I have seen Dr Shah for over 20 years even called him in a couple of emergency situations and he was always willing to either see me right away or tell me what I needed to do until I could get to him! I don’t trust my eyes with anyone else and he has done surgery on my eyes with great success

Great Dr. Taught me more about my diabetes than my regular doctor.

This Dr is dangerous. He completed a second attempt of my daddy cataract surgery. My dad has an issue after the surgery done of January 15, 2024. He was having trouble with it and he was taken to the ER. After several calls in several days he came to the hospital. He told my family that the surgery would be at 1:30. At 7 pm he finally got the surgery done. Part of the cataract was left and his lense was sideways. He was hallucinating and when he went into the hospital last Saturday they tested him for everything. It was determined that it was his eye. So now surgery was done late on Friday and he and 3 other patient had a follow-up at 2:30. The Dr never showed up. When contacted he said he was ill. When asked if he did the surgery ill, he said maybe. When asked what now the Dr hung up. I will be following up with whatever authority that handle his license to let them know of our experience and how he is currently treating his patients. Completely uncaring and bad demeanor for an incompetent eye Dr.

My mother went to him & had glaucoma. He did not take it seriously and she ended up blind to the point her eye shriveled up and died. 7 years later my dad went to him because he could no longer see in one of his eyes. The doctor sent him home and said come back in 3 months it will clear up. I made him get a second opinion and he ended up having a bubble under his cataract and it was leaking fluid into his eye. We got him to another SR in Midland and he took care of it and in two weeks is getting his eyesight back. Please do not go to Dr Shah he doesn’t care about your eyes or doesn’t know what he is doing. Strongly urge you to get second opinions if you feel something is wrong. This Dr should not be in practice.
