Mi Pueblito

Never expected to find delicious Mexican food in what seems to be in the middle of nowhere! Located in a cute historic town just down the road from where we stayed. Excellent food and even better service! It was also very clean. I will be back if/when I find myself back in the area.

MI Publito Had excellent food and service as usual.. The service was very expedient and the food was excellent at a really decent price I highly recommended if you're near the area stop in for some good Mexican food.

Best place around this area! Reasonably priced with great food and service. Pablo is the best! He’s always super personable. My children adore him. Alex is also a great server. Will continue to stop here compared to any other restaurant around where the prices are for tourist and honestly not tasty or worth the hassle! My picture is of the burrito California!! I also love there pollo bendito and the Street taco 😊

We have visited Matewan, WV three times now, but our first trip to Mi Pueblito. We just got done riding and wanted to eat something quick because it was very warm & humid outside. The owners husband sat us in the front of the restaurant, which had a nice area and an air conditioner vent!
We had a wonderful dinner--highly recommend the chicken-pineapple fajitas!! Service was excellent and our food came out quickly AND HOT!! The owner spoke with us a long time as well!!
Had a great meal and enjoyed the whole dining experience!!

I ordered the smothered in cheese chicken. It was very good! Alex and his wife were excellent hosts. We ate at multiple places this trip and this was by far the best priced! I highly recommend you give them a try and I will return!

Best Mexican ever I can eat the others but none of these are as good as there’s our favorite place to eat

Great food options for vegetarians 🥗. It is a perfect lunch stop over while you’re out off-roading on Hatfield McCoy trails. They serve salsa and cheese sauce with the chips to get started. Highly recommended!

Great food, reasonably priced and fantastic service. All of our food was outstanding, The steak in the fajita, cheese enchiladas and beef tacos. Their rice was the best, nothing but rice. The salsa and cheese dip was a favorite at the table. Great place!

Very clean. Food is awesome. Alex and his staff are on it, they punish that kitchen. Best food in the area. Fast service, clean restrooms. Plenty of seating. Don't leave matewan without eating here. I recommend California burrito, and taco salad

Great place to have lunch and take a break from the trails! They were able to handle our large group. The food was great! Ordered one of the specials, enchiladas, and it was awesome! Highly recommended!

Stopped here to eat while riding on the Hatfield McCoy trail system. All I can say is that this place is amazing!!! The food was delicious and I plan on coming back next time we come into town. Thank you for the great service and amazing food!

Great little place for lunch or dinner after riding. Matawan and it's businesses are very offroad rider friendly. You can show up looking like a chunk of mud and still be welcomed with smiles and great food.

Riding the Hatfield McCoy trails and stopped in today with 10 riders. Excellent food and fast service for a reasonable price. 10 different meals and 10 very satisfied customers! Absolutely must stop in!

Our usual “Sunday after church” spot! But any day is a good day to run in to MiPueblito for Mexican food! Always excellent and friendly service. Food has always been good and served quickly, no matter the number in the group.

Yes, this is a great spot to eat! Great service, great food! Awesome to have such a unique experience in the heart of Matewan. Can’t wait to go back! We will eat here again!

Came from Ontario, Canada to ride the Hatfield McCoy trails and decided eat a late lunch and it was the best thing we did. There was seven of us in total and we all agree it's the best food we've had while on our visit to WV. Definitely give it a try if you are in the area.

Ate here twice while visiting Matewan. Will certainly go back when we return. Loved the beef tip Special Alex, I think it was named.

Awesome mexican food, huge portions, right in the center of town, clean, friendly staff. You can't go wrong here ! Just wish they'd add a delivery service so my guests at Devil Anse ATV Resort could even give them more business than they already do !
