Very delicious Home Cooked meal. Great Customer Service. The Lady who attended me made sure my food was cooked according to my Dietary Needs. The Prices are Fair for the food and did not disappoint. I will return here when I'm in Van Horn again.

If you enjoy supporting small restaurants, this is one to consider. Being a truck driver, the same ol’ truck stop food gets old. If you want a home cooked meal this is the place to stop.
The environment is not of five star decor or quality but that all goes away when your plate hits the table and the customer service is on a more personal level- like home.

Coming from the west, the hour time change right before reaching Van Horn can really mess you up, so we were very thankful Lindsay's Place is open until 9 pm. This is literally the last option before you leave town if you're east-bound.

My father and I both did the combo plate, while mom had the cheese enchiladas. My hubby ate his steak burrito before I could snap a picture.

Do not be dissuaded by the outward appearance of the place. The proprietor started a remodel that's been stalled due to COVID-19. The food is made to order and tastes great. We'll plan to come back if we do another trip through here.

Fun fact: the building is in a Tommy Lee Jones movie!

I go by here on my route almost every week and finally decided to try it. I had the chicken Fajitas and the flavor was amazing. Definitely a weekly stop from now on.

FOOD smells so good I forgot to take a picture one empty plate you didn't see was an awesome breakfast. Best service, food, waiting on tacos had to order from seeing 👀 pics. Chef accidentally made us taco platters instead of one asada and one chicken ROFLSNORT we're spoiled

great place to get a quick bite to eat after you fill up your truck at the Love's truck stop it looks like they have good Mexican food here I ordered the number 69 combo comes with a beef enchilada a cheese enchilada a tamale and a taco I think with rice and beans they make their chips fresh to order as you can tell by my photo they overcooked them a little bit the salsa is spicy to my liking and the best part is they have executive truck parking right out front the waitress a younger lady is a little timid and shy she said she's new the older lady seems very nice and friendly. I just read the other reviews and I'm definitely not going to check out the bathroom because I already ordered my food and I'm hungry LOL

As a lady trucker, I got the "Lady Trucker" breakfast and it was GREAT! Typical diner fare, nothing super fancy, but the server Louisa (?) was super sweet and friendly. I cant wait to try my tamales later for dinner 🤤🤤🤤🤤😋😋😋😋

Food is delicious. Everyone at the restaurant was very pleasant. I tried the Combo. I will be back my next time through the area. Truck parking right next door, or across the street at Love’s.

We stayed at Mountain View RV park one night and asked about where to eat dinner. We were told Lindsey's had great food and especially breakfast. It was not crowded, only 2 other tables of guests.
Don't expect fine dining - very old building and strange layout but welcoming. Music and TV were playing softly.
Menu is on the wall but you have to ask for details. Our server couldn't have been sweeter.

We opted for breakfast and had delicious, made from scratch pancakes, french toast, hash browns, eggs and bacon. Everything was prepared perfectly. Served with butter pecan syrup.

We would go back.

I apologize for my earlier review. I did not know this restaurant is cooking Tex Mex style. If you love tex mex try it. You might like it. I’m not a fan of the cross style. So I cannot give an honest opinion. I can say the food was hot and the staff is very friendly. Again my apologies to the owners fir my prior review. I removed it and I wish you all success at you cafe!

Absolutely awesome food hidden right across from the Loves. Truck parking and nice staff. If I ever come this way I'll be back for sure.

Very delicious authentic meal and the two ladies inside were so very nice. They will fill your belly with good food and laughter. They were so cute in their proud moment of sharing a bit of history that it was the location of a movie scene. I highly recommend this place for eatery and i will dine here every chance i get when passing through. Thank you ladies

The missus and I love to stop by local joints on our drive from LA to Austin. Popped in here and was pleasantly surprised with the great food and great service! The BBQ brisket sandwich was really good and so was the chicken fried steak.

This small business is an absolute delight. I have come here each time I visit Van Horn. Everything is made to order and fresh. They make great breakfast burritos and dinners, and the staff is friendly. Definitely worth the stop!

This place is fantastic. Living in Atlanta, I only thought that I've tried authentic Mexican cuisine but little did I know that I had not until we ate Mexican cuisine in the great state of Texas. The food here is super fresh and second to none. The only bad thing I would have to say about this place, is that now when I eat Mexican at home, I will always be disappointed 🤣. The brisket burrito is phenomenal. Great people that own and run this place, sat and talked with us for a few minutes and left off with a handshake.

This place isn't much to look at, if you're looking for a nice clean conventional diner, maybe you should go elsewhere, now if you're letting your stomach do the thinking for you and you want something that tastes amazing then this is the place. I have not had that good of a breakfast since my grandmother was alive. And I miss her cooking everyday. The people were friendly. The food was served relatively quickly and then you take a bite and your eyes roll in the back of your head as you swish it in your mouth and a smile will cross your face... I'm on a road trip. I never come by here. Not even close. The next time I go down to Texas I'll even go out of my way to come here.

My brother and I both had the 18 wheeler breakfast 🥞 and it's so much food we didn't quite finish it !
Old school style breakfast , like grandma used to cook ...

If you pass by here and don't stop to eat, I feel sorry for you.

Good food, friendly service, decent prices. Definitely recommend if you are traveling through, great for truckers too!

Lindsay's Cafe gets 5 stars from me. If there were a 10 star option I would've chosen it. I have had steak dinners out here on the road and every single time my steak is too done. I'm a med-well type of guy and these folks just hit the nail right on the head. I loved it and even cleaned the plate. Definitely will be back when I pass through again. Google says takeout only but you can dine in also. They are very welcoming and friendly. Mask was optional for me.

Clean quick and 1 class chicken fingers w 🍟. First good meal since Gulfport MS!
