La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Ft. Lauderdale Airport

Whenever I travel I always stay at La Quinta hotels because it feels like home and my animals including service animals are always welcomed! And I have never received any extra charges for my pets.

Had a great solo stay. Nice facilities and just what you’d expect from an airport hotel. The bed and pillows were better than any chain hotel i’ve stayed at. Only issue (not a real issue) is that the elevator was soooo slow!

Older and a little dated. Never had a problem. We have stayed here every year that we have cruised out of Fort Lauderdale or Miami. Great continental breakfast. Good location to other restaurants and shopping.

Very nice and comfortable hotel near the airport and interstate. Check in was great the people are really nice and attentive. The hotel is kind of dated but the location makes up for it. The bathrooms have shutter style doors that don't lock and there's no exhaust fan. The first two mornings the waffle iron wasn't operational and the eggs tasted watery. You can't go wrong with the fruit, bagels and yogurt. There's a lot of ducks, lizard's and cranes on the lake behind. I didn't get a chance to take the shuttle to the airport but was informed of the schedule upon checking out. I also like the fact that the hotel is off of a pull off road that only serves the two hotels.

We stayed here for one night and it was great. The location of the hotel is very close to where I needed to go and before I arrived I thought it would be so busy but the hotel is located at a quiet street and it was easy to drive in and out. Service was great, check in was fast and helpful. Room is clean, bigger than normal and it was quiet too. The view was great despite the weather was nasty. Overall it was a great experience.

My experience at the La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Hotels near the Fort Lauderdale Airport was something that I can only describe as a purgatorial suspension of reality. I was supposed to have already flown back home that night, but my flight was delayed into oblivion and I decided to book a room instead of waiting around at the airport. The shuttle picked me up shortly after I called the front desk. The driver remained silent except for the moment that he yelled at a pedestrian who had dropped their jacked in the street. I felt like more of a character inside of that driver's life than I did a person living their own. I had entered into the jet stream of another person's routine and I existed as nothing more than a passenger until I was dropped off at the door of the hotel. The lobby was empty except for a family of four drinking Coca Cola's in silence. The skeleton of tomorrow's breakfast was on display behind the dining room tables. I received my key card from the front desk and took the elevator up to the third floor. It shuddered to a stop and the door remained closed for an unsettling amount of time as if it was considering keeping me inside of the car to further understand something about my presence. The door reluctantly slid open with a dry creaking and I entered into the hallway where I was greeted by television voices and the hum of the molecular transformations pulsating from inside of the ice machine. I followed the room numbers mounted to the walls until I found room three zero one. I waited before the door with the key card in my hand, hovering over the black electronic receiving slot. I had this sudden feeling that I was already there inside of the room, standing at the other side of the door. When I finally entered the room, I put all of my stuff down and sat in the chair behind the desk letting the room come into focus. I stared at the door to the hallway and could feel that at any moment I would see the shadow of two feet beneath the door. I would hear the sliding of the key card. I would see myself standing at the doorway. I looked at the phone on the desk in anticipation of the silence in the room being broken by a violent ringing. Instead, the room stood still, staring back at me. I turned on the air conditioner to drown out the silence. I could not escape the feeling that I was not supposed to be in room three zero one of the La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Hotels that night and the walls knew it. The wall mounted lamps knew it. The bed knew it. The television knew it. The towels knew it. The curtains knew it. The carpet moved beneath my feet. The bathroom mirror refused my reflection. The water that flowed from the shower meant to force me down the drain. The drain was a mouth with teeth that tried to swallow me. The sheets on the bed were the only feature of the room that had any sympathy for me. They comforted me with the quiet care of a hospice nurse. I slept fitfully to the sound of the air conditioning unit and woke up to the familiar sound of my alarm reminding me that I had an existence outside of that hotel room. I dressed and packed my bag in the darkness of the morning. The ice machine was silent in the hallway. The elevator no longer had any need for me. There was no family drinking Coca Cola in the dining room of the lobby. I exited the hotel into the dim orange light of a sunrise mostly hidden by condominiums. I breathed out as if emerging from water. I became just another passenger in the full life of another airport shuttle driver. As I pieced myself back together, slumped in the bowels of the concourse, I realized that a very small part of myself had remained back in room three zero one. It had taken something from me that it needed. What I perceived as the bitterness of a creature that has been violated by the presence of an outsider may have actually been the remorse of a creature that can't help but eat what it is hungry for. The predator that weeps before its prey.

I would like to shout out the amazing team working Monday and Tuesday December 10th and 11th 2023. WOW, these wonderful people went above and beyond ensuring our stay was comfortable and we really owe them for that. It was very late at night and we had an unexpected flight delay that would have been miserable without the help of your incredible staff that night/morning.

Our group had to find last minute accommodations near FLL after flight delays and found ourselves at La Quinta Inn. The service and kindness of the front desk staff, especially when we were frustrated and exhausted, was extremely appreciated. Special shout-out to the front desk managers the night of 12/10/23 and morning of 12/11/23, thanks so much for making our short stay comfortable!

On our Vacation, My family and I were super happy with the room, the customer service was amazing, the one of the shuttle drivers gave us advice on where to eat he was on top of everything making sure we got where we needed to.

Nice place to stay. Very quiet. Check it went fast. One glitch with the a/c but worker came and just needed to be reset. Room very clean. Plenty if towels.

We stayed here the night before our cruise. The beds are comfortable and the place is well maintained. I would stay here again.

Nice clean hotel. Clean large room. Tried calling service twice the first time they hung up, the second time they didn't answer.

Great location and clean room. Ideal for cruises, you can park your car and take the shuttle bus to the pier

This place was great! sure, it’s not so close to the beach, but it’s worth going! to anyone who wants to go here, you should! the rooms are okay, but it’s a bit small, but overall it’s amazing! the beds are very comfy and very clean! the service was okay, i wouldn’t say it was the best, but overall it’s good! and the location was amazing! the location wasn’t close to the beach, sure. but it was still a good place! and the pool has a great view of the river across it. so overall. a 5/5! recommend to visit!!

Maureen was a lifesaver!!! Not only did she help us with a room, she went above and beyond for us with whatever we needed. She was super understanding, helpful, and sweet! Will definitely stay at this hotel for future vacations! Hotel is not that great though, photos are kind of old and outdated. We did feel like we did get a bit catfished, but are delighted with their customer service!

The room was much larger then expected and the surroundings of the hotel had many things to keep us busy
