ShopRite of Ellenville

Fantastic selection of goods! Very well stocked at this location. Reminds me of how shoprite or any grocery franchise where I used to live used to be! I was blown away honestly! Even the prices are so much better. I just read a review though about a planned store closing in 2024

I certainly hope that's not going to happen. You guys have a wonderful thing going here. I certainly hope to see this place thrive for years to come. I am grateful to see a store like this especially these days where there usually aren't many stores that are so well stocked and well organized and maintained with that early 2000's nostalgic design! I love this place!

Nice spread of meat, bread, fruits, and vegetables, and everything looked fresh! They also have a large vegan selection. The place is clean and new! I've been frequenting the other big box store, down the road. Thinking this place takes the cake! Did I mention their baking area was impressive, as well! Nice job guys

I always loved your store in Ellenville and love it more after you did upgrade redesign several years ago. Your staff, your store layout, your variety of items at great prices make every visit for me a superlative event.
I am broken hearted to hear of the planned store closing in 2024.

I like this store because it is well stocked, fish is very fresh , organic veggies available, deli has good options , workers are helpful and friendly when I am looking for an item. I wish the cashiers at the checkout would bag our groceries. Some are more willing but some don’t even attempt to even when it is an older customer.
When a customer bags they are slower and maybe that makes the wait on the line longer.

Love this store! I really don't want it to close.

Beautiful clean store. Well stocked. Update 7/2023 hard to find a lot of products, I'm not used to that . Prices were very high on most items, compared to groceries in South Florida. Pick up order today. Perfect!

Staff is always friendly and courteous. Deli team is way better than Monticello. Smaller location but still have everything, so I appreciate this location.

My only complaint in this area is the produce and changes in their department not just in this store but everywhere. I'm not changing my rating but I'm verbally calling out shoprite corporations. Those bagged string beans are awful and expire way before the date. I asked what they're injected with because it Tastes like fish when they're bad and I don't microwave either i boil.... just gross. And the produce is often rotted, not fresh: broccoli cauliflower potatoes are my biggest complaints. I often just avoid buying produce or go with frozen if I go here to shop. With inflation and everything going on it's just unacceptable and again this isn't pinpointed to one location, this is many stores because I've been shopping around. It was better before the changes that were made but you can't sell green potatoes and for months I had to avoid them and buy red because you were selling rotted potatoes

Very good. First time eating there since they opened. Just stopped in for lunch and a beer. Had the scallop appetizer that was very nice. Since it was lunch I had a burger which was very good and cooked the way I ordered it. Even had dessert of assorted sorbet which was very good after a large lunch. Overall I will be back and would recommend to a friend. Looking forward to having dinner there. On one note I believe the beer prices have lowered since the last owners and this is good thing as they were too high under the previous owners! Good job overall!!

Customer service is too notch! We were stranded waiting for the bus in the sun with 3 hungry kids and they gave us a rotisserie chicken when we only asked for a discount because we could not afford the regular price. Thank you SO much for your big hearts ShopRite of Ellenville ♥

I usually go to Google to bash ShopRite because they're more concerned with the number of bags then cleaning their stores or hiring friendly people but today I am giving a five-star review to the ShopRite in ellenville New York, ShopRite uses the worst paper bags have some glass bottles of coffee and cereal in one of the bags and the the double bag I had it and ripped in the parking lot two of the coffees broke and the cereal box got wet, there was an employee outside enjoying her break and playing on her cell phone and she saw this happen she ran over to me and then went inside and replaced all the items and brought out new bags

The people at the deli counter are always amazing I always have a lot of requests and they are willing to take the time and do what I need. The store is always clean and there is plenty of Staff around to help if you need it. People complain that there is not enough registers open but we are in a small town and I do not mind waiting.

It was excellent there's a new lady manager Angela there and she was Hands-On with me resolving my situation very professional and I want to thank her I can't think of her name right now but she's just been transferred over there I believe she's was very superb and respectful in resolving the situation and I think Angela

Clean, safe and pretty well stocked.
People were very thoughtful, polite and courteous while in the store and outside with everyone following the guidelines during this difficult time.
A pleasure to shop there. We will come again. Thank you.

Great check out young man was extremely friendly and took time to greet us .wish i could remember his name alls it says on reciept was terminal 9 operator 102 ... They had everything in stock i was looking for which now adays is such a great thing. Keep up great work guys ..Stay safe

Other than the cashier outright lying to me to my face. Then when another associate came to assist, she re-stated her lie so the other person could confirm the lie. New York State recycling "laws" DO NOT forbid the cashing in of bottle slips. It isn't an offense you will need to go to court for if caught .
I know it is ShopRites policy to limit daily interactions of recycling slip to no more than 12:00. The lie was bad enough...but the gut punch was when your associated asked me and I quote "Why didn't you just take these to your home store"
**** Because ShopRite is Shoprite is ShopRite...period!!!*****
Is this how the story managers Jerry Novobilski trains his cashiers? No I doubt that. I feel that Pat may need a refresher course.

Ps This is no way sways my judgement on ShopRite. My "local store" (that was inadvertently suggested that I go to) Is ALWAYS Welcoming and Friends far beyond what is expected of them. I'm hoping this was an isolated incident..

Wonderful helpful courteous employees. I drive over 1/2 hour out of my way to go to this SHOPRITE. Clean, well stocked. Top notch workers.

I enjoy shopping here. They have great sales & they are well-stocked on items I usually buy. I also notice that they're getting more vegan products, which I'm very happy about.
