Out showing property after church. We split the fajitas and chimichanga. I preferred the fajitas over the chimichangas. They didn’t have my fresh grilled jalapeños that make everything better. Chips and salsa were super! I could drink it. Hubby thought it was a little hot but I thought it was perfect. Nice atmosphere and decorating. Maybe leave more napkins at the table, I go through a few! Lol

I'm a native Texan and love Mexican food. This little business in Cabool, Missouri--not far off the Interstate--is well worth the exit.

Around since the early 70s, it serves truly authentic Mexican dishes. Best refried beans, rice (no throw aways with these) and homemade tortillas I've ever had!

Really a hidden gem in downtown Cabool. Excellent family run and loved, local restaurant. Fresh everything every time we visit. Stop in for great aps or regional fare.

Clean and friendly. I had the beef chimichanga with queso, and it was remarkable. Ate it so fast forgot to take a photo!

The carnitas tacos were fantastic, pico de gallo was perfect wash it down with a couple of Modelos, how could you go wrong. DO IT!!!

Cant review the atmosphere as ive only done take out for lunch but i from southern Arizona and just recently moved here and this is BY FAR the most authentic mexican food ive found here! Rumor has it they are closing for good soon and im really sorry to hear that 😔 the food and service have always been excellent and the prices are good too.

Stopped in after our trip at Branson. This was so unexpected. The cleanliness of the restaurant. The taste of the food. Portion size. The tortillas are fresh made and fell apart on your fork. Just a cute little hole in the wall place, but with pizazz. So glad we stopped!

We’ve driven through for 20+ years and never stopped for dinner in Cabool. Tonight we did and it won’t be our last time. I got enchiladas they were on point. My husband though got the Baja Quesadillas which were fire! He said he’ll be back again just for those. He highly recommends 10/10. I was a little jealous even though my enchiladas were really good! The house salsa and chips were very good. Salsa has a little heat and I really enjoyed it. Our servers were professional yet friendly. The food came fast and hot and we were back in the road in no time.

This has been one of my fav since I was a kid. I love the food and the gracious owner Mercedes. She put her heart in the retutaunt, and it shows. Put it on your list next time you're in Cabool

I had eaten here a few years ago, not particularly impressed or unimpressed. Stopped by again last night and had another meal with my wife. She ordered the 4 flauta meal and I had the Chile Verde dinner. I ordered mine "Christmas", with both green sauce and red sauce. Both sauces were awesome, different than New Mexican style, but very good. Green sauce was pretty spicy, with green Chile. Wife's flautas we're "pretty good", and she says if we are in Caboodle again, she wouldn't hesitate to go back.
Service was great, servers friendly and dressed professionally. Three different servers asked if we needed a refill of chips and salsa.
Best Mexican food outside of New Mexico in a long time.

Love everything about our dining experience. The food the staff and the atmosphere was strupendous. Yes I made that word up. I have a new favorite restaurant. I didn't say favorite Mexican restaurant either. I mean restaurant period of any kind. Warm friendly and all around strupendous!!!!

My brother and I stopped here to eat. We were really hungry after a very long day of traveling from Memphis on our way to Wichita, Kansas. This a is a very friendly place. The staff is amazing and the food was excellent . The chips and salsa was some of the best I have ever.♥

The staff is amazing! They are all very kind, and the atmosphere is great! New and improved salsa! New chef? I had to give my local Mexican food a shot! Well worth it! I love their Spanish rice! I like the chicken enchiladas 😋 can there be an extra spicy option??? See you next time!!!

The lady at the counter said she has been there 49 years. Good food good service. The decor was great!

Surprisingly good Mexican food at a decent price. The owners Juan and Mercedes are wonderful people and very accommodating. I ordered the carnitas with chile verde and it was fantastic. Took me back to the days when my mama would make it for me.

Ordered the steak fajitas. It was super tender and juicy. Great flavor. It was possibly a ribeye. It was served with guacamole and pico de gallo. The refried beans had a nice smooth flavor. My husband ordered the chili Verde. He enjoyed it.

Great chili verde! Just went with the whole family and had some great, authentic Mexican food, we all loved it. Really nicely decorated restaurant, clean and hospitable. Very friendly and attentive folks.

Best authentic Mexican food I’ve ever had and I’m from Arizona where there are thousands of Mexican restaurants. Not sure who is giving this restaurant anything less than five stars but in my opinion, both the food and the atmosphere are perfect 👌! Just found my new favorite Mexican food restaurant in Missouri...who would have thought!?! Oh...and the restaurant is actually CLEAN!!!...which is hard to come by with Mexican restaurants
