The Feedmill Cafe

Only serious adventurers will find this place. It wasn't on the map. Or something the locals only know about. Ha! It was a beautiful day and we decided to take the "back roads" or to try a different route north up the Keneewa Peninsula. If we would have blinked our eye then we would have missed it, but instead we turned around. Just the kind of places we like to discover. Home cooking at it's best. So I went for it and got the hot beef sandwich. Homemade bread, homemade gravy with chunks of meat, real mashed potatoes. My daughter got the Ruben that looked amazing. The waitress was super sweet, even though you could tell we weren't from around these parts. Always making sure my coffee was full. Wish we would have had room for pie. I'm sure it would have been delish. 🤤

Fantastic place for dinner. I think they have fairly new owners. A year or so ago I was not a fan of this place, the portions were lacking and the consistency was poor. Now it's so much better. The portions are generous, the food tastes great, and the consistency on each visit is exactly what you'd hope for. I've tried multiple dishes here and each is excellent and generously portioned. I'm also impressed with the variety. There's pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, and dinner platters among other things.

It's a great place to go if you're unsure about what exactly you want but don't want to cook. You'll probably find a favorite on the menu. This is definitely a place where you need to be hungry or ready to bring leftovers.

This is the best fried white fish I have found. Last night was excellent. The fish was not only great as usual but it was smoking hot. The vegetables were better than normal. I don't like steamed crunchy vegetables and I don't like over cooked ones either. The vegetables last night were perfect. Potatoes were changed to reds and those were good too. The crew was nice and prompt. The building was updated since the last time with a new floor. So all in all a very nice dinner.

Our food experience while on vacation in the UP has been disappointing so far to say the least. But I just had the best breakfast food served at a restaurant I've ever eaten! The staff was friendly and it was cheap. Will definately be back before we leave town!

This place is literally in the middle of nowhere but luckily that's where I was. Good all-american eats, good service and a good sundae. Stop in ... if you can find it.

You can tell its definitely a locals spot. Off beaten path. But they treat you like family which was really nice.

My opinion best place for breakfast in the u.p it is a drive though from hougthon well worth it!

Great country restaurant. The location make for a great Saturday morning bike ride from the Houghton area.
