Ellen's Café On 3RD

Neat lunch place! Like pulling into home and grabbing a sandwich. Homemade sides and Ellen, the owner, was our server. Personable and prompt. Casual and comfortable. They even have fried baloney sandwiches! I would recommend this place for a no-frills-good-food category, with a trip over to Venetian Gardens afterwards to walk it off. (.2 miles) Beautiful day there in downtown Leesburg. Delightful place!

Nice little place! Friendly staff, food was great. They did have a large party come in before we got there. We did have to wait but not to long. Great French fries nice and crsipy

Warm greeting. Very good chicken salad and side of beets! Prices are reasonable. Recommend this lovely side street cafe. I will be back.

What a nice place. We were greeted by a sweetheart hostess who happened to be Ellen herself. I ordered a chicken salad plate and friend ordered a chicken salad sandwich. Large portions!
Quaint surrounding, small but cozy rustic.

I love this little café!! it is a very sweet lunch spot with amazing, delicious, homemade soups and the chicken salad is the best I’ve ever had anywhere. The fish sandwich is generous and delicious and don’t miss the Jell-O salad. This little café nugget is tucked away on third Street in Leesburg and it’s definitely worth a visit. And once you experience the food and the friendly service, like me, you will want to return.

Wow! All my local friends have been telling me to get lunch at Ellen’s Cafe and I get so busy down at my end of Main Street I just now made it. I had to get a To Go and I got the chicken salad plate (photo included)! This is delicious and absolutely huge portion size. Highly suggest! My fiancé just called from over at his office, he got the same because we were in a hurry and he is also super happy. Eat at Ellen’s! Home cooking and delicious!

My wife and I have been here a few times. Food is always good. Nice little spot to just sit and enjoy lunch. Prices aren’t bad either for what you get.

Fun little lunch place with some of the best chicken salad I've ever had! Not fancy at all, just good food at reasonable prices. We always get a pound of the chicken salad itself to take home too.

Cute little cafe with fresh ingredients! I had the egg salad and my boyfriend had the tuna melt, both were made quickly and taste very fresh!

Great lunch today at Ellen's! I can highly recommend the pulled pork grilled cheese sandwich (I chose swiss on rye) and a large Arnold Palmer. Can't wait to go there again to try another of their great menu items.

So good! I placed an order for lunch and got the tuna melt with potato salad on the side and also a cup of their broccoli cheddar soup. OMG let me just tell you...I am so satisfied! The soup is seriously one of the best broccoli cheddar I've ever had! My to go box was completely filled between my giant sandwich and my large portion of potato salad. The potato salad was excellent and the sandwich was perfect! Cant wait to go back and try what else they have...especially their other soups!!

Ellen’s was delightful, very homey, and friendly. Amazing food when it came to our sandwich’s( I had a BLT). When seated our server asked where we had heard about them from, and we said google. I thought I’d just pass on the message to others like us coming from the Hospital near by, it was a nice break from the atmosphere. Overall, I would highly suggest stopping by.

Went to lunch with a friend of mine who owns his own special cup at the restaurant. A cup that turns from Blue to purple depending on whether ice is in it!

Right from the onset, the restaurant has a very casual and comforting appeal. It's quietly nestled on 3rd Street next to the antique store on Magnolia.

Cruising into the front door, we met Miss Ellen, the owner. She gave us a warm and hartefelt welcome!

After perusing the simple but tempting menu I decided to order chef salad. My friend ordered spinach chicken salad.

We were free to get our own drinks. So my friend filled his blue glass up so that he could see a completely purple vessel. I filed an ordinary red cup and proceeded to get Coca-Cola.

It was lunch time and the line ahead of us was tucked deep with customers We didn't have to wait long for our meal to show up.

Miss Ellen was hard at work in the kitchen! Our meals had a beautiful plate presense.

As I dug into my chef salad, prepared with very fresh ingredients, a taste-filled honey-mustard dressing and wonderfully prepared croutons, I did the "Eating Moan" as I call it. Each bite was a "taste" Journey.

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that is looking for a simple but fine dining experience!!
