My boyfriend and I were driving back from Old Forge and spotted this gem. The hanging baskets were beautiful! They had so much variety. The owner was so friendly as well. He went out of his way to explain his products and frosted us some fresh out of the oven cinnamon rolls. Will definitely make the hour and a half trip out to see this place again.

Great place with great greenhouses! Found this place just driving by for a day trip. The owner pulled out a few freshly baked cinnamon rolls for us that were fantastic. I’ll be stopping here the next time I am on my way to Inlet!

I am so impressed with this family owned business. I purchased two Wreathes they measured 24 inches wide for only 20.00 each Hand made. I was watching them make it. Home cooked also. Friendly place. I will be back.

Matteson's is a wonderful family run farm and green house. It is a magical place to be if you have a green thumb. The ladies at the shop took great care of me today and I look forward to seeing the guys at the farmers market when that reopens. Wonderful produce, stunning flowers, and excellent service! You will NOT be disappointed.

Entire family loved the meatball bread, fresh produce, and kind people. Would have loved to try the stuffed cabbage or other ready to heat homemade dinners, but we're heading home via a long car trip. So glad we stopped here!

We were driving to Old Forge and turned right onto the road where Matteson's Market is located. My boyfriend is who I call, plant daddy, and the flowers at this place were calling his name. We stopped in, looked around, and they have everything you could need. Meals to go, grocery items, bakery treats, and of course plants. He saw one he needed and we grabbed it on our way out of town. Definitely stop in. You are sure to find something to buy.

Good people, good produce, good cooks, nicest possible place. Their frozen entrees are so darn good to take along - lasagna, eggplant parm, well seasoned and delicious. And nursery plants too, love thus place. They have a booth at the Old Forge Farmers Market. Yay!!

GREAT little gem on the cusp of the Adirondacks. If you are just passing trough, stop for some of their fresh fruits and veggies! (The fresh strawberries, peaches and tomatoes are a favorite!) They also have homemade canned goods that reminded me of my Grandmother's!!! We were welcomed with a BIG SMILE and wonderful aromas...there were like six different types of pizzas sitting there hot and ready to be devoured!!!

The olive bread is to die for! My husband's favorite is the spreadable beet/horseradish cheese. Last week at the farmer's market in Old Forge, I bought the best Galumpkis (Polish stuffed cabbage rolls) I've ever had! One day this week after a long day working in the yard, I popped one of Matteson's famous dinners in the oven - chicken parm & spaghetti - delicious! Highly recommend a visit to their store - rounding the corner on Route 28 at While Lake toward Old Forge or finding Jim at one of the many farmer's markets in the area! I'm looking forward to a cozy couple days in one of their cabins during a beautiful snow fall this winter....

My two sons (8 & 6) and I bought 13 pies. We bought 4 for our camping trip and then 9 more to bring home 4 days later. The owner went above and beyond and froze our pies the day before for the airplane ride home to AZ. Oh...my two little guys insisted we drive an hour out of our way back to Albany to pick up the other pies. Best we've ever had. Sadly, better than mine. Apple, Peach, Raspberry, Blackberry, and all types of combos. Yummy!!

Amazing, locally sourced produce, and fresh home made baked goods. The owner even gave us amazing recipes for how to cook some of the produce.
