Sego Restaurant

I wish I can give more than 5 star to this place! Everything is absolutely perfect! We were greeted by a very polite boy and server was awesome! Food was absolute mind blowing. We had broccolini in chili oil, focaccia bread, spicy vegetables noodles and ended with banana bread pudding. Local beer was also very well went with food. It’s a must visit in Kanab. Would like to go again.

Absolutely the best meal we had while in Utah for a week. Creative food served in shareable-sized portions. The kitchen really knows how to cook delicious food and they can handle dietary restrictions, too. We had fried rice with egg, charcuterie and a beet salad (that was gobbled down before we could take a photo).

We had an excellent meal and beautiful, delicious cocktails at Sego! The prickly pear margarita was almost too pretty to drink!
From the moment we entered and were warmly greeted by the host, to our informed, friendly service by Derek, we knew we'd made a good dining decision. The food was nicely presented and the best meal we've had on our 3 week trip. The Duck Lo Mein, asparagus, and wild mushroom focaccia we split were just right for the two of us. You can't go wrong here!

This restaurant blew us away! Easily the best meal I had anywhere in Utah, and one of the best of my life. Each dish was unique, balanced, fresh, and utterly delicious. The Prickly Pear Margaritas are outrageously good too. If you’re looking for an outstanding meal this is the place.

Food and drinks here were delicious and definitely the best food we had during our Utah/Arizona road-trip. Portion sizes were big and we struggled with 2 mains, 2 sides and dessert!

One of the best dining experiences in my life!!! The staff were very professional and polite. The atmosphere was very calm and relaxing. The food was absolutely PHENOMENAL, and was THE BEST STEAK I have ever eaten in my life!!! I strongly recommend the AZ Beef, and pretty much every dish, because everything is amazing!!!! Meant to write this review a while ago. Came in back in May. We were looking for a restaurant that wasn’t a chain restaurant with good strong drinks. This place was really good overall. The only odd thing was waiting to get a table. It was very unorganized and seemed understaffed which May didn’t seem like peak tourist season in the area yet. But… our young waiter (so forgot his name), was GREAT. Super attentive and took his job seriously. The drinks and food were excellent. Were from NYC area , lived in Asia before and very surprised that the food was 5*. I’d recommend making a reservation in advance.

The food, drinks, and service are all outstanding! What a treat. I hope the area knows a good thing when it's in their midst and heartily supports this fabulous eatery. Kudos to the chef and to the staff. YUM!

Absolutely a wonderful experience. The fusion is delicious and fun. Meals are meant to be shared, expect 4-5 plates for two people. Blown away by not only the food but the friendliness of the staff

An amazing way to wrap up an incredible day of touring. We felt very welcomed by the the knowledgable staff who were quite attentive during the whole meal. They had one of our favorite red blends on the wine list (Banshee Mordechai) and the server made a good estimate of how many plates we would share.
All were excellent. The sego noodles, the elote fritters, scallops, asparagus and foraged mushrooms were all presented/ plated beautifully with a mastery of sauces, novel cheeses and different notes. Yes, that’s a complicated statement but this place will rival any big city boutique restaurant in a heartbeat. Thanks for making precious family time special.

Amazing incredible meal! My friends and I loved it! They has something for everyone,
Gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian ! Super creative dishes! Shout out to the chef! The ribs, the beet dish, the brisket toast, the corn eliotes were all a hit for my group!

The food was wonderful!! Our group shared the prime rib tacos, sego Noodles, grilled cheese, fried rice, and artichoke and foraged mushrooms. All were enjoyed. Would definitely go back and recommend.

My mouth is watering just thinking about writing this review... we were so impressed with Sego! I would expect food of this caliber from a big city, but this gem in Kanab might be worth the trip down South alone. My partner and I ordered 4 dishes to share and it was the right amount for us, but we still wanted more! Thanks for the great gastronomic experience, we'll be back.

Small restaurant, delicious food. Tried their apple cider and fell in love with it. Amazing elite fritters, didn't like the street tofu. Amazing shrimp fried rice and crab sego noodles. The torte in the end was good. It was not too expensive either. Would definitely recommend

Sego was a great experience. The atmosphere is warm with good lighting and light music. The staff were attentive and responsive. And the food is awesome. Sego is a small plate experience restaurant. My wife and I shared 5 dishes plus dessert. This was very filling and we were starving from a full day of hiking. The cocktails were solid too. Certainly an great dinner place in Kanab.

After browsing Yelp, this seemed like the best place to eat in Kanab. Then our tour guide and another local confirmed that, so we had to try it.

This is the kind of restaurant I wouldn't expect to find in a small tourist town. It was an incredible meal. We ordered entirely too much food for two people, but we couldn't narrow it down any more.

If I had to pick, I'd say my favorites were the Sego Mac, the Artichoke & Foraged Mushroom Toast, and the "Grilled Cheese". I don't think you can really go wrong with anything on the menu.

The only thing I wouldn't get again is the scallops. They weren't bad, but they were a bit chewy (not as smooth as butter like I would want).

We made a reservation for 5pm on a weekday. It was the only one left, but I don't think a reservation was necessary at that time since it was pretty empty. I would guess that's not the case later in the evening.

This spot is a must try in Kanab in my opinion.

Dinner was a delight. Langoustine Mac to die for. The crispy skin on the fish was truly a pleasant surprise. The satay had one of the best peanut sauces I’ve ever had. Derrick was an amazing waitress. Very attentive and great suggestions. Who knew in our little town there wold be such a treat. Will be back

My 50th birthday dinner from my daughter the first night in Kanab, she had made reservations 1 week in advance. Great decision she made too, the food was top notch and some of the best 5 star dining we've done! We had the Honey bootlegger and Old fashioned, Baked brie toast, Beet garden fare and Duck lo main and Banana bread pudding. We were lucky enough to meet the chef and he's an amazing man, our server and service was great.

This was our first trip from Phoenix, Arizona and as you can see we'll be back as I said our first trip!

One of my favorite dining experiences of my life! I took my mom here for her birthday on a roadtrip and the food was absolutely delicious, staff all very sweet, and the atmosphere was perfect. We made reservations in advance.

Should you find yourself in Kanab and want a special meal, I highly recommend Sego. Great ambiance, friendly service and delicious food. The scallops, foraged mushrooms and duck lo mein were especially good.
