Yes, this is a wine shop, but it is so much more!

The owners have curated an excellent selection of home, kitchen, and garden doodads that are useful, aesthetically pleasing, and not just stuff you see everywhere. Lots of Maine makers and locally produced items are available. They have a small but interesting selection of food items, largely Maine-sourced. Their wine selection is really well curated- you’ll probably find something you haven’t seen before. They have a fridge with oysters and other nibbles to go with your wine. You can sit out at the picnic tables to enjoy your tipples and snacks with a quintessential New England barn view, too.

Worth a visit, even if you’re not a wine person

Brilliant! Great wine selection and the host and caretakers are just amazing! The setting is just perfect. Brought a cribbage board and stayed for the afternoon, eating oysters and tinned fish.

We enjoy visiting the Walpole Barn. They have interesting items for the home, as well as an eclectic wine selection. The owners are lovely.

We are thrilled our friend took us to this magical place. None of us were hungry we were just gonna peek in to plan for next time.
Before we even walked in I was mesmerized by the openness and beautiful displays. Gorgeous gifts! Amazing wine selection! We ended up sitting in a sweet shady spot in the back with 2 dozen fresh, delicious oysters, great local beer and my new favorite Prosecco.

The owners are joyous in their proprietorship and travel extensively gathering great wines for their customers. A great selection, all price points, and wonderful accoutrements like cheeses, oysters and the like. They also have a wonderful store with great specialty housewares...I live nearby and they are a treasured local resource. Lovely business run by lovely people - definitely worth adding to your list of things to do while in the area.

My husband and I have stopped here twice now and we absolutely love it. We will start stopping here every time we are in town! Wonderful array of gifts and gadgets, this time we bought some kelp soap, a painting and some wine. Absolutely love the store and the owners are wonderful to talk to!

Amazing selection of wine. If you ever need a recommendation for a wine for whatever occasion ask Warren. Even his inexpensive choices are amazing.

A great selection of home decor, local food/beer/wine, trinkets, gifts, etc. We always make sure to stop when we visit for vacation and I browse for a while - there is so much to see. Tastefully set-up and decorated, you will love shopping in this barn.

It was our 1st anniversary the other day and my wife brought me to the Walpole Barn! We were hope there was going to be a wine tasting but the weather pushed it to another weekend... No worries though because there was enough amazing wine (the grapefruit rose was amazing) fabulous cheese and some tasty salami meat to make our own charcuterie board! The owners were so gracious to let us take all of our purchases out into the garden for a picnic. We were there for 3 hours enjoying our selections. I would recommend the Walpole Barn for sticking up for your next garden or evening party or just for escaping and indulging for a few hours there.

Maine is a treasure trove of great picnic spots...and where do y go when u want to craft the perfect picnic? Head here and grab some amazing wine, cheeses and other goodies as you peruse the cool crafts, decorative items and games that welcome u as u first enter the barn. Yes this is a real barn that in and of itself is worth checking out, as are the amazing proprietors who are always up for a chat and dispensing advice about their goods and the surrounding area or just life in general.

I always enjoy walking into the barn. We are always greeted with a wave and smile from proprietors Deb and Warren. Awesome wine selection, fresh Oysters, and lots of cute gifts.

Interesting place with a wide variety of items for sale, form household items to unusual wines, to daily specialty foods. A little off the beaten path for our trip, but well worth the detour. Highly recommended.
