The Hut Restaurant

Our 1st time here today. FYI, the booths are cute, but are from the beginning of time, so choose a table for stability instead! Looked at the menu ahead of time. I had a roast beef 1/2 sandwiche with Tuscan chicken soup, and husband had country fried steak. He loved his! I loved mine was great too! Enjoy my pictures. Loved our waitress! The decor is crazy in here. Shingles on the INSIDE ceiling!

Burgers are very good and pretty cheap. Also tried the ribs, which were good. One diner in our group had the chili and said it was very good. Service was good. As an FYI this restaurant does not serve alcohol.

Cozy up north vibes with good hearty servings of well seasoned food. My husband and I split a large roast beef sandwhich, open faced over toasted bread with mashed potatoes and gravy, and it was delicious! Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals and our waitress was quick and kind.

An iconic Keweenaw restaurant with good food, wonderful service, and an interesting atmosphere. Great place to get pasties, too!

Restaurant was very clean, service was great! Food was fresh, hot, and plenty to fill you up! We traveled 1,150 miles to give this place a review. It was NOT a disappointment, definitely worth going to!

Home style food in large proportions. The smothered chicken was excellent. Same for the pork chops and liver & onions. Fun rustic atmosphere with excellent service.

Large and filling portion sizes, flavors were decent but wasn't particularly outstanding. The french onion soup of the day definitely kicked off the meal with a punch of flavor, but the chilli soup was bland in comparison. The Danwich was stacked and filling, onion rings were crispy and delicious but the taco salad despite being fresh was lacking in its taco meat seasoning, with ranch and salsa pulling it across the finish line. Service was fantastic and courteous, with a great atmosphere and vibe.

Huge potato skins, full basket of zucchini sticks, daily special was delicious, and the large chopped steak was definitely a hearty serving and the side of wild rice was hearty as well. Super friendly waitress (Lia) with prompt service. Glad we decided to come even though there was a few negative reviews. I would highly suggest when in the area.

We had the small Lake Superior whitefish (Friday night special, you know). It came baked, and was delicious. The atmosphere is very cozy and rustic. No alcohol or beer, in case that's important to you. It was busy, but we were seated fairly quickly and were served in a reasonable amount of time.

Food great, our server was awesome. Booth sitting could definitely use repairs or bring a cushion with you for support to not sink in. Low lighting, but I enjoy it better than a huge bright light in my face especially with migraine.

The food was great! Service was hopping! The staff were moving constantly. Large portions. We loved it.

Always enjoy coming back to The Hut. My dad worked here as a teen so I feel like we grew up with it as kids. Food is always good.

This place is truly unique! The atmosphere on the inside reminds us of something from the 60s or 70s with the low sloping ceilings and the elongated layout. Everything is clean and modern which makes it great. I highly recommend the lasagna or the Big BLT. I would have taken a picture of both but I ate them too quickly.

Great food and very generous portions. Ask for the special! Definitely try the roast beef and chef salad!

Unlike most other businesses in the UP, this place is open when advertised. We tried half a dozen other places all over the UP and landed here. Upon entry, you step back into 1983 and furnishings are tired. But, we were pleasantly surprised. Wait staff was very friendly, prices were reasonable, and portions were very generous. Fries are double-battered and delivered crispy. Food was warm, if even a little too warm, and meals were enjoyed. Nice bathrooms and ample parking.

Another place that if I don't have at least one meal here my vacation doesn't seem complete. Pretty good liver and onions. The Pasty Net Pasties are great to pick up for a lunch on the road.

I've been coming here for 30 years. Always great food and a unique look.

This place has excellent food. We got the pasty’s, they were great and the gravy was awesome! Get the side salad, the ranch was killer!!! So glad we stopped here
