I really love this park. It has a wonderful swimming area. After swimming it has a nice shower area so you can wash and change. Adults cost a dollar and children are free. You can't beat the price. It has wonderful picnic areas with grills close to the water. The park is very clean and well maintained. Security are wonderful . A place you must visit.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Full hookups! Showers are hot and sites are fairly private. Park employee told me they will be closing to redo the entire campground with major upgrades.

Great. Has become one of our favorite places as full time rv-ers. Clean park. Friendly, helpful staff. Lots to do. Close to local shopping
Only complaint is the proximity to interstate. consistent road noise in the distance but not excessive enough to disturb comfort. Sites are a little close to each other, but spacious.

Would definitely come again

Beautiful place for the entire family. Picnic areas, shade trees, playground area for the kids. You can host birthday parties, family reunions and much much more. Remember you must reserve a spot in advance to host a party and reserve your picnic table. The water is nice to take a swin or enjoy a boat ride, bring your jet skies too. Camping, basketball court, bike trails and much much more. Fun for the entire family. My son took a nap on the calm water. Remember to bring water, snacks, and etc. for your family to enjoy.

I've enjoyed this park as long as I can remember! 🤔 A long time!!!!!!!!!!!
The staff here has gone out of their way to make me comfortable during my stays here.
The canoing is out of this world!! There are little beaches all along the creek where you, and your family can stop and have some cold fried chicken, rolls, potato logs, etc.... Whatever you wanna pack in that ice chest. You better pack something because you will be getting
hungry hungry!!!! !!
There are unlimited things to do, you won't get bored. Bring your bike.
Bring a tent, camper, or RV, and you will have fun.
There are ropes to keep the kids out of the deep water, and keep the boat's away from the kid's.
Several pavilions ,and BBQ grills.
A super nice beach, and I can't tell you what it is going to be like after the renovation's.
Come see us after the park opens back up. There are a lot of neat things to do and see in the BEAUTIFUL state of ALABAMA
WELCOME

Great disc golf course! Start at the pullover after the entrance gate. It's well-shaded, so bring some mosquito spray, but totally worth it!

This is the second time we’ve stayed there. It is a lovely park. And some amazing trails. Full hook ups an amazing price, $18 without any discounts nine dollars with passport America. They have some challenging by hiking trails or you can stick to the paved roads which is fine. They have a gorgeous swimming area , sports area and a family trail with all kinds of exercise equipment. Highly highly recommend. I understand they are doing a major renovation at the end of January upgrading all their utilities water sewer and RV pads. We will be back.

I truly enjoyed our visit! We were able to rent a canoe and a kayak for a reasonable price. We met friendly folks, clean areas.

I stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I stayed at camp site 13. It was so spacious and felt secluded with water and electric. The bathrooms were clean and the shower was hot with great water pressure. There are lots of trails and disc golf. There is super easy access for kayaking as well! Two staff members stopped to ask if they could help me with my kayak. All the staff I encountered were super friendly and they have 24 hour security. Can't wait to come back!

This campground was a huge surprise for us. We stayed here while visiting local relatives. Campground and park clean and quiet. Great location and some nice mountain biking we have done here in the past. Don’t be the first of the day in the trail. Spiders are huge and webs across trail. Not expensive for FHU. They also have swimming area and disc golf but we did not use. Will be back someday. Stayed here in August 2019.

Plenty of space to run around have covered areas for birthday party camping and rv/camper spots disc golf. Absolutely love this place.

This is an awesome park. We stayed 2 nights. It is close to freeway but you barley hear it outside, nothing inside. Lots to do here, lots to see..close to everything. Nice, quiet, peaceful, and very clean. Real nice folks work here.

They have rental canoes with reasonable rates, hiking trails, pet friendly areas, a small "beach" on the river, picnic areas, plenty and of parking space. This is a great place to spend an afternoon or even the whole day. I brought my dog and we hiked the trails then hung out by the river on one of the piers. It's right in the heart of the city but you'll feel like you've escaped to nature! Very peaceful spot and great for the whole family, friends or even as a solo hiking or biking day. Definitely check it out!

Great family place to go swimming. The park employees are awesome and keep it safe. They've replaced old tables and benches. Open to all just no pets unless it's service animals with proof of that and shots up to date.

This campground was #2 of 49 we set up in over the following 120 days. The staff was very friendly, courteous and helpful. We stayed 3 nights in order to visit the USS Alabama for their WWII Reunion and Re-enactment. As a mountain biker, what a treat to ride from the campsite directly onto the trails. It took a couple of rides to figure out the trail system. I need reading glasses to see maps and I don't bother, just ride and enjoy the adventure, you're never far from civilization. Campers on our loop were very courteous, as well, by not banging vehicle/RV doors and compartments in the wee hours. That irritating behaviour would start up in the near future. There are many activities within the park to keep families busy and close enough to town for necessities. This is a great park to visit!

I stayed here with an RV. Great value! Full hookups, which are not always expected at a county park. Sites have lots of space and lots of trees. Access to athletic fields and hiking trails. Only 7 miles from downtown Mobile. You can't beat this place.

Giving this place five stars based on the value or the bang for your buck. Nice, clean and the staff go out of their way to keep this place clean. Very friendly lady (Mary) at the check in gate.

Try to stay away from the lower site numbers 1 thru 7 as these are close to a large sewage treatment plant. We walk down there and the smell wasn't bad, but on a hot day....

A bit of traffic noise from I-65 but not enough to bother me.

Roads into the place can be a bit rough. Large rigs shouldn't have a problem. But, be very careful pulling out with your rig at the checkin booth. Very little wiggle room there and you can see where campers have hit the roof of the checkin office when departing.

I will go back there the next time I'm passing through.
