Porto-Fino Restaurant

This is the restaurant you have spent years searching for - very clean, and walked in and was seated at 6:30 on Saturday night of Bike Week.
Linda, with some help from Jimmy & Victor, made us feel right at home. With COVID & the storms we haven't been back since 2020, but the warm bread, chicken Florentine soup, and the melt in your mouth veal made the world right. The only thing I could "grumble about" is they didn't have the spumoni, and they had run out of cheesecake! ( 1st World problems, folks!)
But then they made everything even better with a VERY REASONABLE check for one of the most delicious meals I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy!
I will be back at least once more before heading home.

Victor our waiter was amazing. The food was great and the dipping sauce was not from a can. You could see the spices in it. The only thing we had to ask for was red pepper flakes because we liked it spicy. The fresh bread was to die for. I would recommend to any Italian loving connoisseur.

We celebrated a friend's birthday here and all our food was delicious. We had delicious Chicken Marsala, Spghetti and Meatballs, Shrimp Scampi and Chef's Shrimp Scampi. All these were wonderful served with warm homemade bread. A coice if vegetable or pasta and a nice tossed salad or Italian Florentine Soup. What a nice evening, quiet atmosphere and wonderful service. We all agree this is the absolute best Italian food in the Daytona Beach area

We had the best dinner and the sweetest server! We ordered the pepperoni pizza and usually I’m not a big pizza fan but it was delicious and the cheese pull was so satisfying! The New York strip Med Rare was delicious! My daughter ordered the chicken Alfredo it was also 10/10. Salad with the house Italian dressing is a must try!

Delicious! So glad we got to experience this place and their specials. We had a large party. The wait staff was very accommodating. The food came out pretty quickly and the waitress continued to refill drinks promptly. Very Satisfied!

I was a little put off by some of the other reviews, but you don't have a restaurant stay around this long if you're bad, right? So, my sisters and I checked it out tonight, and I'm really upset that, after my almost 20 years in this area that I've never tried them!
Don't walk, but run straight there!! Everything is homemade every day. I had the lasagna. I always get lasagna. It's phenomenal! The house salad dressing is so authentic, if you think you'll get too much, which was my concern from the "Karen" reviews, just ask for it on the side. They're very accommodating. Don't get me started on the bread. If you're keto, use this as your cheat day. Their bread will make you cry and wonder why you ever gave up grains. Also, ask for Victor. He's amazing, personable, and sweet. Oh, I didn't take pics. I.Just.Ate.😉

Great little family run place. It is not often that I find a spot as good or better than The Hill in St Louis (STL Italian community). IMO the tiramisu was actually the best I have had. My wife found the grouper to be excellent and I was very happy with my baked ravioli. We will probably be hitting this place again while on our vacation.

Wonderful atmosphere, great service(with all staff),well timed meal prep, plated with care& color. Delish!!! Steak was cooked to perfection,tender and HOT. PERFECT

This place was a pleasant surprise and within walking distance from our hotel. We didn’t expect this place to be what it was. What we experienced was fine Italian dining for a great price. Everyone working there seemed to be Italian and the food was amazing. Very authentic! They served homemade bread, salad, or soup with our meal. I didn’t get pics of the meatballs or ziti that my youngest son ordered but his meal was just as good as ours in the pics below. It was good enough that I would visit it a second time while staying here.

We have had dinner at Porto-Fino for many years and returned tonight. We all had had pizza, which was delicious, as always. Our server had personality plus and has worked there for 45 years. We enjoyed the Sinatra background music and it added to the atmosphere. Such an enjoyable evening!

Visiting the area for New Years 2024, wanted something quiet and not a chain restaurant for dinner. As we waited for our food I joked that “this place is straight out of 1978” turns out the owners have had it for 45years, so I was correct. The decor is dated & some updates and repairs are needed. HOWEVER, this place rocks! Our server was not Italian, suspect Russian or something in that area, and he was a total jokester. The soup was a little salty & we did not care for that, but the home made dressing for the salad was great. The NY Strip was tender & flavorful. My gal got the zucchini parmesan, it was a 10 of 10 for sure! I do not even like veggies and I ate all her leftovers, started a bit of a fight new years morning.

If you are hung up on everything being perfect with the décor, and you are a StarBucks / Disney Karen or Kevin, stay away. If your looking for a place with character & personality that is not some stamped out overly polished chain restaurant owned by Vanguard, then this is the place for you for sure! Eat & Support Local, thank you to the family that has ran this place for 45 years!

Fabulous reception and service. Saundra my love and I stopped by for a late dinner. Delicious minestrone, salad, Fettuccine alfredo! Authentic Italian cuisine and atmosphere. Love it!

The service was great. Fast from order to table . I had the ravioli and it. Was great homemade. They were busy . But we were not neglected. Itis a great place to take the whole family.

A trip to Italian gastronomy, the spectacular lasagna and the Founder filet in seafood sauce a delight. you can close with a tiramisu, accompanied by a bottle of Italian wine Caposaldo

We don't usually post online, but we had to. Our last night in Daytona Beach and we drove around and found this restaurant. We are foodies and travel a lot! This was incredible!!! Very authentic from food to atmosphere. Linda was great and very attentive. Someone was always asking how we were. Great night and thank you to everyone. We will be back soon.

Was on tour and this hole in wall. Italian bistro was across the street so I tried it after returning from track.
What a gem of a old school Italian restaurant.
From the owner and staff was a welcoming 60s vibe dinner from the fresh bread to the homemade sauce. From the plastic table covering to the faded photos on the wall.

We came into town for a wedding and had a long drive. We have a toddler and he was acting his age. The staff was wonderful, a gentleman brought him some cucumbers to munch on (no dice haha), and then a slice of cheese cake (delicious, we of course taste tested), and then a box of crayons and a coloring book. They were so wonderful easing our minds when we were going to do a to-go order because our son was being disruptive, told us we were welcome and he was just having a good time.

Not only were they outstanding from a service perspective, but the food was so damn good. I would buy bottles of the house dressing if they had them to take home (they sent me home with three little cups of it and one is already gone-goes great with the bread). My mom said their Porto Fino pizza was the best she’s ever had, and my spaghetti was also delicious. The red peppers in the house salad were also a pleasant surprise. There was nothing left of my husband’s chicken parm.

If I could give this place 5,000 stars, I would. I’m sad we don’t live here so we can come more often.

Absolute 10/10 restaurant! Exceptional service, delicious food, great old style atmosphere. LOW PRICES for the quality! All staff had excellent customer service skills. Go here, without question!
