I appreciate the fact that Jim is very straight forward. He did not take advantage of the situation. He allowed us to do exactly as we wanted. He did a great job of explaining our options. He was very respectful, very helpful, and when the times comes, he is the first I will call.

I cannot express how grateful I am to Jim Carder. The loss of my Brother has been devastating, and I was so unsure of how the whole process would work. He answered all of my many questions with patience and professionalism. I will definitely be having future services here. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Very good and professional

I want to apologize to the Elliott-Gentry-Carder funeral home for the ignorance of one of my extended family members. I have already apologized to my children, wife, and hopefully my son heard also. I do not know who this person is calling “we” but it most certainly is not my family. Unfortunately I have been through several funerals of immediate family members so this was not new to me and Elliott- Gentry-Carder funeral home handled everything as well as could be expected for a very large funeral that demanded a lot of special tasks. We did not have to call someone to dig the grave because it was dug by one of my son’s coaches and a long- time family friend. The special order casket did show up a little late because the truck broke down coming in from St Louis but everything was handled to make sure that the family still had an appropriate viewing. The three full days was requested by the family. He supported us throughout this difficult time, honoring all of our wishes and above all honoring my son. There was no mention of a private funeral and he not only was fine with the choices of pall bearers he had some very good suggestions because, you see, this man was much closer and knew my son far better than this extended family member did. I’m not sure how this person knows what Jim Ed was wearing when we planned the funeral because she wasn’t there. He was wearing a t shirt and shorts I’m sure, because he knew Valerie and I would be comfortable with that. You see our boys have played ball together for many years and I’m sure this was a very tough funeral for Jim Ed also. Again I apologize for such garbage as this. My son had a big heart and a big smile and for someone to write such nonsense as was posted by this person is very dishonoring.

Didn't give my father-in-law a proper military send off.Forget to give out pamphlets with obituary in it.couldnt here the music.The owner was in shirt and jeans.
