If you’re looking for an ol skool experience, this is the lounge for you. Great music, chill crowd, ambience galore. Stopped in after a dance class and throughly enjoyed my experience. It’s worth the visit.

A great homemade cigar store that produces some amazing cigars. Everyone that I have gotten them for love them. Smooth, not harsh. Though like selection, you'll definitely find one that meets your taste, just ask the support helpful proprietor.

Cortez makes wonderful cigars. They make mostly mild to medium bodied cigars focusing on aromatics and flavor. They are excellently hand made with a great draw. They have a couple of heavier cigars that are VERY nice as well. The prices are reasonable for what you're getting mostly in the $8-10 range. Their lounge has an amazing ventilation system and the leather couches are comfortable to relax in and enjoy your cigar. The staff are friendly, helpful and really know their trade.
You should not over look this gem all other stores sell only name brands. Cortez only sells their own, which is a must try!

Hired Cortez Cigars for my wedding in Baltimore. Super professional, beautiful layout and presentation and excellent service. The cigars were fantastic and my guests absolutely loved this service. They only sell Cortez hand rolled cigars. The cigars rolled in the Dominican Republic. They have light to full bodied cigars. The owner is a cigar roller, manufacturer, and distributer of the Cortez brand, and highly knowledgeable of the cigars and willing to discuss the construction and makeup of any Cortez cigar. It's worth the time and money to pay a visit and meet the owner.

Loved the experience...first time cigar smoker. Very relaxing stress free. Comfortable chairs to have a smoke and watch whatever is on the TV, nice selection of cigars even tho I don't have much knowledge about cigars. Check it out the prices seem fair and won't empty your pocket.

Cortez is very cozy, quiet with no drama lounge. A nice comfort from other lounges plus the cigar prices are very inexpensive. These boutique cigars come with some age and each of them have great flavors, a must try, but take my word for it. Go check it out for yourself.
This was a great experience as I met with the owner, Cristian Cortez who provided the history of his cigars and his vision for tobacconists. Cris is old school Latino who welcomes everyone like an uncle and provides the ultimate family feeling when you come through his doors.
This is a great change of atmosphere with a warm feeling of an old cigar store front that is unique with a classic vintage touch. I visited this establishment over the weekend of 9/7/2019 I had a fantastic time Mr Cortez was so warm and friendly the atmosphere was so welcoming the other customers was a blast to be around it was if I knew the people for a while in fact I just them it was great we got a lesson on how cigar tobacco was prepared we even watched as Cortez demonstrated how to roll and what the different leaves taste factor come from ,. all in all it was a great learning experiences.

Celina was great to work with. She helped us coordinate a cigar roller to be present at our wedding and a customized band around each to serve as our wedding favors. They were a hit! Celina was appropriately responsive during the planning period and the cigar roller arrived on time for our wedding. All of our guests loved the uniqueness of it all and we would definitely recommend them!

Amazing cigars. I’ve tried pretty much every big box cigar out there and consistently come back to Cortez. The quality cigar you get from here for the price cannot be beat.

Very cozy place, tucked right in the middle of Silver Spring. Their quality Cortez cigars are reasonably priced. Not cheap,but reasonable. Parking could be an issue in the evening, especially weekends.

What can I say about Cortez? He hand rolls his cigars. If you visit, don't expect to leave immediately. The regulars here are very friendly (Ceasar and Mo, etc) and the atmosphere is inviting.

Not a sigars smoker, cigarettes another day. The place is clean, private - hey, who whats to tell he is smoking - recommend type was just right for business dinner with single malt. Good shop and I hope our at would not close it.

Awesome place, Cigars are fresh, great, and high quality. Great place to network and meet new people in the area. Definitely a good time and good vibes! Everyone super friendly and very welcoming.

I'm not a cigar smoker.....but my friends enjoy coming here. A nice, cozy spot.....family and friends oriented and a great selection of cigars. I was told about their selection....remember I don't smoke cigars. Lol....
