Funk and Swagger Antiques

Funk & Swagger is one of Huntington’s treasure spots and a must visit (over and over again!) for anyone shopping for quality one of a kind pieces to add to their home. Over the years, many of the treasures there found a place in my home - from gorgeous and unique furniture, to artwork, to garden benches and concrete sculptures, to little curiosities - enabling me to create a blend of character and warmth in my home that one can never find in big box store. Even a pair of columns I discovered there made their way back home to create a separation between two of my garden rooms.
It’s not only the treasures waiting to be discovered that make Funk & Swagger the ultimate shopping experience. Mike and Amber are the creative souls greeting you whenever you walk through the door. Their knowledge, friendliness, and genuine warmth couldn’t make a finer shopping experience. Getting lost in the wonder of everything Funk & Swagger is always a pleasure!

The owner Mike is not only very knowledgeable and has an amazing selection of vintage items in his shop, he happens to be super cool, laid back and all about helping you find that perfect something for your home. This is an extraordinary place that should be visited if you're into really cool stuff. Never know what you're going find.

The folks at Funk & Swagger were SO helpful. I came in from Brooklyn looking to purchase quite a few pieces and they took me through their warehouse, their shop, and gave some incredible discounts for buying multiple pieces. Their advice was so helpful!

Although i’ve lived in Queens for 11 years, I grew up in huntington. I have passed funk and swagger more times than I can count. FINALLY i went in and I am SO GLAD that i did. It is so carefully curated and I loved the energy from the moment I walked in. Initially, i didn’t find a coffee table that I was looking for. Amber and I had a long convo about my style and she told me all about their warehouse that holds a variety of pieces. She showed me the coolest quirkiest coffee table I’ve ever seen. We bought it instantly and and are absolutely IN LOVE. We receive non stop compliments. I know that i can reach out to Amber or Michael and they would help me find whatever i’m looking for. I cannot recommend them enough.

Funk & Swagger isn’t just a store, it’s an experience! Mike and Amber have painstakingly curated a selection of antiques, vintage goods and ephemera that is simply unrivaled! (I’ve been at this 25 years). They have a great eye for items that stand on their own or can be repurposed into objet d’art (see pic). I particularly love the vintage books that are found throughout the shop in various vignettes. Many of them have found their way into my home library. Whenever I pop in I’m met with a warm friendly greeting and one of them saying “you gotta check this out!” So much fun! I can’t wait to see what they do for the holidays!

The best thing about going into Funk and Swagger is not only the unique pieces that you are encouraged to explore, touch and imagine in your world, but the excitement that Michael and Amber share with you about your vision. Their love of beautiful old things is contagious, and there is always something very cool to fall in love with in their spaces. What can’t I say about Funk & Swagger? Amber and Michael are amazing!! I love stopping in to browse and always find something “new to me”. They are knowledgeable shop owners with fabulous finds and a warehouse with tons of goodies! I highly recommend stopping in to browse, shop and chat with them. You will not be disappointed!!

I love this shop. They’ve got such good taste in what gets stocked and the owners, Amber and Michael are super nice. Whether I’m making a significant purchase or just browsing they’re always happy to help. They have dug through the basement for me on multiple occasions to locate a hidden gem based on some eclectic wish list item I described. And if they don’t have it I usually get a text a few weeks later that they managed to track whatever it was down :)

Funk and Swagger is hands-down my favorite Antique shop on Long Island. They always have the most unique finds. Michael and Amber are the best! Always so cheery, like rays of sunshine to brighten your day. They are also so incredibly knowledgable about their products which really enhances the customer experience. Every time I go to Funk and Swagger my day is made. Amber and Michael are the among the most worldly, passionate and considerate people I know. They carry high quality and unique antiques that I love learning about- many of which are now in my living room! Funk and swagger is an absolute Treasure trove on Long Island! All items in house are carefully curated for their quality, and historic significance. My wife and I have been buying from Michael and Amber for many years. Aside from being wonderful human beings, they both have an extraordinary eye for what they put in the shop. Our home is over 100 years old and is furnished mostly with pieces from them. It is always exciting to see what they bring into the shop every week. Michael and Amber both work very hard and travel far to find & hand pick the best items to offer to the community. All of the pieces are authentic, timeless, high quality that have outlived and will continue to outlive us all. For those complaining of the prices, well... it comes with the territory... this isn't Target, Ikea, Walmart and it certainly is not your typical 'antique store'. Funk & Swagger is a collection and those who appreciate it get to take a piece of it home.

A uniquely curated collection with something for everyone. We pop in regularly just to see what new treasures Amber and Michael have found for the shop. They even call us when they find something they know we’ll love. Our son says, “Let’s go see our friends at Funk and Swagger!” We highly recommend a regular visit to our favorite vintage spot- Funk and Swagger.

My favorite vintage store on Long Island. Amber and Michael have curated a great collection of amazing pieces, there is a little bit of magic around every corner. My daughter and I love to spend an afternoon browsing their eclectic treasures. There is always something new and surprising to find at fair prices. Some of our most loved possessions were purchased there. The owners are great and often have fun stories about the history of the pieces. Just go!
