Great library with an educated and helpful staff. I frequently ask them for help with research or book recommendations and they are always happy to help. Gets busy during peak hours and on weekends. Come during the early hours or the workday if possible for the best experience.

This is one of my favorite MCPL branches due to the large silent area with natural light, the attentive and very knowledgeable staff, and the overall cleanliness and order of the location. People generally are quite quiet here (but not in an intimidating, completely silent way). Never had problems finding materials in the stacks. Convenient location relative to metro, with abundant parking as well.
I think it’s great that there is a small reserved area for teens and I would love to see this expanded.

The library is fully remodeled. It offers a large selection of books. You can use the computers as well. They have wifi printing so you can print directly from your phone. The parking is not free though. The library is walking distance to downtown Bethesda.

Some people think that libraries are obsolete, with the advent of digital books, Kindle's, Nook's, all of that stuff. HOWEVER, don't believe that stuff! Libraries have access to everything that the digital devices have...FOR FREE. No subscriptions, no ridiculous selling points. Have a tablet and want the eBook version? Check the library. Want an audiobook? Guess what? They have audiobooks AND devices, too! These places have adapted to the times. I bought a Kindle a few weeks ago and I just returned it back to Amazon. Don't need it, I have my library and it's so much more engaging and is still a cool place to hang out and do work. Don't let these places die! This one, in particular, is large, beautiful, and has everything you need. Check it out, you might be surprised. Also, people who are complaining about parking...don't forget that the metro stop is a few blocks away. That's how I get to this library.

Very helpful librarian at the info desk. She helped me find what I needed quickly. Good selection in children's area and pretty extensive collection of books on CD. Pay parking in lot next to library.

Google needs to change the way they display the library's open status and hours. Because it says open, people think it's open to the public; it's not. The book drop is open for returns and people can pick up holds by appointment only. Google should do like they do for restaurants, showing whether the place is open for dine-in, takeout or delivery. Library: closed for browsing, open for returns (book drop) and contactless pickup.

Oh man, what a fantastic little library. No, it's not huge, but that's not the point of a local library. This place is open with plenty of sunlight, lots of seating, and wifi. It has a children's area, a tween/teen area, and quiet rooms. It also has a meeting room where they have community events. You can tell this library is well integrated into its neighborhood.

Nice library, has plenty of parking and is close to restaurants and downtown Bethesda. Lots of private rooms for studying and plenty of tables in the center of the library for quiet studying. They have video checkout as well.

Love the ladies here - my holds are always accurate and they're very kind. Yes, you have to pay to park, but it's within walking distance from my apartment.

Great place to find all types of books, books on CD, DVDs, and some downloadable books. I have a DC library card too and both systems complement each other. Now I live in VA so am about to get a VA library card....thank you Bethesda librarians!
