My daughter and I have been happily indulging our sweet tooth at this treasure spot since we moved here! We’ve tried several of the scrumptious confections- and regularly select from the tasty scones, cookies and croissants. Our joyful experience is enhanced by the staff’s good cheer and enthusiasm. Nick, in particular, can be counted on to offer good conversation, laughter and exuberance with his well made latte! We always look forward to our weekly visit.

I’m obsessed with their baked goods (my favorite are the chocolate crinkles and tres leches cups) and their unsweetened raspberry iced tea. My husband is obsessed with their burger, and Frida is obsessed with everything! 🐾🐼♥

We usually bring Frida with us, so if there’s room outside, we’ll stay to eat. If not, we either go to the park or take our food home. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. Thank you!

Looked up a brunch spot, found this spot on google maps. Told my wife about it and went for brunch. We ordered the Breakfast B.L.T, Egg Avocado Wrap, Chocolate chip scorn, pumpkin pie slice and to drink it was a coffee cappuccino and the iced honey vanilla latte, everything was scrumptious and very filling. The restaurant had so much to offer such as bakery goods, ice cream parlor, coffee shop, breakfast and lunch platters, the dine in area was spacious and very clean. Customer service was super nice and very accommodating. Definitely would recommend to people near by and people who are willing to travel.

-Best lobster rolls on the island/NYS - both in quantity and quality.
-bright spot with big windows, reasonable space in their seating area. Quirky and quaint. They have their own candy bar, make their own fudge and have a little kids area.
-If you're in town this is a great place visit explore.👍

I was so hungry I could eat a whale, but settled for 2 shrimp tacos instead that were so good! My wife had a grilled chicken sandwich that she enjoyed as well. The owner, Doris is very friendly and does all the baking for the bakery.

You can tell right away from the moment that you step inside that the owners put their heart and soul into this amazing place. The atmosphere and décor is warm, bright and inviting and the food is a perfect match. I had the shrimp tacos which were overflowing to the point I had to use a fork to rescue the droppings. The ingredients are fresh and made perfectly into every bite. My husband and I also got raspberry tea and cherry limeade which were refreshing to drink while admiring everything. You absolutely have to get some cookies to take home with you, unless you're like me and they didn't survive the car ride. I love this place and I can't wait till our next visit!

It”s my Home away from HOme. My happy place. I go everyday and although the food, drinks and baked goods are wonderful, the staff and Denise are like family!!!!! Monica

We really loved the place. Friendly, clean and excellent food. We ordered three different types of sandwiches and each was absolutely perfect. The room looks very cool with many fun decor pieces. The only thing that could be improved is accessibility of the plastic forks and napkins - I had to ask several times to get a fork, then a knife, then a napkin. Usually, guests can grab themselves but not in this place. It’s a small thing of course. We definitely come again to enjoy this place. Thanks to all the nice people who are working there.

Delicious food and great people. We had avocado toast and egg&avocado wrap. Soooo tasty. Forgot to mention, the best latte in the area. Love it

Fantastic place on main Street in Cold spring harbor. We went here before hiking on the Nassau-Suffolk trail, which is right nearby. Loved everything about the Gourmet Whaler including atmosphere, service, friendly staff, excellent food, and very reasonably priced. Don't miss this place!

Great food and great people. oh, my God, blueberry scones, and chai tea! Highly recommend

Lovely eatery in the heart of town. Denise is delightful and gets to know her customers. Homemade biscuits are out of this world. We ordered a selection of breakfast items and some bakery items to go along with coffees and all were delectable. We happened upon this little gem during a stop at a local festival but now will make it a point to return!

Go-to place for coffee and muffins, scones, croissants and lots of other breakfast(and lunch) choices. Food always delicious, coffee excellent but my buddies and I really appreciate the hard working baker(Denise) and counterman (Nico) and other staff. They make our morning so pleasant with their personal attention and friendliness. Can’t recommend Whaler enough!

Wonderful place for a brunch with friends on a fall afternoon. The food was delicious and came out quickly. The baked goods looked so fresh and delicious and they offered some pretty unique options, like pumpkin whoopie pies, homemade mallaomars, and a chocolate chip cookie pie. Seating inside and outside, bonus is the outdoor seating is dog friendly! Definitely will be back!

The acai bowls, peanut butter jelly bars, and ANY egg sandwich/wrap are MUSTS. Actually, don't eat the peanut butter jelly bars, they're all mine. :)

The Gourmet Whaler is an exlemplary staple to the Cold Spring Harbor community.

This spot checks every box from delicious food options, great coffee, warm ambiance, extraordinary cleanliness and a wonderful, welcoming staff.

I frequent here multiple times a week - it's a home base for me to enjoy time for myself as well as with my family and toddler. The vibe is right out of a storybook - a lovely, quintessential cafe which leaves you feeling just that. I highly recommend the Lavender Lemonade and Blueberry pie bars. You can't go wrong with any menu item.

This establishment is 10/10. Please do pay a visit to this local business if you're in the area - you won't regret it!

Best bakery and coffee shop in Cold Spring Harbor. Even if you do t live here , it’s worth the drive. The owner Denise makes your experience delightful !

I can’t believe this place is not full all morning… fantastic food,fantastic vibe…. Just come —- I live near by but just have not been here Crazy best place “Ev-a”……

This place has THE BEST salads!!!!! The grilled chicken is wonderful.
I was just there today and it was popping! So many people but the customer service was excellent.
I used to come here a while ago and they had an amazing salad with roasted tomatoes and capers and i was saddened to see it off the menu however the chicken ceasar salad did not disappoint it was amazing!!!!
