Sook House Restaurant

Definitely the best place to eat in the area. Food and service is always very good and always consistent.I have never had something I didn't like here. I always go on Wednesdays for the dynamite roll because it's the special roll of the day. Each day of the week they do a special on a different type of roll. The teas are fresh brewed and not too sweet, just perfect everytime. The place is always clean. The employees are personable and always take good care of their customers.

As a local in Ellenville, I love giving Sook House business. This has been a family business for many years. They rarely have waiters or waitresses and is sometimes served personally. The food is fantastic, and there are many different rolls to choose from. My kids love Korean sodas!

Worth the stop if you are in the area.

We visit Ellenville fairly frequently. We usually stop in here for sushi and sake. Initially, we were a little concerned, as it doesn't often seem very busy. However, over the past few years, this place has never failes to disappoint! Sushi is always fresh & delicious. Sake is good quality for price and service is great. Nice place to kick back, have some drinks and delicious food after a long day.

Stopped in for lunch. Service was quick and friendly. Food was good. Place looked really interesting. It's a shame I won't be here to check it out at night. There are pool tables, chessboards, and a karaoke setup.

My absolute favorite place to eat! I come here atleast once a week. Sookhouse is so clean, the service is always great & the food hits the spot every time. I appreciate how accommodating they are to vegans. Def make sure you stop by here for lunch or dinner one day!

Sook house is THE BEST!!! My family just loves this place! We feel like family every time we come here! We have been coming here for years and Sook and her Son always, always accommodate us! Children can be such picky eaters, and Sook always makes sure the kids leave satisfied. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu! This place is very clean, the food is always fresh, and the service is great! Sook house will not disappoint !

Delicious! I am always impressed by the wonderful vegetarian and vegan options. I am never let down. The owner, Sook, is so very pleasant that even if you're there for take-out she'll brighten your day.

What a delight! Never had Korean food. Very fresh. And the flavors were delightful. Family run. Lunch specials, take out and seating. Hidden jewel in Ellenville NY. A definite must if you are looking for good food.

Pleasant surprise to find such great Korean food in this area of the Hudson valley. Seun is super cool and his mom is very friendly. Bulgogi beef was comparable to anything I’ve had in Manhattan. Udon soup was well prepared and flavorful and the sushi was fine. Comfortable laid back atmosphere if you want to dine in. Added bonus were the pool tables and games to entertain the children. Would definitely come back.

This is THE best sushi restaurant in the area! A quaint little place, very clean, fast and friendly service. Food is fantastic. I would eat there 2 times a day if I could!

A hidden gem!! We ordered the Dragon roll, spicy ramen, and Tuna sushi. The freshness and taste left me speechless. Will definitely return for more.

this place is awesome, im glad me and my friends found it, BEAUTIFUL pool tables, dope food, (crab roll soooooo good!!gyoza and crab puffs super yummy) and we got to listen to whatever music we wanted!! the service was amazing the staff was so polite!!! i wont ever go to newpaltz with all those stinky dirty bolshevik wanna-be's ever again!!!! One of our family's favorite places to eat! Sun (Seon?) and his mom are an amazing duo that serve up delicious Korean meals in a cozy and relaxed setting. You can tell there's a lot of love that goes into the cooking, much like you'd see with a home cooked meal.

Portions are great on the traditional entrees, and things like the dumpling soup or ramen are more than enough to share with a few friends or as a main with another person. Family style eating is definitely doable here, and I actually recommend it so you can try everything they have to offer.

The sushi and sashimi is amazingly delicious and fresh. There isn't a 2 page menu of sushi roll options like you'd have in a sushi restaurant, but what they do have is a perfect pairing with their traditional Korean entrees. My hands down favorite is the Charlie roll... a definite winner in the lineup. Also make sure to check out the daily roll specials as well.

Other highlights are the lineup of soju(grapefruit and green apple are amazing) and the ice tea that they make on the spot. Additionally, they have a cooler full of mochi ice cream and other asian dessert treats to finish off the meal.

If you ask anyone in our family where they want to go to celebrate something or splurge on a great meal, Sook House is the answer almost every time.

I've eaten here twice, and both times the food has been AMAZING. Sushi is wonderful, as was everything else. Very good prices for sushi, too!
