Steeplechase Grille & Tavern

Food and service was great. Had just enough time to enjoy the salad bar before my entree arrived. One of the best salad bars in town in my opinion. I didn’t order it this time but the fried cheese cake is the best to finish up your meal there. Will definitely be coming back!!!

I was pleasantly surprised, reviews had been mixed, didn't know what to expect. They do have a sign that let's you know that they are understaffed and to please be patient. But the food was great. I ordered the sushimi platter. It was so good and really reasonable. Double the amount of Ahi Tuna that I get at other restaurants with pickled ginger and wasabi. Also garlic green beans and salad bar. Will go again and again.

The food is always exceptional, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Their specials offer a great variety of options that change daily. I highly recommend the pork medallions as well as the steak medallions. They also have one of the best stocked bars in the area and the bar staff are second to none!

I ordered the petite sirloin, and it was great!! Medium rare to the edges. You have a great chef!!
A word of caution to your waitstaff. They should never ask a patron if they want change when given payment. A tip is governed by how well they attend to their customers.

This review is an old one since I visited this restaurant while traveling back in November of 2006. We arrived just at the start of their dinner hours so we were the first seated for that evening. My party enjoyed our experience there very much. We found the food to be very good and the service was good as well on our visit. We enjoyed our salad bar and the rest of our meals. We enjoyed it enough that we intend to stop there again when we are able to one day find ourselves passing through the area once again.

1st time eating here! From the area & heard it was good. Glad we finally checked it out. Had a bigger group & our server was great!! Very accommodating! Lots of different options on the menu & all of our food was wonderful! I got the Ribeye & it was great! The salad bar was also really good as well! I will be going back for sure!!

Came here with a small group for lunch and we were all happy with our menu choices. I had the chicken salad panini with salad bar and fries. Very good! My husband had the chop steak and fries and he said it was good and he would definitely order it again.

I've lived in Toombs county all my life ad this was my very first time eating here. My experience was great! The restaurant was very cozy and minimally decorated. The food was great and service was wonderful. Try the Havana chicken with a parakeet.

To be understaffed, I think the crew handled themselves really well. Service was great and the food was wonderful. The wait was just a little longer but under the circumstances, we understood.

Great Place To Eat....

I love steeplechase, the food has always been good, they have a great salad bar and their bread is the best. I haven't ever ordered anything I didn't like, their queso dip is especially good.
