Venetian Gardens

Absolutely gorgeous park with great walking paths that are disabled friendly large enough for golf carts to travel & smooth. This is a dog friendly park however be aware there are alligators in the water. On our visit it was decorated for Christmas with a walk thru light display to music. Very well cared for park. You can fish from the bridges. It has a boat dock. Restaurants & lots of picnic areas.

I drove by so many times without realizing this beautiful place was here. The scenery is gorgeous, the playground is really cool and walking around by the water at sunset is breathtaking. Highly recommend a visit here.

Great time to visit and walk about! Lots of aquatic life and birds to see. Nesting osprey abound. Gators (small!)and turtles in ponds. Paths and bridges make walk about safe and easy for all.

What a lovely place to spend time in nature.
They have nice walk trails, loading docks, beach courts, shady trees, and plenty of benches and swinging seats that overlook Lake Harris. They also have pavilions and areas to grill :)

Very pretty well-kept park. Lots of areas to sit and picnic. Great place for walking. The only downfall is that the restroom is not easily accessible and they really need more as the place is so large.

Christmas lights going up and gators sunning themselves before it gets too cold. Beautiful park on the lake with plenty of free parking. Boat parade coming in December. Great times.

2023-11-01: This is a very nice park with several small bridges over the water. It was getting late, so I wasn't able to walk the entire park, but do plan on returning. There were a lot of Muscovy Ducks and Apple Snails around the park.

Beautiful park for walking. We love the added section with sidewalks that give more than a mile of walking. LOTS of bird varieties.

Beautiful place, nice views and very well taken care of. Definitely will return and probably bring my dogs

This is the last thing you would expect to see in this small town. These gardens are breathtaking. There's all beautiful little bridges that take you over to different sections of the property. There's benches scattered throughout to sit down and relax and enjoy the beautiful view of the lake. Great place to take a stroll around and enjoy the cool breezes. Sent under the huge trees and listen to the birds as they sing to you.
If you ever over in Leesburg I highly recommend that you stop and check it out.

A park to enjoy, both for birds and people. Well-maintained and clean.

It was very nice being able to walk around and see all the wildlife. I even got a video of an alligator swimming off. beautiful view. And the park was clean

What a great visit! I brought company who was visiting from upstate NY and we spotted a total of 10 gators! I've been in this area since 1978, and have never seen so many gators in one trip!! What a great walk!!

Nice park for walking, bird watching, fishing, or a picnic. Popular spot for dog walking, waste bags are available and people seem to use them. There is a boat ramp and a playground,, as well as restrooms. I go for the birds, purple gallinules are abundant, there's an osprey nest, wading birds of various kinds, and there are enough trees to attract various woodpeckers and songbirds.

Gorgeous paved walking trail with bridges throughout!🏃‍♀🐾 Great place to walk your dog, go for a run or bike. The path loops all the way around and meets up with the playground and splash pad on the other side. ⛲
🦆We saw a variety of birds on our walk around the trail. Lots of great climbing trees! 🌳

🎄December 5th at 5:00PM is "Leesburg's Christmas on the Water" where there will be entertainment and food vendors, "Light yo Venetian Gardens"at 6PM, and a boat parade at 6:30PM🎄

This is a great park for kids and has a $2 splash pad. Can’t beat it. Great fireworks on the Fourth of July and amazing lake show ! Food trucks and kids bouncy houses. Highly recommend this park.

It's so beautiful at Christmastime with all the pretty lights! It's a magnificent light display that goes along with very good music. Love it sooo much!! Also, it has really nice sidewalks which is great for wheelchairs!

We were in Leesburg to locate our dealership for service and wanted to make a day of it. Since the Venetian Gardens was listed as the #1 attraction in the city, we decided to spend time there. With a little imagination, you could imagine yourself in Venice Italy with its hundreds of bridges over the canals. I'm glad we decided to visit.

Located on the Lake Harris chain of lakes, the park is a top bass fishing destination. We parked near the restroom building (very clean) and first walked to Ski Beach which features sand volleyball courts, rentable pavilions, grills, boat ramps and boat dockage. Swings and benches dot the area for lovely views of Lake Harris.

The gardens are beautifully landscaped with several bridges leading from one island to the next - 7 in all and connected by flat, level walking trails bordering the lake. Some of the biggest water lilies we've seen fill the ponds. The area is a bird lover's paradise; many different kinds of waterfowl were 'tame' enough for us to get closeup pictures probably because of the number of people feeding them. There was a large congregation of white ibis gathered in the shade; some were taking a bath. We learned that the ibis often spends time in colonies of over 300 members. We saw two people feeding them. Signs warn against feeding and harassing alligators; we did not see any. No dogs are allowed.

If you want to spend quiet time among waterfowl, landscaped trails and lake views, Venetian Gardens/Ski Beach is the perfect choice.
