Family Dollar

I can't drive, so I need places to shop that are within walking distance of my home so that I can run errands when my husband is unable to. This location is pretty much a five minute walk from my house. I also have a number of chronic pain conditions, so carrying heavy things, even for such a relatively short distance causes me a great deal of pain. To help with this, when I buy heavy items like large bags of dog food, etc, sometimes I'll use the cart to bring it home, put my items away, then bring the cart immediately back to their property. They have not once ever chased after me or made any real big thing about it at all. They've never said a word about it, at all.

The prices here are also insanely reasonable for what you are buying. For example, I'm trying to expand my wardrobe and while their clothes selection is limited, in general, they did have some amazing pieces that you'd never guess were "cheap-o". One was this adorable, red plaid shirt dress with an included belt. It was true-to-size, and if I'd bought it from an online plus-sized women's clothing shop, I'd have probably paid about $60-75 for it, especially since it came with a belt. At Family Dollar it was less than $13. I also bought some skinny jean jeggings for about $5 that go perfectly with my longer blouses.

Lastly, the employees are really nice about 75% of the time. I don't blame the 25% for not being little rays of sunshine, though. I used to work retail. If you're not having to deal with a jerk-face manager who you're pretty certain is actually a freshly-thawed Neanderthal and whose job you could do with a 3.99% blood alcohol level (4% is pretty much universally fatal. The more you know! 🌈🌠🌌) then you're having to deal with...THE PUBLIC. So, I try to be extra nice to those clerks because I can tell they've been through it.

TL;DR: Go to Family Dollar. Buy their merchandise. Be nice to their employees, ESPECIALLY those who seem extra mad at the world. They need kindness the most. Rinse, and repeat daily, for best results! In fact, I'm actually going there right now, myself! Bye! 👋🏻

I had a good time at the store the workers were nice I don't live here visiting my son and family keep up the good work
