There is a calming friendly atmosphere here.

The flavored coffee options are wonderful and full of flavor but not overpowering or overly sweet. You also get a wonderful finish to each cup with a rich espresso flavor that is almost chocolaty.

The breakfast sandwhich options are all wonderful. Especially if you request the bacon to be softly cooked and a tomato. Very fresh and they have spongy wonderfully peppered egg.

The pastry fare Carrie’s from item to item but all of the croissants are fantastic coffee partners. The opera cakes and tarimasu are also wonderful if your looking for something with a rich creamy flavor.

Wonderful coffee shop.

I stumbled upon this coffee shop, and I couldn't believe I had never gone there before.
Cappuccino was just perfect.
They didn't have a flat white, but Cappuccino is close enough, and it was very good.
Just perfect balance of coffee and milk.
Normally, Cappuccino is a week for me, and I must ask for 2 shots of espresso, but at Lavende Patisserie, it was prepared just perfectly.
Lavender latte was very aromatic and satisfying.
Almond croissants were worth the fight.
We all wanted a piece, so my poor daughter ended up with a small bite since we ate her food :( .
It was a very good pastry, warm and crispy with very mushy inside just falling apart from
We also tried mango-passion fruit dessert.
It was light and just enough sweet. Just like in Europe. Cream was fluffy and tasted like they made it. Did they?
Did not taste like a pre-made package food.
I enjoy the dessert very much.
We also had macaroons to go and maruenge.
Macaroons were ok, but maruenge just perfect!
Again, another family fight for the last piece!
I can't wait to go back and try they avocado toast.
Stay tuned.

This place sells the perfect Asian-inspired French desserts with unique flavors, and thanks to a Google search, we found this place!

Absolutely wonderful every time. The staff is great and the food is wonderful. I asked a gentleman for his recommendation (he looked like a regular) and he pointed at the butter croissants and said "the best in the city" so if that helps you along to check this place out I think you'll be absolutely satisfied.

There also are a few street parking spots now next to the curb (I believe 3)

The place opens a bit later then other similar places, but if you have the time to go when it does open, I highly recommend it. From classic croissants and their tasty varients to their french apple turnovers, Lavande has an amazing selection plus the patience to hear me pronounce each of them wrong.

Lovely little patisserie with casual cafe and very fancy, authentic French pastries. Also serves breakfast, lunch, and coffee drinks. We tried five pastries, our favorites were the violet blueberry lavender cake and the raspberry pistachio croissant, heated. Parking in nearby garage, indoor and patio seating, walking distance from downtown Rockville. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming again!

My only critique is that they use what looks like a home toaster oven instead of an industrial convection oven and it takes forever and doesn't heat up the pastries enough. I had one of their croissants at another cafe that sells them and they heated up a stuffed croissant a lot and the center was gooey and delicious. Here it isn't quite as good because it's barely heated. The next time I came I asked for it to be extra heated until the center was super runny, and again it took a while and was barely warm. You could take them home and heat them up, but I want to eat them there.

I ordered breakfast catering for a small baby sprinkle. It was so easy to order the package online and it was ready on time when I arrived to pick up. The value was excellent and good was delicious! The fruit bowl was all berries which was so nice because usually places will use fillers like honeydew, etc. The desserts looked great in the case and I was tempted to add on, but I didn’t. Will have to next time! Overall, definitely recommend for catering, 10/10.

Great place to hang out with some friends, study, read a book, or enjoy some quiet time. The atmosphere is very casual and relaxing and the drinks are well made. Had the Strawberry Lavender Macchiato and that was amazing.

A nice small cafe for working. Got the french toast for breakfast, and it was fluffy and delicious. Paired well with a mocha latte. They have other breakfast items as well. After a few hours of working, my friend and I bought a tiramisu cake and violet cheesecake. The tiramisu was great, but I personally wouldn't recommend the violet cake. It had a very strong lavender taste, which tasted odd for me. My friend got a almond croissant, and she said it had a good balance of crunch and softness.

