Hoka Hoka

My husband and I ate here while on vacation not much to look at from the outside but staff is very friendly and the food was very fresh and delicious. My husband had the Gone with the wind sushi to start then the shrimp red curry which he would recommend. My sushi was very fresh and then had the coconut fried chicken with broccoli which was very tasty. Highly recommend.

I love this place. The Miso soup is the best I have ever had and the bento box is the best deal in town. I also had the N.G.C.S.U Roll, it was also very very delicious.

Good food at a reasonable price. General Tso's chicken was nice and spicy.

Amazing food. Prices are a bit steep, but worth it. The restaurant itself is small but nice. It's attached to the Quality Inn and the only problem is backing out into the road when leaving so take care when doing so. All of the food I've tried has been exceptional. The fried rice has a slight smoky flavor to it which I just love. The brown sauce is flavorful and delicious. Beef is tender, not fatty. Veggies have a nice crunch to them and aren't overcooked. Owners are nice. I currently live about 20 miles away and am willing to travel back to Dahlonega just for this place. Highly recommended for good Chinese food.

I stopped by while staying at the Quality Inn next door. I was greeted with smiles and given excellent service. The egg drop soup and my sushi (Dragon Roll) were both delicious and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

First off the food is delicious, it's prepared really well and the taste is better than expected given some of the other reviews. We placed our order in person for take out and went to the 76 next door for refreshments, shortly after shutting the car off to wait for the rest of the quoted 20 minutes after we got back they brought the food out to the car for us! Amazing! Once we got home and settled in to eat we were surprised again, these portions are huge for the cost and did I mention it's delicious!? 10/10 will come back for more

I absolutely love this place and recommend it to anyone and everyone I have come in town. Such a caring and friendly staff that gets food out in a timely manner and is delicious.

***UPDATE***(3/27/2022) - This is a place I've been going to for years, and I will always continue to support this business and these friendly people. I can't tell you how many times my wife and I have been so excited to order sushi, and we literally think of no other restaurant than Hoka Hoka! 😌 If you ever want to be impressed by a sushi roll, order the "Gone With The Wind" roll! 👌

I placed a call in order for a ranger roll and some wonton soup. The sushi was some of the best I’ve ever had. It was ready when I arrived and when I tried it, it physically made me happy. I’m so glad I discovered this place and I’m so happy it’s in dahlonega. I will definitely be coming back

I love love their sushi!! And their sweet and sour chicken is great! They don't over crowd you when you're looking at the menu like other places do and the server is always right on top of getting your drinks. She's very kind.

They have a larger menu with great prices. There is never a disappointment with the amount or size of food! They are quick with great service, and quick to get your order in and on your table in no time! The taste is amazing,no matter what you order. Love this place!

So so good every time I go. I can’t figure out why there are so few folks in there. I’d even go so far as to say that the Singapore Rice Noodles are the best meal in town.

A quirky little restaurant with good sushi, and also some weird sushi that's fun to try.

They also have normal Americanized Chinese food you'd see at any Chinese restaurant.

Then there's some other weird things on the menu too. A very eclectic menu and kind of an odd dining area, but good nonetheless.

Again, this place is quirky, but worth your time.

A hole in the wall, doesn't look like much but food is great, service is phenomenal and priced Right. We ordered sushi and garlic chicken and edamame, the sushi massive, the garlic chicken was delicious! The tables were very clean not sticky spots on them.

I would say this is definitely the go-to asian restaurant in town. Everything tastes amazing, the staff is very nice and the portions are generous. The selection is very authentic and absolutely tastes delicious! I've had my fair share of asian restaurants and cuisine but I would definitely say this is the best one.

My daughter loves the wonton soup. I always get the California rolls and Philly rolls. Sushi always made to order and delicious. Waitresses have always been very pleasant and attentive. Prices are very reasonable for the portions.

My favorite place to eat in town. The staff is always so friendly, and helpful. I like to get the Bento box. For the price it really is a deal with how much food you get. They have a wide selection of meals and sushi.

Food was great. The Christian music was even better-Will come back because of these two!

I've been to plenty if Japanese places in many cities and this place is a GEM. Was visiting the area and found their name on the Dahlonega visitor's Guide. Checked their menu online and saw the 50% off sushi from 3pm to 5pm, decided to give it a shot for the price. We ended up ordering bento box, sushi, crab Rangoon and calamari. Everything was delicious, the sauces, the nice sticky rice in the rolls, delicious! The rolls that are part of happy hour are like 18 different ones ranging from California to shrimp tempura. Only complaint was that the calamari was a small portion but the price was pretty low so I get it. Wiplease definitely recommend and return.

My family and I adore hoka hoka! The bagel roll is the best!! The service is great! The only downside is that we can't go often because they are pretty expensive. They serve you a lot of food though so we all typically share plates and that helps with justifying the prices!

As ALWAYS the food was amazing! Great prices, the service is stunning, and the atmosphere is so warm you can almost convince yourself that you're home. The value for the money you pay is incredible and you won't find more attentive service in Dahlonega
