Eva is very knowledgeable and friendly. She really knows her stuff. The best antique store I have found in kalama. Many more things I want to buy! Don't skip this little shop just because its by the liquer store!

I walked in hoping to shop with my fiancé for our wedding. Within 2 minutes the owner was belittling and berating us and telling us to “go to the other side of town”.
choose kindness instead of unnecessary rudeness!

Very unpleasant experience in this antique shop…
Went to Kalama to do some antique shopping for the day and this was the first stop. Walked in with my fiancé to look around. Owner asked, “Anything I can help you with?” I said, “No thank you, just looking around.” Then she said, “Have you checked the other two antique shops near by?” I said, “No, not yet. Are they yours?” She said no, but then went on about how her shop is real vintage and the other shops are not. Even saying the other shops have candy, candles, and other new things so they are not real antique shops. Which I thought was odd. Then she started talking about how, “This country is not a free country like most people think.” I thought ok… whatever. Then she asked where I’m from and I told her I am from Longview. To which she said, “But where did you “originate” from?” I told her I am from Egypt. Then she started talking about how “this country is turning into a socialist nightmare with all the people who just want handouts. And all this social media and social programs are just to control the people. All these people are on state assistant and getting handouts.” Then I had to interrupt her stating, “I’m not sure where this conversation is going.” Then I had to literally tell her that I actually work as a public servant for the state where, “I help older people like you with in-home and long term care services and I have never received any handouts nor was I ever on state assistance. And, if I had been there shouldn’t be anything wrong with that either.” Owner of this store was rude, and made comments that were disturbing and racist. This was the first time ever walking into her shop and it felt like I was walking into a different era.

Strange lady lecturing about how she doesn’t understand all this “gender stuff” and how the other shops in town suck.
