George Washington/Mt Lebanon Cemeteries

Back in September 2023 one day after my mother passed I went to George Washington cemetery without an appointment not that I knew I needed one before coming to see them. But even without an appointment Mr. Cris assisted me with my Mother’s burial from the space, ceremony, and her stone. All I can say is Mr. Cris helped me from the time I met him till the day of the burial. he took care everything for me.I didn’t do anything but just show up the day that my mom was lay down to rest. I was extremely satisfied with him and his service.he’s very professional. he explained everything to me in full detail.
I personally would recommend anyone to see him cause if I would ever need to visit them again or either one of my children for me in the future I would like them to ask for him first. Mr. Cris G really met my expectations.thank so much Cris 🙏♥

Went above & beyond to provide support when family could not attend service. Kind, courteous and prompt response, made the process a bit less stressful during a difficult period.

The employees at the George Washington cemetery at Adelphi were extremely professional and at the same time empathetic with our loss. They operated on time and gave my family the space we needed to bury our sister with dignity. The whole process from start to finish was supportive not withstanding our loss. All I can say is thank you.

Service, cemetery appearance, location were all wonderful. The staff (especially Diana) were kind and always available if you have questions or concerns. I had a very disappointing experience at another cemetery, so when I stopped by George Washington/Mt. Lebanon, they were so kind, understood that losing a loved one is hard enough, so they made sure the arrangements process is simple and streamlined. I highly recommend this cemetery.

We were impressed with the service we experienced. Carol and Cris were excellent, very helpful and efficient. They were able to help us during this difficult time to make at least the burial experience worry free. We needed the burial to take place less then 24 hours from time of passing, and we were so grateful that Carol and Cris both helped us with everything we needed to have one less thing to trouble us. I have dealt with George Washington Cemetery twice. In 2015 and recently in 2021. Both experiences were impeccable. I have only ever worked with Cris and he has always gone out of his way to make the process easier on the loved ones who’ve lost. He made sure everything was set and coordinated. No one is ever prepared to say farewell to loved ones, let alone be meeting with representatives to arrange it. Cris has been empathetic and kind throughout the way. Truly thankful to have dealt with someone who goes above and beyond.

A pleasant and efficient process! Having to bury a friend and coordinating with long distance family is never easy! But having Diana to work with through the entire process made things go smoothly for me and the family. Everything was executed professionally. Everyone was very kind and helpful. Since we all live out-of-state now, dealing with Carole on the phone was very easy. She answered all my questions and let me know what was going to happen at each step. When we buried my mother's urn everyone was very kind and respectful. My father and two brothers are buried there also. Whenever I used to visit their graves in the past, the cemetery and all the gravesites were very neat and well taken care of. Mr. Philip Simkin (manager) called me on the phone the following week to express his condolences and offer any assistance in the future. Once again, thank you to everyone who helped out, especially Carole.

Contacting Carole to assist with the burial of my mother was the best decision I could've made when it came to that. Her professionalism, knowledge, calm and compassionate demeanor made the process an easy and seamless one. It was such a weight lifted to know that this aspect of my mother's funeral process would be handled exactly how I envisioned it. Any questions I had, Carole was available to answer. She had recommendations and ideas for things I hadn't even thought of. I'm so grateful for her help and highly recommend her services.

Cris has been wonderful to work with. He really made this process go smoothly for my family and I. Having to bury a spouse is never easy but having Chris guide us through the entire process made things so much easier for me and my family. We’ve had several family friends and relatives laid to rest here. Have always found the grounds to be serene and peaceful. And now, we’ve buried my father here. The staff handled everything smoothly and with great friendliness. It was very much appreciated - especially during such a tough time. Overall, our family was very pleased with how we were treated.

Now just find a way to keep the geese away :)

Update: the marble slab that was placed at my dad’s site was really nicely done. Communication and service with the office at GW Cemetery was excellent.

Cris Granados was excellent and compassionate and very helpful. In the last moment he made everything possible and made us feel very comfortable and supported. He made the funeral site very beautiful in a very short period of time. We were very thankful and grateful for all the help he provided us. May God bless him as he continues to help the bereaved families.

As a Daughter attempting to make arrangements for our Mom , first time experiencing with losing someone and OUR MOTHER , We could not have asked for better service😊🙏🙏🙏. My cousin referred me to Chris . He told me you should look into George Washington/MT cemetery and ask for Chris, he said they're affordable price and they work with you ,that he had attended several friend's relatives burials. I called Chris and he answered we scheduled a day to sit down and discuss everything, he worked with us throughout the process of what could be an excruciating time. However, Chris is super cool, chilled guy was compassionate, informative, personable and helpful.I
also liked the fact he is bilingual and for my Dad who barely speaks English lol 😁 he was able to explain to him as well everything and go through all the paperwork and discuss the different packages also he told us about getting more space he had for up to 5 plots next to each other so we got 3 more for our Dad myself and my Sister something I think it's very special❤ and for the burial he was there very attentive with everything and us as well even though it was a difficult time to think of words to thank some one ,and also the church that my Dad goes to as well have had several burials there as well he also knows the pastor Vincent Hernandez. So we highly recommend this cemetery George Washington/MT Lebanon cemetery to anyone they couldn't have done more then what they did. Chris was extremely helpful and professional.

This is my second experience with George Washington Cemetery. The last being in 1992 and the most recent in 2021. Each experience has been excellent. My recent experience included a pre-funeral visit to confirm the plot location and direction, filing of paperwork, and understanding the burial process. This was followed by the actual burial day when the process was completed smoothly without any delays. All of this was conducted by Ms. Carole Marzouka, who was gentle in her communications and oversaw each step of the process until completion. We appreciated her expertise and communication skills during our difficult time.

We buried our father at the George Washington Cemetery after he passed. Cris Granados assisted us every step of the way, from coordinating the burial to helping us order the headstone that fit our budget. Cris was very helpful and also very knowledgeable.
