Backwoods Camping & RV Park

This place was wonderful to stay at. My husband and I with our dog stayed in October 2023 and November 2023, once in the RV parking site and then in one of the cabins. We will definitely be staying there again. It is very clean there, and has two bathrooms with showers for the RV crowd. The cabin was very clean and nice to stay in. There is internet service that works well. It is close to riding trails for our SxS. Jennifer, who I spoke to making our first reservation over the phone was so nice and helpful. She is part of the reason we stayed there a second time. She runs the place so well, and is so nice herself. I can't wait to go back there in 2024.

Stayed with a large group and utilized cabin and RV camping. Very accommodating and clean! Nice and quiet location, can be a little hard to find if using Apple Maps we have found but overall really great place! Our group was able to stay in a cabin with our other friends staying directly across in their campers! We would definitely stay again!

Awesome place to stay! Cabin was perfectly clean, lots of outdoor space around the cabin. Hot tub , fire pit, room to unload, and central access to the trail system. Owners were super helpful and friendly. Very reasonable rates, would definitely stay here again!!

Friendly and very community-centered. Plenty of room with good-sized lots. They offer full hook-ups for RV's and even primitive camping for tent campers. It puts you right smack in the center of 3 major trailheads, all of which you could drive you machine too, no trailering required. Amazing locals and scenes to be had here, definitely returning to this place

We stayed in Backwoods Campground while riding Hatfield and McCoy ATV Trails. The sites were large enough for all of our gear ,it is pet friendly, the water pressure is awesome, and the electric is good .I recommend it to anyone looking for a campground that you can ride your machine right to the trailheads

Backwoods hosted our very large group and they were amazing! Huge sites, free firewood, and atv wash stations. They went above and beyond for our group. Everyone was very nice. Wifi was ok, cut in and out depending on where you were in the campground and probably how many people were using it. I didn't use the bath house... but there were only 2 showers for the campground. Sites are full hookup, so it wasn't a problem for us. We would definitely stay again!

We absolutely loved this place and will definitely stay again!! Super nice cabins and hometown friendly staff!! The trails aren’t far from the cabin at all so you ride right from the cabin onto the Buffalo Mt. trails on into the Devil Anse trails and then over to Rock house, which we loved being able to access all the trail systems right from the cabin!! You can ride your ATV over to Sherry Bo’s and eat some good home cooked food!! Awesome place!!! Thanks Jen!!

Great place to stop for the night. This is a halfway point on our 650 mile treck to see our daughter. Flat, open, graveled sites for easy rv set-up. Great staff. No cell service, but good wifi is available if you want to stay connected.

Very nice cute cabin with hot tub it was very clean. Super nice owners, good location to trail head, gas station, good restaurants close by. We will stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay, and had good access to the trails. The cabins were spacious and clean we had plenty room for a family of four. The campground was quiet and peaceful, I couldn't ask for a more relaxing atmosphere. The gentleman in the office was kind and helpful and attended to our needs. We will stay again.

Great place to stay. They have different size cabins along with full hook ups. Staff is friendly and really helpful. They also have bath houses if you take a tent. Nice oval paved .25 mile around the spots. Easy access to rock house, devil Anse, Buffalo mountain and bear wallow is a little far but you can still access easily. Also a great dinner is within walking distance...

I absolutely loved this place. Great access to the trail head for buffalo mountain/devil's anse. The cabins were clean and well equiped. Very nice location to either get gas or groceries. Continuous water heater was awesome, 8 dirty riders get to all have hot water for a shower, truly amazing! I look forward to coming back.

We stayed in one of the cabins. It was very very nice! We have stayed at Big Cedar Lodge before and the accommodation beat Big Cedar Lodge hands down! The lady's at the office are so nice and they keep everything thing so clean. It was such a nice getaway.

We loved staying at Backwoods Camping and RV park. Friendly people, convenient location to multiple trailheads, and nice cabins! I highly recommend staying at this campground. Can’t say enough good things about this place!

Stayed 4 days . It was the best . Everything is very close. Cabins are beautiful. Staff was incredible. Headed back for round 2 . Highly recommend

HUGE sites!! We are 58ft long (total) and the site was more than enough long. Site was so wide we could have parked another camper next to us. Free firewood. And the people in the office are FANTASTIC!! We'll be back!

Great rates compared to other places in the area. Sites are very large. The guy that runs the place is super nice. They dont charge extra for extra vehicles like other places. They have a free atv wash. And it's less than a mile from the trails. Will definitely stay here next time we come back.

Great place to stay. Looking for peace & quiet & large lots - this place has it! And only 1 mile on pavement to trail #59 on Devil Anse Trails & very close to Buffalo Mt Trails too. Further to Rockhouse Trails.

Very friendly atmosphere, place was clean and very well kept up. Would not hesitate to stay here again in the future
