Riverview Park

I came here today to check out a new park with my friend along the way to the state park, and I found this quaint city park with a great view of the Mississippi River overlooking St. Charles, MO. I played catch and fetch with my dog, and he got to run around the upper part of the park off-leash. (I recommend not doing the off-leash with your dog if they are not trained for recalls). I sat at the bench overlooking the river for 30-40 minutes, enjoying the view and the weather perfect for the park. This park will be one of my go-to whenever I revisit Alton, IL.

One of my very favorite sunset spots. The perfect place to launch Chinese Lanterns also.

I LOVE this place, not good for birthdays but amazing sunset views, perfect for outdoor weddings and dog walking, it says it closes but it's a park so it doesn't really close, such a pretty view of the Mississippi river and cliffs and bluff

My son and daughter used the park and gazebo to make there wedding vows. A beautiful park, currently under construction but beautiful park, surroundings, and view of the Mississippi River!

I absolutely love going their and enjoying my lunch.

They've cleared some brush. It's more open, clean and very nice area. The view up and down the river is breathtaking. Nice place to walk your dog or wear out a child before bedtime.

One or favorite places to walk the dogs. The park has a sweeping view of the Mississippi River and is also surrounded by a charming neighborhood filled with examples of different architectural periods. There are grand homes next to charming cottages, and even a few 1960s style brick ranch houses. The restrooms were locked (early March); I don't know when they are opened.

Nice park. It overlooks the river. You can see alot. The bridge and river traffic. It's very peaceful. It was busy there today because of the flooding. Most of the time there's no one there. Great for sunsets.

Great spot for a great view!

Want to view the Mississippi river from an Eagle's view point. This is the place, while still keeping your feet on the ground. A very romantic place to watch a Sundown 💕💕

Beautiful view and park. I love to come here it's so peaceful. I've said for the past 9 years this is where we (my man and i) will get married. We absolutely love this park.
