Courtyard by Marriott Rockville

Lovely little hotel in a nice secluded spot close to the highway. All the staff were incredibly nice and helpful.

45-60 min drive into DC avoiding highways, maybe faster if you take the highway.

Breakfast isn’t included, but we knew that when we booked it.

Rooms were a bit stuffy, maybe because there was no fan in the bathroom.

I'm a Bonvoy member, and I stay almost exclusively at Marriotts when I travel. This is a standard Courtyard. Same amenities, decor, and service as all of the others. What set this one apart and will keep me coming back was the staff and the suite option.

The staff was super friendly. They were patient with my rambunctious children. We stayed over the Christmas weekend, so I'm sure they were working with a skeleton staff. There was no disruption to service, which I've experienced at other hotels over Christmas. We travel to visit family and stay in a hotel since there's not enough room for us to stay with family. I truly appreciate everyone in the service industry who makes it possible for us to visit family during Christmas. They all worked hard even though I am sure they would have rather been at home.

There are one-bedroom suites available. They are affordable and perfect for when
traveling with kids. There is a door that separates the bedroom from the rest of the suite. The door locks, which was great for when I met with some clients. My kids love to interrupt me during meetings, so being able to lock a door was invaluable.

I've stayed at this hotel twice. The rooms with the balconies are the best, but even without that, the rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. The drapes block out light incredibly well. I only had one negative experience with nobody being at the front desk when I was unable to get into my room. Otherwise, services were wonderful. There is only one elevator, which is less than convenient if an elevator is required, but the stairs are fairly quick to get up and down. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

One of the most pleasurable stays I have had in a long time. What really made my stay at this hotel so nice was the staff. Everyone is so welcoming, smiling, and friendly. They were able to get me a room in less than a minute even though I had no reservation and they have a nice little area where I was able to get myself a few snacks and a glass of wine to bring to my room. This morning upon my checkout, I met the GM, Ms. Rowe who I have to commend on having such an amazing team. Thank you so much for making my stay at the Rockville Courtyard a memorable one and when I need a room in the area again, 100% this is where I’m going!!!

We had a positive experience staying at the hotel for one night before a procedure at Shady Grove Fertilty Hospital. It was clean and the employee was super kind and even applied a discount for a hospital patient out of state. The only weird thing was how the room was set up with the TV off to the side, but we literally just slept so not much bother for us. Thank again and will stay again if we had to come from our of state to the hospital. Thank you!

Had a week long training at their meeting room so I chose to stay there instead of commuting. Very nice room, comfortable and quiet. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

excellent place to stay. have stayed there several times. this time I was unable to get into my room after having lunch. the battery had died in the card reader on my door. took about an hour to fix.

We give Courtyard by Marriott in Rockville, MD 5 GOLD STARS! Gabby is the one of the most professional, compassionate, calm, problem solvers bar none. We came from Virginia to visit a relative that is in Hospice care at Byron House. Thank You folks at Byron House for telling us about this wonderful facility. It was so inviting and so was the staff. Every public area was clean, polished, very well appointed and comfortable. The room was wonderful, again clean, polished, very well appointed and comfortable. All the basics were just at your finger tips....it showed that a lot of thought went into providing comfort. The Market Place, fabulous idea, we could purchase healthy foods and beverages for my 6 year old daughter....did not have to rely upon vending machines. The food at the Bistro was delicious. All the pricing from the room to meals were very reasonable. We will come again and will definitely refer! Our Sincere Thanks to everyone for providing such a pleasant experience. This is a hidden gem, great location, restaurants and a lot of activities nearby. Room very well styled, beautiful furniture, comfortable bedding, clean room. Ample parking, room with a nice balcony.

It's an awesome hotel! The lobby was extremely clean and very modern. My girlfriend and I were very impressed. The room was great. The only thing we didn't like was that the mirror was outside of the bathroom. Other than that it was a great experience.

The hotel is a little tricky to access if you don't turn onto Research Blvd from Shady Grove. Despite that, my stay was very comfortable and everyone was very courteous, including the housekeeping staff I passed on my way to check out in the lobby. The lobby, halls, and my room were clean and neat--though it might be worth noting that the color scheme in my bathroom was...interesting (one red and two yellow walls?). I'd like to especially commend one employee in particular, Annie, who drove the hotel shuttle for me and went above and beyond with kindness. I only stayed one night and didn't have any downtime to use the gym or the pool so I can't rate those, but this hotel is a great place to stay with friendly and helpful staff.

In the heart of Rockville, a beautiful hotel stands tall among medical mall skyscrapers and even valleys of roads, decorated with new-age condominiums. It has a lovely interior and it serves a breakfast buffet that much needed in this period of rush hour. Although walking into the hotel is a beautiful sight, seeing the rooms are super exquisite. Please take a visit in this quaint, quiet part of town.
