Residence Inn by Marriott Daytona Beach Oceanfront

Cool spot right on the ocean, with the edge of water a 100 yards or so away. Staff was cordial, the breakfast was an ample day starter with good choices. Rooms are dated, but spacious. The one bedroom was larger than my first apartments with full kitchen and refrigerator with an ice maker. While we did not eat in, there was a spacious dining room table. Had dinner right across the street at Millies’s, delish! That said, if you rent here just go in with reasonable expectations, I mean it’s a Residence Inn, and it’s on the ocean where properties take a beating. The 15 dollar daily parking was no big deal, as I’ve paid as much as 50 at other properties, but expect it. Breakfast and happy hour will more than offset the parking fee!

The staff here are really make this place wonderful. Sandy, John, Shiela, and G were the regular staff during our stay and work diligently to make sure you're satisfied.
The rooms are a bit dated, but the 2 bedroom suite with the full kitchen provided plenty of space for our group, and the ability to cook plenty of meals.
The beds are SUPER comfortable.
Breakfast never disappointed.
Happy Hour is great. The food hits the spot.
A call to the front desk if extra towels, tp, etc., items are delivered almost as soon as you hang up the phone.
The location is out of the main spotlight of downtown, which is perfect for those wanting to be on the beach, but away from the crowds. Just a short drive down A1A and you're in the mix of it all.
Overall, if we were to come back to Daytona Beach, we would definitely come back here.

Accidently deleted pics but great location about 3 mile south of Daytona beach. Inviting lounge, decent size outdoor pool, large suite rooms w/ kitchen, close to grocery, restaurants and shopping area, excellent service - We got there very early (1100) was able to use the pool and actually gave us early check in at 1215! Location in 2nd floor rooms by south side will have large porch with table n chairs as higher floors will have smaller balcony. Access to 2nd floor sin deck can be accessed by exit at the end of 2nd fl which also has stairs to pool area. Beach is accessible by stairs in pool area. Parking is $15 a day but reasonable. Good breakfast included premade chse omelet and other typical full breakfast items. It was one of the best stays.

Every person I had interaction with was very nice!
My room was great. With two exceptions.
One, the carpet really needs to be shampooed. My socks were filthy after one night's stay.
Secondly, there is a 4" "kick-plate" (for lack of better words) at the base of the sliding glass door.
Which I tripped over EVERY single time I went out or came in from the balcony.
They had 2 signs on the door. One very large sign on white background, stating no smoking.
However, the sign warning to step over, was on a clear background on a clear window. Hard to see.
This was VERY dangerous.
I was on the 5th floor, so it wasn't like it was needed to prevent excess water from the storms coming into the room.
Other than that, it was very clean (carpet being the exception) comfy bed.

Love staying at the beachfront Marriott, Not only is being at the beach awesome, the employees are always professional, delightful, and very helpful. This trip, we had the honor of meeting the bartender Akos who was also professional, pleasant, and spot on with our drink choices. The appetizers were also delicious! Always a pleasure staying at the beachfront Residence Inn, Daytona Shores.

Stayed here with my family. We had a full kitchen, pullout sofa, jacuzzi tub, and a fantastic view in living room and master bedroom. Hotel was very quiet and clean. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Daytona again!

We stayed here a couple of nights in February before a cruise. The weather wasn't great, but everything at this hotel was. The staff, bartender, food, location, warm pool. Would definitely stay here again.

I love this place I will definitely be back. I came from another hotel which was so horrible and wasn't able to even check in here until about 8 PM they got me right into a room and the next day was able to move into a partial ocean view. The room was quite comfortable the service was awesome. They have breakfast every day and though I don't eat most breakfast foods they had a nice sample of fruit available as well as coffee everyday. The view from the balcony as well as the raised patio on the second floor was so beautiful. I spent my 66th birthday here And I look forward to spending more days here in the future.

We basically lived here for more than 2 months or so. Their service, food, and location is great. My husband was here for work, so we tried some airbnbs but didn’t really liked them. Our original reservation was 2-3 days since we didn’t know how it was going to go. Well, we loved it so much that we stayed here until my husband was done with work. Their staff were always welcoming and very friendly with our baby. Breakfast is delicious! My husband would go down specifically for their biscuits and gravy every morning. I hate saying, we both gained weight. 😂 Their manager, Marcello was very helpful when would extend the reservation. Lastly, I like the apartment set up, every time we would go out, coming back felt like home.

Quiet safe clean and nice location with magnificent Oceanview and beautiful beaches a few steps away. The rooms are clean and spacious and breakfast is decent quality. Highly recommended.

We had a great time. I called the day before check in to make a request and the customer service was excellent. Even though it doesn't have a balcony, the city view room has great views from every window. All of the front desk staff are friendly and helpful. The pool is clean. Thank you for our lovely stay by the beach!

I really liked the hotel, it is very clean, close to the sea, hot pool even in winter and an excellent breakfast. The attention was excellent

Loved that the hot tub was actually hot. The employees were friendly towards my kids instead of treating them like things to be tolerated.

Best complimentary breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. Rooms were clean and fully stocked.

Note of warning: it is a pet friendly hotel. There's no smell in the rooms,but if you have severe allergies the proximity may be enough to trigger symptoms.

The hotel is lovely, the breakfast is great. It was clean and very nice. I stayed here over the memorial day weekend. I forgot 2 gold necklaces. When I realized my mistake it was over a day later. I called and spoke to housekeeping who told me both my necklaces were turned in. I returned to the hotel the next day (a 2 1/2 hour drive) and sure enough they were there. One necklace was a family heirloom and the other a rather pricey necklace. I have stayed in many places through the years and I can honestly say this was a first! The honest folks that work there are applauded. I was humbled by their honesty. Thank you housekeeping for making my day. I recommend this hotel and I will be sure and stay there again.

Great location with oceanfront rooms. We upgraded to direct oceanfront and our room has two balconies and a separate bedroom from living & kitchen area. Great for our four day stay. We brought our bikes and rode up and down the beach at low tide, plus visited Ponce Preserve. Breakfast was great with lots of variety to pick from. Only complaints were the balconies need some attention, the rails were in need of powder coating and there was mold in several areas. The shower was awkward and wasted a ton of water by making you turn it on full blast, I like the option of using less water, they need to change those handles out. Our shower ceiling looked like there had been a leak above at some point and had been repaired, but could use a coat of paint to cover that up. For a Marriott property, there were some items that need addressing. Overall we had a great stay and will visit again for the beaches and the view.

We came here last year and the staff was nice and helpful! The room was also very clean and comfortable. This year, I didn't book in advance, but Ashley at the desk helped us get a beautiful room for a great price. Highly recommend this hotel. Cannot wait to come again.

Great location right on the beach. However, no beach access from the hotel itself. The rooms are very clean and seem to be new. They could actually be new based on the last hurricane season. Large rooms with kitchens and couches. I will go back and stay at this hotel again.

Friendly staff. Unit had nice modern kitchen and bathroom. Nice bedrooms, but carpet and living room upholstered furniture shabby, stained and frayed and faded like a cheap motel. Tiny balcony. (Room for two chairs) Breakfast spread wonderful! Pool and beach access were closed from hurricane damage, but walk to beach not far.

We only visited the bar but it was very clean, welcoming, the drinks were great and the bartender, Sheila, was phenomenal!
Update: We have stayed here, it's very nice! The view from our room was phenomenal! My only complaint was that the sheets smelled bleachy.
