Transmission Doctor

The first time I went to transmission Doctor was when the dealer told me that I needed a new transmission…(I could be driving along, and all of a sudden the car would jerk and make a loud noise). The dealer wanted to charge a few thousand dollars for a New transmission but my husband wanted to get another opinion so we took it to transmission Doctor and in five minutes they told us what the problem was… I’m not sure of all the Components of the story, but it seems like a hose Was leaking and wetting the transmission box which in turn made the car jerk. They saved us a few thousand dollars… I went to them One or two other times for little things, and this time I went because my airbag light was on…Jessie the front desk person is amazing!!!! He located a part for me because my car is 16 years old and Mark the technician had it fixed in about an hour… Jessie is sweet and compassionate and informative and just a nice guy… Mark explained everything to me and has a lot of patience because I asked a lot of questions… It’s scary when a senior is on a fixed income and has a car repair… But I trust these guys and know that they wouldn’t hurt me financially, and that means a lot to me. Don’t think that they are just transmission mechanics… Go on their website… They do all types of work, and they are honest and clean, respectful and courteous!!!!! I recommend them to everyone I know!

My daughter broke down over 150 miles from home. She limped her car to a dealership. They wanted a huge price to fix the car. I researched transmission shops and found Transmission Doctor. They quoted me a price half the amount of the dealership and I accepted. When I called Jesse back to confirm the work, he told me no problem and that he would have the car towed from the dealership to his shop. They were honest and upfront from the very beginning. If I could, I'd give Transmission Doctor 10 stars without hesitation. When my 2016 911S needed PDK repair, I was informed by Porsche that replacement was the only option. However, the dedicated team at Transmission Doctor went above and beyond, tirelessly locating a brand-new part from a racing store in Chicago. Within just a few days, they had it installed and my vehicle up and running smoothly again. Not only did they provide exceptional service, but they also managed to save me 70% compared to the dealership. I am immensely grateful for their expertise and dedication. I had to replace a passenger window regulator motor and also a fuel pressure sensor on a 2018 Ford Mustang. I was pleased with the fact that high quality ford parts were used and that the prices for the fuel pressure sensor parts and labor seemed reasonable. Unfortunately, while the window motor part was reasonably priced, the labor cost for the window was shocking and alarming to me $626! I understand that it is an extensive, time consuming job involving taking the door apart and programming it as was explained to me when I called back with concern; but it still doesn’t sit right with me that it was that steep. That being said, everything else was perfect: I had dropped the car off without an appointment and the work was done with the car good to go in 48 hrs! The main guy I dealt with, Jesse was real cool and everyone I spoke to was very friendly. Overall, I feel like this is a very efficient, well run business. I do believe that they are honest and straightforward about the work actually needed on the car, and won’t try to sell anything unnecessary.

My car needed a regular service, oil change, tire rotation and filter replacement. They wasted no time taking my car in and treated it like it was one of their own. Great service, very professional and an overall superb experience. I recommend them to anyone who wants a reliable auto repair shop and peace of mind, which can be hard to find these days. Wish I had found them sooner.

My ac in my Chevy truck went out. I brought it to my local mechanic and they qouted me over 4k to replace the evaporator. I took it to the Transmission Doctor for a second opinion. While talking to Jessy he advised he would like to verify where the problem was. He advised the diagnosed iasue was very uncommon for my make and model. After bringing it to them for second opinion they confirmed it wasn't the evaporator, and it was the condenser. Needless to say they saved me a tone of cash, they were extremely professional, and I will be bring my vehicle to them for now on.

Upon having my 2004 Lexus LS430 for a couple of years, it started having mourning sickness as they call it. I advised to Jesse what my situation was and what I needed; he then advised me to bring it in the morning and we’ll have it sorted by the EOD. Around 2pm I got a call saying it was completed and ready for pick up. Very transparent and reliable company, always willing to help.

Larry at Transmission Doctor is incredible at what he does. A true gift to the industry. He's now rebuilt a few transmissions for me for some restoration projects I've worked on over the years. Everything has always been nothing less than perfection.

1st Transmission shop put in the AOD and the setting was never set correctly, or the transmission was shipped from a third-party defective. Bob offered to help with my issue even though he could have made more money taking another full-service repair project. In the end Bob put in the warranted transmission and truck is driving perfect.

Next time I will buy from Bob and use Bob to put in the transmission. This would have saved me thousands of dollars.

Great place. Friendly staff. Great communication. Jeep clutch was completely done. Mechanics at Transmission Doctor did a great job fixing and replacing my clutch as well as a leak from my rear main seal. Great work and attitude.

Jesse was awesome. My battery died and he was able to order a new one and have it added within an hour of me calling. Highly recommend.

I’m very particular about who I take my 72 Dodge Dart to. I’m always worried that whoever I take my car to will not return her the way I dropped her off. I’m always afraid that I’ll get my car back dirty inside and out and with scratches.I took my car here and they were amazing, very professional. They provided quality work and outstanding customer service. This is the third car that I have brought here and I’ve always been satisfied. I highly recommend them. Bob and Larry and the whole crew are awesome. They know how to treat people. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. Most professional and honest mechanics around. Larry and Thomas always give me an accurate estimate and take such good care of my vehicles. There aren’t many places around you can find such honestly, with a warm welcoming. I’m very comfortable dropping my car off and leaving my keys in their drop box.
