Looking for a church home with friendly fellowship, small groups to further spiritual teachings and education, and a dynamic pastor? Come try it out on Sundays at 10 am in Leesburg's highschool. Something for everyone from Senior bible study before church, a youth center committed to help children that need that connection with God, and a safe place after school, and that has many fun activities. Come early to church and grab a donut and a hot cup of coffee.

This is a wonderful church. They do an enormous amount for the local schools and community. The pastor is incredible, and the people are very welcoming and friendly.

Such a friendly church, with a genuine commitment to teaching the scriptures, growing disciples, and impacting the community with love. All ages and ethnicities are represented and welcomed here, from babies to seniors. There are lots of teens and young people, too! Church of the Lakes offers adult bible classes on Sundays plus small groups during the week as well as children's church and youth ministry. We started attending last fall and became members this month. Come visit and feel God's love for you!

My first visit. I loved the friendly membership and the message from the pastor. Can't wait to go back. I plan to visit the sunday school as well. I have been looking for a church family and I think I have found it. I was invited to visit by friends who are members and I feel blessed

I have attended the church several times. One of the things I like about Church of the Lakes is the spirit filled worship, consistency of Sunday service execution, authenticity and transparency of the Pastor. Easily understood vision and purpose for existence, operational transparency of church purpose through local and global missions, etc. The Church's purpose of spiritually developing youth through camps, programs and missions, etc.

One last positive comment is the Pastor's purpose of making himself available to meet for coffee, lunch or phone conference. When you can go online the Church's site and access his calendar and insert an available time and date, that epitomizes genuineness.

Wonderful caring church. Pastor Mike delivers a message that can be understood with some humor that makes everyone smile. He also makes sure that what God places on his heart is delivered whether it is popular or not - he follows the vision God gives him. It would be worth your while to come and experience the God-filled atmosphere at Church of the Lakes. I am glad my family and I did.

I was raised going to church. After taking a 6 year hiatus, I was looking for a new home church. And I found it here. The people are so welcoming, they care about you and your family. They treat me and my kids like we are family. The pastor has such an amazing heart. He has a heart to serve and give others. That is the vision of the whole church. The goal is to reach others and show them the love of Christ. If you are looking for a place to belong, this is where you will feel at home.

Initially looked this church up online, then ran into some people who go there. Everyone has been very welcoming and my husband and I especially enjoy the message each week. Pastor Mike is very real and brings the gospel into everyday life in a way that works! Come, join us!

Words can't describe how much my family and I truly felt at home when we walked into the church. The teaching of the Word is amazing and it's given by a amazing man of God who has a Vision of what God's True Love is. Worship is also one of things that has drawn us here, feeling the Power of the Holy Spirit is overwhelming and a true breath of fresh air. Come and visit us at Church of the Lakes you won't be disappointed.

This church is in one word "Amazing"! I been to a lot of churches in my life trying to find one place I can call home. This was it. I soon found out that this church was being led by the person that told me who God was and I became a Christian. That man was Mike Matheny. He was my youth pastor at the time, we had become great friends then. Then we split apart life separated us, then God brought me back to him. He truly does work in mysterious ways. Now, I volunteer 2 days a week at our New Teen Center in Leesburg. You will not regret to come and check it out for yourself. Talk to pastor Mike.

Life is always going to be full of challenges- a lot of times even daily. If you want a safe place to be who God made you to be or maybe you are in midst of finding out your life's purpose, you will feel right at home here. Pastor Mike & his lovely wife, Jen, are genuine "real" people struggling with the same everyday issues like ourselves, yet their transparency communicates so much truth that is refreshing and encouraging. They really love God and have a heart & passion to disciple every person they meet. Our family is so grateful that we have found a place that we can worship God, embrace truth, find freedom, and grow alongside others. By the way, Life Steps is highly endorsed by our family- even our two teenagers. :)

We have finally found our church home!! My family actually looks forward to going to church on Sunday now! COTL is a real church with real people... not one of those put on a show fake a smile and praise God only on Sunday. Start off Beautiful Praise and worship followed by a real life word given through and amazing, down to earth Pastor who genuinely cares about people! There is no other place I would rather be on a Sunday!

Church of the Lakes is an awesome church! Beginning with the parking attendants, the greeters, ushers, worship / praise team and the pastor all share the love of Christ with everyone who attends worship service here. The word of God is spoken at this church using the Holy Bible as the infallible true word of God. It is a pleasure and a blessing to worship here with other people who love God and all people!

My husband and I have only been going to Chuch on the Lakes for a short time. But we look forward to hearing Pastor Mike’s message each week and putting what we have learned into practice.

This church is very much involved in the community. It's Spirit filled.

My family and I kept jumping from church to church looking for our place where we fit in and can flourish and have the holy spirit come into my heart and we found that at Church of the Lakes. Our pastor is amazing in so many ways from individual help to help through his preaching. The help we received to find our place was through a program called Life Steps which helps you get to know God and find your purpose so you can make a difference. I am so thankful for the church and what it stands for.

Church of the Lakes is an accepting church. Their members are extremely welcoming. The worship is modern and fun. Pastor Mike does a great job engaging you on and off the stage.
