Broward County Main Library

This place is fabulous. The books are organized there’s a huge play area there’s always parking. And the people are really nice. And it’s never crowded and you can check out up to 50 books. Will def go back.

Have been going here for decades. It's a great library. Friendly knowledgeable employees. Tens of thousands of books and other media. Their kids area is great.

Great library! I worked there for a few hours and it was very peaceful. There was a ton of space, comfy seating, and they had a few displays to peruse.

Wonderful! I just came from Spain and looking for a place to read and relax... And find this beautiful site! Very nice staff! Thank you! Nothing to envy the big libraries in Europe.

I considered always Libraries to be one of the most important sources not only for students but for general public. There is so much to do and so much to obtain from this library. They have I think one of the biggest variety in books and stationary that allows you to even conduct your business in a private space up on the 7th floor. Obviously couple of hours with printers available and tools that you definitely need it.
Staff members are very helpful and friendly.
Give it a try and why not bring back those amazing memories when you used to be in that stage of your life studying to become a better person.

The library was great nice and clean computer room staff was nice but there was a security guard who watched me lock my bike to a out of the way trash receptacle as there was no visible bike racks in the area.
He followed me to the front desk 2nd floor where I was applying for a library card berating me in front of several people saying he would cut my lock and throw my belongings in the trash. He could have easily asked me to move it in the first place

A state treasure. Fantastic library!!! Outside clean up it making progress due to prior lack of security and rampant homeless squatters. Sad efforts by local county and city governments to restore this facility to it's rightfull glory. Beautiful fountain still does not work. Parking fees are ridiculous!!!

It was great we took food and cookies down and fed the people.

A great place to buckle down and get a lot done

I noticed they offered free chair yoga at the Main Library during my lunch hour and decided to enroll.... awesome class...I was so relaxed that I nearly fell 😴

This is the biggest library l have ever been. Located in Downtown Ft. Lauderdale, it has eight floors. There are many computers to use, as well as places to charge your phone or laptop. They re-opened on November 16. I first went there on October 1, 2020 but they were closed due to civil. I went there again on December 1, 2020 two months later and they were open.

There are librarian floor walkers with radios on each floor. I was amazed that they have a high level of customer service on each floor. They helped me find all the call numbers I needed, directed me to which floors and sections I would need to go to, and searched intensively for the old government documents that they were even having a hard time finding... and the elevators were clean and fast too.

Best library. Great collection of books, movies, music, computer lab. Now it has expanded to included interactive mediums. The first floor has a Creation Station where you can design and print 3D models. 2nd floor has a Teen studio for graphic design, music production, film production and arts & crafts. The section for the young ones is under renovation and will include an interactive studio as well.

AMAZING library. I have been coming here for years and this location has such a vast variety of services it offers! Free classes on Microsoft office etc. Staff could be a bit friendlier at times but they’re still generally nice! They have the newest dvds available to rent as well as thousands of books. I’d definitely recommend checking this location out.

Broward County Libraries offer excellent services and study spaces. A great selection of books, CDs, DVDs, electronic media, virtual and online services (including tutoring and homework assistance) are available to patrons of all ages.
Library program and service hours have suffered greatly due to budget cutbacks, which is really unfortunate.

Incredible venue and staff has been unbelievably kind and knowledgeable. This is an 8 floor facility! A nerds paradise!

The culture of a population, of a city, or of a country, manifests itself through books, the media, and the people who circulate among city streets. But one of the main points that we can identify the quality of life of people, of a place, is a library.

Easy access to the library and computer room is separate from the books. Only downside no parking only public facilities $3 per hour

Amazing library. It is huge with several floors of books, cds, dvds, computers, computer programs, and artwork. It now has an amazing Creation Station though I have not gone since before its start.
