CarSmart Automotive Repair Smithfield

Since I was relatively new to the Smithfield area, I looked around for a place that could service my car and saw that this place had good reviews. It is also only two blocks away from my house.

What I look for with a mechanic is a combination of honesty and competence. That is not Universal. I found it with these guys. They performed the minor repairs I needed to change my oil and did an emissions test quickly, without fuss and at an entirely reasonable price. They were also quite friendly, which is nice.

Great customer service! Went in for emissions and registration, came out with a fixed key fob that now actually keeps my key in it and a new cabin air filter that makes my once puny a/c run like a friggin champ. Really impressed with the ease of getting everything done there and Mike is a really great guy. I'm pretty impressed!

I had an appointment. They did the job quickly and did not attempt to add on anything I had not requested. The coupon saved me some money. The desk person was friendly and pleasant.

Helped with an emissions test and oil change. Helpful and did everything in a timely manner.

Great auto shop. Helpful with emissions and required paperwork.
Update: From four stars to FIVE! I have used this shop two more times and they are wonderful! They fit me in the same day both times. One was a very urgent brake matter and the other was an oil change. They are just great and I look forward to having them take good care of my family's vehicles in the future!

Friendly, quick service. Went out of his way at 4:46 to get my emission and registration taken care of! Needless to say it was well after closing and they made sure to finish up and get me taken care of. In to of that made an appointment the very next day to look at some mechanical issues...

Close to home. Staff is very clear on price and timeline for repairs. Great suggestions for needed maintenance that usually saves me more $$ in the long run. In an industry that limits confidence we have had a good experience every time we've had auto repair performed.

Fast, friendly, reliable service. The employees at this Smithfield location are very knowledgeable. They are extremely fair. I'm always hesitant to trust what a mechanic tells me. When I take my car here to get something done, they will let me know if something doesn't need to be replaced. They don't nickle and dime or cheat you like a lot of mechanic shops will.

This shop is great. I have no complaints at all. Now, I’m not a car guy and have no plans to be. These guys are fine with that and are very helpful in explaining to me what is happening when I need a repair done.

Everyone wants to be treated with respect and these guys do that. Fair pricing as well. Thanks CarSmart!

I have been to carsmart a couple times over the years and honestly was not super impressed. However, this time around was a whole different experience. The customer service right off the bat was much better. John was so friendly and amazing. We took my old Chevy in to get some parts replaced so it would pass emissions testing. He took the time to find good prices on parts and was very kind and patient explaining what needed to be done thoroughly and no beating around the bush on costs. I'm excited to go pick it up and will be doing business in the future with them.

Seriously best place I've been too! Being a 19 girl I've been to places that weren't so friendly treated me unfairly and tried to rip me off. I was recommend CarSmart by a friend and it's been great every time! The staff is friendly and explains everything to me and their prices are reasonable! I will continue to take my car here for oil changes or for anything it may need in the future! :)

Happy with the service I've had here this far. They require an appt for an oil change but there's less waiting because of that. Twice, I've called to schedule and they've told me they have an appt right now so drive on over. I was 15 min away both times but they still said to come.

I went in for emissions. They were very quick and efficient. The individual at the front desk was extremely polite. 10/10 will come here again.

We are very happy with the service we receive from CarSmart in Smithfield. My husbands older truck didn’t pass emissions. CarSmart recommended they perform a cleaning service (which was only $15!) and have it retested in a few days. The cleaning procedure did the trick and we were able to register our truck without a huge repair bill 😀

Thank you Car Smart for getting our vehicle in and back on the road in such a short period of time! They really went the extra mile to make sure we were back in business same day, it was even end of business day on a friday. They were also incredibly fare on price! Cheers!

Haven't had service in there but I went in thinking I had scheduled appointment. However, I was wrong, I called another shop. The attendant was kind, polite, and patient with me despite MY screw up.

Our check engine light came on after taking our car to Pep boys in Ogden. After much hassell with Pep boys over several months, we took it to CarSmart, and our car was fixed within a couple of hours! They were very fair and very friendly. Listened to my concerns, and didn't make me feel stupid or take advantage of the fact I don't know much about cars. I would definitely recommend!

I started taking my vehicles to CarSmart after getting hosed by another dishonest repair shop. CarSmart has always been very fair priced and great customer service. They have never recommended a repair that could wait for another year. Their is no question that I will always take my vehicles to CarSmart.

These guys are awesome! I'm always in a hurry or desperate for help & they always accommodate to what I need. I'm not a car person whatsoever so they always dumb it down for me so I get it haha. They're straight up bout what's goin on & will give you their opinions which helps me alot! These guys are badass, super nice & very easy on the eyes 😉
