Brown Mackie College Findlay

Most professors are caring and do a great job at teaching. There is an entire year of general classes in which i refer to as "filler" classes. You simply show up, do your homework, and pass. It was similar to High School. The major classes of study were a lot more difficult and up to college standard. I found it difficult to learn an entire semesters worth of a subject in one month.

The classes are almost entirely self taught. Everything you are tested on is in your book. Some professors will simply read to you off of slides and some will actually teach you. It is a luck of the draw, you win some you lose some, type of situation.

If you have other options for college, i would keep this college in mid as a last resort. I would attend here before I attend Owens, but not before I attend an actual University. Most of your credits will not transfer to or from Brown Mackie because it is considered a private school. Once you attend here, if you don't finish then you have wasted your money.

If you are diligent and have great self dicipline this would be ideal for you. However, be prepared to move to a larger city once you receive your degree. Most areas in the findlay (and surrounding) area do not have a high turnover rate.

Enrolled for LPN classes then was told after it was too late to enroll and start by August at another college/university, that they are closing down and I would not be starting. How wonderful. Gave it one start because it would not let me post this without at least one.

Friend's sister was supposed to start her job there but they called and cancelled after she already put in notice and trained replacement at old job........ the day before she was to start.
