I was trying to figure out if my wife was not getting her mail. Put in a complaint and the new manager called me. He was courteous and helpful.
I do not suggest talking to Dan though. He was a a hole to my wife.

To be blunt, this staff at the post office counter is unlike almost any other post office I've experienced. They are genuinely caring, attentive professionals. They are a part of our community and tend to provide service as if each person entering is one of their neighbors and friends. I have had several encounters in which they have truly gone above and beyond anything that could be expected of the postal service. I even hesitate to provide examples out of concern that someone much higher up would become upset as they set such a high standard.

Most post offices to which I've been are places where an indifferent attitude is presented, with an undertone of, "complain all you want. I can't be fired." Not so in Dahlonega. Even when people have been short with them, I have seen their counter staff respond with grace.

I am grateful for the example they present..

I DON'T write reviews, but felt compelled to write this one. I have had held onto a severe disdain with our United States Postal System.. After just one quick call to this particular office, and NO HOLDING and endless directory prompts, was delightfully surprised to get this information I needed along with a generous dose of southern hospitality, As well as instructions on "Who else to blame" :) Felt like I had a buddy on my side this time! Great service can make me overlook the few extra penny's.. This operator has made me re-think my position on our post office system... Well Done Sir!
