I own a travel business and we've stayed at a lot of B&Bs … and this is the best I've ever been too. It all starts with Mary who is absolutely a wonderful host. Her constant smile and enthusiasm is contagious. She also knows the area well and is super helpful. Mary provides access to her plentiful collections of books and materials to help people decide what to see and do. She recommended a few hikes that we might have missed and they were very enjoyable … even in the heat wave.

When you returned "home," Mary constantly had cookies on the ready in the lobby. Yum. Our room (where Thomas Edison once stayed) and bed was incredibly comfortable. Great air conditioning in the middle of a heat wave kept us comfortable at night. Finally, Mary provided an awesome breakfast every day as well excellent coffee on demand. If you're looking for a good place to stay … and a good base of operations in the White Mountains … then look no further. This is it!

All I can say is this place is beautiful and Mary the owner was fabulous. If your in this area of New Hampshire I would definitely would recommend. FYI there are no TV's in the rooms, first time for us and we loved it. There is a TV in the main area of the home if you need your fix. Stay and enjoy.

We visited the Mulburn in early May 2019. The weather was lousy, but the Inn was gorgeous, our room toasty warm, the food delicious, and Mary the Innkeeper just a delight. The bed was very comfortable, the breakfast filling and perfectly cooked, and the shared fridge generously stocked. We could not have asked for a more wonderful and relaxing weekend. If you are looking for a place to stay, The Mulburn Inn is The Best! Thank you Mary, we look forward to coming back soon!

I cannot say enough good things about this place. It was very clean and welcoming. Mary was very accommodating and professional. She was pleasant and very open. We stayed in the presidential room which was more money but worth it. We will return for sure.

The distance to North Conway is approximately 48 miles via Crawford Notch but it is a nice ride by car or motorcycle.

Pretty good Italian restaurant within walking distance called Rosa Flamingo strange name but worth it to stop in.

We planned on staying two nights but ended up staying a third night. The Mulburn Inn just feels like home. The house itself is beautiful and very comfortable. The grounds are lovely and the room was very comfortable.
Mary, the innkeeper, just really makes everyone feel right at home, she really adds a lot to the experience. The breakfast were wonderful and the staff was very helpful. We loved our time at the Mulburn Inn.

-24 but we were warm and cozy at our Inn!
We stayed in the Jefferson room. The house is historic and beautiful! The Innkeeper Mary was attentive to every need. She made excellent dinner recommendations and even made our reservations. Her breakfasts were elegant, hardy and delicious!. We would return in any season!

My girlfriend and I stayed in the Jackson room at the Mulburn Inn. Our room, as well as the rest of the house, was beautiful. The furniture and decor seemed very appropriate for the old timey vibe of the house. The inn had communal areas where you could chat with other guests, as well as locations outside your room where you could sit and quietly read a book. Mary, the proprietor, was very kind and accommodating, including making a special breakfast for me due to my dietary restrictions. The location was great because it was a short drive to multiple skiing resorts. Having the option to go to different nearby mountains was a great perk. Mary was able to offer discounted lift tickets and coupons on rentals to some of those mountains, as well. The only draw back of the whole experience was that we didn't see any ghosts of the family that originally lived here. Besides that, staying at The Mulburn Inn was a very pleasant experience.

Needed to get away for a couple days. The Mulburn Inn is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are warm and comfortable, filled with history. Mary, the owner, was so nice and is an amazing cook! She suggested several places to visit and restaurants that were wonderful. We will definitely be back to visit again.

My husband and I stayed at this B&B in the Jefferson room for a couple days this past 4th of July weekend. Mary is a gem! So personable, easygoing, welcoming, and just makes you feel so comfortable. The breakfast was always so delicious and everything was so clean and tidy. We will definitely be returning again. 😊

We love the Mulburn Inn. It is like going home with every trip. The house is gorgeous and has character. There are so many neat parts to explore. Mary, the innkeeper, is like an old friend you'll never lose, a sister you missed, and someone you want to talk with for hours. And she cooks amazing breakfasts! We've even requested a recipe from her once! Anytime we stay in other bed and breakfasts, we always compare to Mary and the Mulburn Inn. No one has topped her yet! Almost arriving there now and a friend who asked our weekend plans said, "say hi to Mary." Where else would we be staying?

We spent 3 wonderful days at the Mulburn Inn and loved it! Spent 2 nights in the Madison Room, the same room that Thomas Edison stayed in....and then moved to the Jackson room.....both rooms were lovely and when we go back we will stay in the room that Cary Grant stayed in or maybe the room that Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio stayed in! Mary, our hostess and innkeeper, was fabulous and provided so much help and information on the area and also the best breakfasts ever.....her stuffed french toast is to die for and she shares recipes! One evening, when the inn was full, we all sat in the beautiful drawing room, drinking wine, and enjoying the company of Mary and other guests from across the US, Canada, England and Peru! This Inn harkens back to the early days of gracious living in summer "cottages"......It is well worth the drive!

Beds comfy, rooms spacious and antique (of course with modern day comforts and flare), food deliciously amazing, charm (quintessential B&B), Owner – ties it all together!! Been here twice. Loved it the first time. But with the new ownership…I can’t wait to be back. Mary is friendly and kind, a great cook, and genuinely enjoys everyone who stays at the Mulburn. My wife and I caught her on the way up to bed a couple of times and ended up chatting with her about the history of the house and her life. The next morning she was wide eyed and bushy tailed making everyone breakfast and giving her advice on where to go antiquing, hiking, etc. I’d give this place 10 stars if I could. I’ll certainly be back. Thank Mary for making our Labor Day trip into an awesome and memorable anniversary weekend.

My fiancée and I stayed the night after hiking Mt Lafayette. The comfortable bed and welcoming ambiance was exactly what we needed after our hike! So very relaxing! We sat out on the porch with tea in the evening before calling it a night. Mary was sweet, welcoming and made a delicious breakfast in the morning where we chatted with other guests over coffee. An absolutely amazing host and knowledgeable about the area as well! The whole experience felt more like being a guest in someone's (beautiful) home than an impersonal hotel! We will absolutely be back, probably for our next hike!

My wife and I stayed at the Mulburn Inn in the Washington Room. It was magnificent and the extra large Victorian bathtub was awesome. We enjoyed the common room with fireplace and had a wonderful stay. I would highly recommend the Mulburn. Staff was so nice !

The inn was all I had expected, quaint and homey. The Innkeeper was inviting . The inn had an amazing history which the innkeeper was nice to share with us. The accommodations were very clean and the atmosphere relaxed. The breakfasts were amazing and our stay much too short. We would have loved to stay longer. We highly recommend this beautiful inn.

Had a wonderful experience here over the weekend. The building was beautiful and had a very nice inn keep. She was very nice and went above and beyond for our entire party. Next time I come to stay in the area I will gladly come back to the Melburn Inn!

This is the quintessential Inn. Mary is the perfect host. If you are traveling in Northern NH and need a place to rest, rejuvenate or just explore, this Inn is the only place to go.
