Holiday Inn Express & Suites Oceanfront Daytona Beach Shores, an IHG Hotel

I recently stayed for almost a week with a friend, extending our visit twice. This was not a vacation for us as I was helping a friend leave an abusive relationship, so we needed a safe and comfortable place to stay. I cannot express how perfect this hotel was for us. The members of the staff, from the front desk to the breakfast area, were all so warm and accommodating. Because we were there for awhile and extended our stay, I had interactions with Yosselin, Yeimmi, and Millie at the front desk. I don't know if it's the result of training by the management, or their own personalities, but they were both kind and efficient. The breakfast area staff members were also so helpful - Lisa, I believe, and a gentleman whose name I did not get but who kept everything clean and stocked.

The rooms (we were in several) were immaculate, the housekeeping staff were all helpful, and the location was amazing. I would love to stay there again for a vacation, particularly after the repairs on the pool (from the hurricane) are completed. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Had a great experience at the hotel. The view was beautiful, room and lobby was very clean and surprisingly not that expensive for a hotel on the beach with an ocean view. The only downside was the pool was gone and there is no walkway to the beach from the lobby other than that everything was perfect and would definitely return

It is a nice hotel they are working on the pool. We will stay again. Room was clean i would recommend if you are short to bring a small stool to get in the bed.

The hotel stay was a perfect 5/5. We truly enjoyed our family trip and was blown away by the great services, professional and friendly staff, and the overall room.

Pros:
+ Price: our hotel was literally on the beach and for two nights we paid ~$250
+ Location: literally right on the beach with a great view
+ Staff: Very professional and very friendly, seem like a mostly Jamaican crew and they were quite impressive. We asked for additional towels one day and they were on it
+ Services: They have a game room, and an activity room for kids. The gym was also decent.
+ Pool: Usually hotels take misleading pictures that show that there pool is large but in real life the pool is shrimpy, no there pool is super awesome and well maintained. Also had a giant chess and checkers board outside and my kids thought that was neat

Cons:
+ Breakfast was not free (although the breakfast was free for children so we really appreciated that)

If we ever come to Daytona again, will most def rebook this hotel :)

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Service is top notch, Room is well maintained. View is amazing - ocean side. Pool is under maintenance. Breakfast is good as well. Parking is adequate. Ocean access is through the next door park. Overall an outstanding establishment. Cheers 🍻

The lady who takes care of breakfast is a gem. She works so hard and it's always fantastic. We love her. Her young helper was sadly a down side. She doesnt seem to like her job and this is hospitality so thats the most important aspect. We stay here often. We love the place. The pool area is a hot mess and we feel that should be reflected in the rate. Again, can't say enough about the breakfast lady. She makes this place feel so welcoming. The construction vehicles parked outside took up many spaces which made it tricky in already crowded parking.

Check in was easy and the employee was helpful at finding our reward number. The breakfast in the morning was all hot and always fully stocked. The bed was very comfortable with an amazing view. The pool and hot tub were unfortunately ruined from the hurricane. Would stay again!

It was very enjoyable. We've stayed there before and we'll certainly stay again.

Absolutely fantastic service. The rooms all had incredible views of the ocean. And the front desk was SO helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we cannot wait to return!

Beautiful spot to visit/ vacation. Very nice area! Gorgeous ocean front view! Delicious free breakfast!

Didn't like that I had to pay a daily $10 parking fee and $20 for incidentals. This hotel can get pretty pricey, but the bed alone is worth it!

It's in South Daytona near Ponce Inlet. Excellent customer service and daily house keeping if needed. I definitely recommend!

This hotel was A+, we stayed 6 nights. The room was super clean, the veiw was amazing, the pool was great. Every person that worked there that we came in contact with were probably the friendliest hotel workers we ever seen so helpful and cheery. The breakfast was good and the server was so kind. Had to pay for parking but it was so worth it. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for an awesome week!

All rooms are facing the ocean, very good view! We could go onto the beach directly from the hotel. Staffs are nice especially breakfast staffs very friendly and will remind you when breakfast period’s almost over. Some racks in the bathroom were loosened. Overall it was a good stay.

I give this place a 5 star. Our stay was great, the people was nice an helpful. Our room was very nice and clean. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was good. They have a nice little gym an a nice pool. The rooms are ocean front which is nice. Only thing is wish they had a hot tub. So overall i give it a 5 stars, definitely will be staying again.

Driving on the beach with a rented Polaris ! what fun !

Close enough to Disneyland for a most of the day trip !

Cons:

One elevator was not in service for a while, so waits were long, especially when you had to wait for a second trip on the one elevator.

The pool could be a bit crowded, and it's a family hotel with one pool so splashy kids often.

Breakfast was a bit meager, but better than nothing.

Making our reservation was very easy and the price was so low. When we got to the hotel, the front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. In fact, all the staff was great! They even let us check in 45 min early! When we got up to the room it was absolutely immaculate! This is the first hotel where I actually used the bedding instead of stripping the bed down and going out & buying my own. Everything was pristine! Getting to the pool, the water was clean and refreshing. I slept very well last night! The free breakfast really hits the spot! I tried a little of everything was fresh and all of it tasted very good. The room came with a personal balcony that has the most beautiful view as the sun is rising in the morning. I am so happy that we stayed here! This is now our preferred hotel when we come to Daytona Beach!

We loved staying here. The room was spacious and clean and the view was perfect. Each room has the same Ocean front view with a completely private balcony. The hotel is close enough to the main pier to enjoy restaurants like Joe's Crab Shack but far away enough from all the crazy chaos of the tourist spots. The continental breakfast is tasty with lots of options and the staff was very friendly. This is now one of our favorite hotels and will definitely return.

Excellent. The hotel staff were very hospitable, the breakfast was great, the room was clean, beautiful view with easy beach and pool access. I really appreciate that they made doggy bags available for the breakfast. They have a business center in case you need to print anything too. What more could you want?

The staff is BEYOND fantastic!! They made our stay better than average. The beds are the softest I’ve ever slept in, the breakfast is huge with plenty of options, and we will absolutely be back again! Extra special thanks to Mr. Keith, Virginia, and Shea for being OUTSTANDING staff members. My family will not forget your kindness! (Extra bonus: the view from literally anywhere in the hotel is gorgeous!)
