-friendly cabins, playgrounds, and picnic pavilions make it family-friendly. Cabins come stocked, but consider bringing an extra blanket in winter. Highly recommend this park for a memorable stay.

Clean trails. Camped here at West Campground for 2 days. Well worth the money! Very quiet. Bathrooms were really nice with Air Conditioning after the trip to Florida, it was a welcome relief. Beware that some of the sites have steep drops & RV campers really need to be prepared for the switch-back curves. Plenty of trees and cover here, East campground has no trees or cover.

Cold water and warm air made a nice layer of fog across the river below Norris Dam.

Loved our stay in the east campground. Plenty of playgrounds for kids to play on, clean bathrooms, nice bath houses, and reasonable prices for primative, improved, or cabins.
The Dam was neat to look at, and the trails were nice with fall colors and great views since the trees are thinning out.

Love love love it! 🎣 fishing, trails for every person, gazebo, cabins, Marina, lake is beautiful and clean. Great birding Park and Grist mill with restaurant close by. Horse trails, walking trails and dog friendly as long as their on a leash and picked up after. Never too crowded and great place to explore or put a hammock up and chill. The man that works at the museum there is super nice and full of joy too! 😊

Nice place. I seen several people fishing. Went on the 2 mile trail along the river. It's well kept with small gravel. We also stopped at the brewery on the way out and enjoyed some beer.

The dam is a gorgeous place to visit. There are boat rentals (booking needed for motor boats but not for kayak or canoe), the dam on which you can walk and take many amazing photos, and the state park which has benches and BBQs. There are also cottages to rent in the park! The place is absolutely amazing in the summer time, super green and beautiful.

It's a beautiful park that is well maintained. The visitor center is set up perfectly. We spent the day here and plan on a longer visit next year. The Rustic cabins are set up perfect. All of the Tennessee State Parks are well maintained and just great to visit. These are the best state parks in the Nation.

What a pretty place to take a leisurely drive to the Norris Dam overlook. You can stop at the Visitors Center or drive across the Dam and pull over at the top of the overlook

Tennessee is a wonderful state with fantastic history and some of the most beautiful places to see. Also, the people are wonderful. The Norris Dam bring together both the past and future together.

We've camped on and off here for a few months and love it. The rangers are kind, camp hosts keep to themselves but do their jobs, and the campground is fairly uncrowded this time of year.
I will say, beware of skunks!! They're everywhere, very intrusive, will find every scrap of food you leave out, and our dog has been sprayed twice!
