Booked a room here last minute and they only had one room left. The room was a smoking room which did not work for us so we had to leave and go somewhere else. After explaining the situation the next day to the hotel manager, she properly addressed the situation by issuing a full refund for the situation. So I'm leaving 5-stars for customer service.

I recently stayed at the Americana Inn of Bethesda, and I couldn't be happier with my experience! From the moment I checked in, I was impressed with the warm and friendly service of the staff. They were attentive, accommodating, and made me feel right at home.

The location of the hotel is perfect, as it is situated in the heart of Bethesda with easy access to shops, restaurants, and local attractions. The convenience of being able to walk to nearby places made my stay even more enjoyable.

The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The bed was comfortable and provided a good night's sleep. The amenities provided in the room, including a mini-fridge and microwave, were convenient for my needs. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained, with ample towels and toiletries.

One of the highlights of my stay was the complimentary breakfast provided by the hotel. The breakfast spread was impressive, with a variety of options including fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, pastries, and hot items like eggs and sausages. It was a great way to start my day and saved me time and money on finding breakfast elsewhere.

The hotel also had a fitness center, which I took advantage of during my stay. It was well-equipped with modern machines and was kept clean and organized. It was a nice addition to my stay, allowing me to maintain my exercise routine while on the road.

The overall ambiance of the hotel was pleasant, with tasteful decor and a cozy atmosphere. The common areas were well-maintained and provided comfortable seating for relaxation or catching up on work. The hotel also had free Wi-Fi, which was fast and reliable throughout my stay.

Lastly, I must mention the exceptional customer service I received during my stay. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. They were always ready to assist with any requests I had, and their friendly and professional demeanor made my stay even more pleasant.

In conclusion, my experience at the Americana Inn of Bethesda was outstanding. The convenient location, comfortable room, excellent amenities, and exceptional service made my stay memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Bethesda area, and I look forward to staying here again in the future!

Seen all the negative reviews and was worried. Booking done by Marine Corp for our MCJROTC competition. Yeah hotel is older than most but we were treated very well. We had 32 cadets with us and 8 adults. They made sure the breakfast was ready promptly at 6am for us and kept it well stocked. Staff was good to us ...let us use conference room in evening when we bought food for the cadets. Towels clean and bed was comfortable. No complaints here. If your picky about little stuff go somewhere else. If your interested in a safe stay and don't mind a hotel with wear..stay here.
Thank you to all the staff and management.

Customer service was amazing! The staff was friendly and very helpful, i got canceled on last minute by the hotel next door and one of the ladies in the front gave me a room last minute and within 10 minutes I got in, even though they weren’t my first choice the stay ended up being way better. Will definitely recommend this hotel

I stayed here for quite some time (about 3 weeks) while we were in the process of moving. It's in a great location and the staff is friendly. The wifi is a bit tricky, but you can ask the hotel staff to help you and they will. I was very concerned about parking reading the reviews, but it wasn't bad at all especially since it was absolutely free, which is unheard of in Bethesda. The room itself was nice and clean, which is all that I really ask for. It's nothing special, but it's all I needed. It also had a fridge which was especially helpful for an extended stay. They even had a microwave down the hall if you needed it. On the outside it reminds me of an old inn, but honestly, it's a really nice place especially given the price for a downtown Bethesda hotel. Thank you everyone for making it easy during the transition.

I loved it. I stayed for one night, checked in very late and checked out later than 12noon as I overslept (the staff very kindly let me sleep in and let me leave later than 12noon). The room was very restful and very, very comfortable. The bed was a bit too soft, though, and the pillows not firm at all -- one of the few negatives. The TV was small but had a lot of channels. The shower was wonderful and seemed built for a shorter sized person like me so I could easily turn the knob to adjust the flow instead of having to strain to reach up. I didn't do the breakfast as I was sleeping but I heard it was great. The service was wonderful and the staff kind and helpful and very polite. The only minus is the parking situation as there aren't enough spaces for the guest. Thankfully, someone had just left before I arrived, so I was able to park in the hotel. But I feel that it would be a good idea for the hotel to give their guests a parking validation sticker so they can park for free even on weekdays in the public garage nearby. Anyway, all said and done, I recommend this hotel highly, and will stay here again... wonderful little hotel where the staff gives you personal attention and makes sure you are secure and safe at night.

Good location. 0.5 mile or 10 minutes from Bethesda metro station. Many nice restaurants nearby. Room is small but clean. Free breakfast with reasonable variety. Staff are nice and helpful. I got around $125 per night, and felt it worth the money. In that area it is probably the greatest value.

The noise of air conditioner is a little loud, but still tolerable.

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It’s good value for money. The location is great, close to pretty much everything! Service was spot on and the breakfast was pretty good! I forgot the name of the manager but the lady was so professional, she walked around each table while we had breakfast and asked if we had any inconvenience! Will surely go back again.

Patricia front desk and Virginia on the phone were very helpful. It's an older establishment so it may not be perfect but I feel like for what you're paying for what do you really expect? It's not the roots Carlton so humble yourselves. But I would definitely go there again. The breakfast was okay nothing special. But I enjoy talking to Patricia I feel like sometimes these connections we make with people are priceless and it helps our stay. So rather than complaining about what's around you get to know people around you and have fun.

The staff was very nice, and the room was clean (old furniture and bathroom fixtures, but still clean). The only pain was the parking, because they have limited spots available, but the offsite parking isn't that far away and if you got there at a reasonable time of day (instead of 11pm as I did) you would probably be fine to park on site.

Excellent value, quiet and clean. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Free Internet Access, free parking. Location is excellent. Walking distance to Harris Teeter, CVS and many restaurants. Max and Erma's across the street and Guapos Mexican restaurant right on site.

This hotel is a much better value than the Hilton next door. Free parking ($20 at the Hilton) breakfast, free coffee, cookies come included. Nice rooms. And I always look forward to a friendly welcome from Nita at the front desk.

The best part of this hotel is the fact that it is budget friendly, and that the price includes breakfast. The only downside is the fact that it is right in the middle of the 2 nearest metro stations (Medical Center and Bethesda stations), both of which are ~15 minutes walking distance, which is somewhat inconvenient. The breakfast is why I am staying here instead of an Airbnb, which would've cost me about the same price (maybe even more) if I demanded the same level of privacy + proximity to the NIH clinical center. There are minor issues with the obviously worn down infrastructure (broken front entrance door, faucets that feel as if they could easily come off etc.), but all the amenities one would expect from a hotel exist. I prefer this over shiny&expensive, so I am happy.

Clean, professional and friendly. Very nice staff. Close to good restaurants and grocery. Parking is a bit limited within the premises but they give free parking in an adjacent open air public parking lot.

The American Inn of Bethesda is a nice, well attended hotel in Bethesda. I have stayed for five different nights across two trips as of now and have experienced clean rooms, well cared for contentinental breakfasts, prompt service, and an especially convenient location for dining. I would recommend it if you have the opportunity.

Very friendly staff in an older hotel which is only a half mile from NIH and Walter Reed hospitals. Welcoming and accommodating with somewhat limited parking, although a city parking ramp is nearby. Full bar and menu TexMex restaurant (Guapo's) is attached or exit the rear entrance to Woodmint Ave to over 30 others within walking distance. The Bethesda Circulator is also accessible from the rear exit on Woodmont with runs every 15 minutes from route locations. Access to the train station to downtown Wahington DC, up the street on 355 is a bit of a hike, or take the Circulator, or the front desk can arrange transportation for you. I stayed for 6 weeks and would stay again.