This place is simply wonderful. I have probably been here 2-3/week over the last month writing my PhD thesis. The food is amazing, the lavender lattes are amazing, the tea is amazing, the sandwiches/toasts are amazing, the cakes are amazing, the French fries are amazing (writing a PhD requires a lot of snacks what can I say!). Also, everything you eat or drink here is just so darned beautifully presented. Check this place out! You won’t be sorry. Just don’t steal my writing table ;)

Only tip I can give is if you aren’t a fan of mustard flavors get the dressings on the side for their avocado toast dish. That has been the only thing I didn’t love here so far... but it was just because I don’t like mustard which is in the lemon dressing on the arugula! With the dressing on the side (which they happily did for me) the avocado toast was amazing :)!

Exceptional French desserts and coffee near Rockville Town Square. Literally can't go wrong with any dessert. Surprisingly, though, my favorite is the cinnamon roll. Even when it isn't fresh out of the oven, it is moist and full of flavor. Most cinnamon rolls I've tried are all bread. This one, however, doesn't skimp on the brown sugar and icing. Check out the pic! I can't wait until the pandemic is over; this will be my #1 remote work place. I like that the store front has a large glass window to the kitchen where you can observe the pastry chefs prepare your food and dessert. Friendly staff. Great rewards program. Pro tip: there is a small parking lot immediately beneath Lavande Patisserie.

First time here!! Great café. The food was well made. The desserts looked artfully made....beautiful! The customer service was awesome. The batista made sure I liked my drink and offered to replace it if I was not happy...I was happy so it was all good. I will definitely be going back!

lovely atmosphere of this cute little shop. great coffee, lots of fun options for drinks (i got my first lavender latte, great, not over-sweet with the rich espresso shining through and a floral aftertaste).
the croissants are AMAZING. soft, flakey, delicate. my mouth's watering now. i got the smoked salmon on the croissant: a good helping of salmon with well dressed greens and a dollop of cream cheese. my friend got the breakfast medley (AMAZING EGGS).

downsides: the service was just eh, i didnt recieve the canele until i reminded the staff later, but the rest of my food and drinks were fresh and quick. my canele was great for me, but may be too burnt for many. lovely texture and caramelized taste.

My mom and I have come here multiple times for these heavenly pastries. The almond croissants are PERFECTION...definitely one of my favorites! Only comment is that it’s a bit pricey.

Edit: Came back in September 2022 to try their pistachio raspberry croissant! It wasn’t warm so we warmed it up at home but taste-wise I LOVED the subtle pistachio flavor and the buttery croissant :)

I’m so happy to have discovered this little patisserie.

The coffee here has always been delicious, and every drink I’ve ordered has been totally satisfying. One of the current seasonal drinks, the raspberry rose latte, is especially delicious.

I’ve tried a few food items from here. The sandwich with aioli wasn’t to my taste, mostly because the texture was too soft for my liking. I tried the pistachio almond croissant which was a bit too sweet for my liking. I nearly gave up on food from here but in my next visit I tried the Medley Breakfast and it is now my favorite breakfast to get in all of Rockville. It comes with a butter croissant and a delicious fruit spread, eggs that are super tasty every time, some fresh fruit, and really yummy bacon. It’s the perfect size and mix of salty/sweet flavors. I crave this breakfast all the time!

Also, they add little dried lavender pieces to their plates. It really gives their dishes a signature look, and establishes their name’s importance to their shop.

Pictures are of the medley breakfast (partially eaten) and in the background of that picture is the blueberry peanut butter bowl my partner usually orders. The other picture is the matcha latte, and the raspberry rose latte.

Very petite and low key place to have a chill meal! Service is great, the atmosphere is really family friendly, and their avocado toast was so huge (but so good) I did not know how to approach it! Would definitely come back!

Absolutely love this cafe! It has a cute atmosphere, very sleek and modern. Not to mention the barista was super friendly (may have been the owner?) Recommended me the Lavender latte and made it look so pretty! The macaroons were the best macaroons I've ever had! I had no idea macaroons were supposed to be soft! If you get a chance to stop by you should! I'm excited to try the beautiful cakes next time!
