K Town Bistro

Visited Kensington Antique Row for the first time and had an early lunch with my friend here. A beautiful and elegant yet comfy setting with great atmosphere and service. Delectable food, casual international bistro cooking.

We had their two-course meal. I really enjoyed their fresh house salad and their dressing was very good (I got it on the side). The dishes we ordered were very flavorful and not salty. We were too full to try their dessert, but they sound and look very delicious.

I highly recommend this place when you're nearby, and I will definitely visit again with my family :)

Lovely spot. My entree was the best cooked swordfish I have had anywhere. I'm glad I ordered it, because I typically don't since it's so few and far between to find a place that knows how to handle that particular fish. I wish we'd had room for dessert, bc the appetizers and main plates were so good, even the small garnish-type side salads were made of vibrant, fresh greens and delicately flavored dressing. The recently added paint scheme is charming and elegant.
Updated review - we were there again two days ago and still appreciate the quality of the food and the service. The stroganoff, ahi and short ribs were all excellent. Also the wine was delicious and well priced?

Great lunch and brunch location. The fried oysters were pretty great as was the creme brulé :) Some of our portions were split, so it's only half of what you'll normally get

Absolutely fantastic spot for any occasion. I went for my birthday. Lovey, warm atmosphere and GREAT customer service and attentiveness to the customers..

Food is made with great care and the service is excellent. We've been there with all adults as well as with our two year old. Both experiences were wonderful and we felt that families were welcomed. Crispy oysters and creme brulee are outstanding.

K-Town Bistro has been our local go-to place for special occasions. With the lockdown, I was skeptical the curbside pickup version of their dinners would be as enjoyable. But my wife wanted it for her birthday, so here is our dining room with their cuisine. Scallops, risotto and spinach for me, and Ahi tuna with spinach and mashed potatoes for her. Pickup went smoothly and the food was still plenty warm when we served it on the table. And as excruciatingly good as usual. Well done, guys!

Took my parents here last night because they deserve a little break from helping me babysit... but also took baby with me. Made a 5pm reservation and was pleasantly surprised at the cute decor and semi bustling crowd so early. We were one of 3 tables sat at an early hour... all spaciously seated safely within the small dining area. We ordered quickly and left quickly; not because we WANTED to but because of said baby ;)
Ordered the oyster app, beef stroganoff, scallops, and rib eye. All were delicious and cooked perfectly. The dishes were very well sized for the price and made for great midnight snacking (I can personally attest to this). Our server was personable and attentive. Definitely will be back to try out their lunch menu!

The best neighborhood bistro north of DC. Every single item on their menu is specifically curated…. We even loved their version of dishes that we normally dislike! (Order the cheesecake!) There is nothing else like it. Adorable.

I came here on a slow Sunday evening for dinner. I had a nice seat at the window looking out onto the street. The service was exceptional. Staff were friendly and warm, and it felt like I was a special customer. The vegetable soup and ossobucco were also fantastic.

Came here on Sunday morning assuming they would have brunch. Sadly they only had a couple of breakfast options and majority lunch items. However, the food we did order was delicious. We loved the tuna appetizer and the fried oysters. Both were fresh and flavorful. The ambience and decor left a bit to be desired but not enough to take off stars as the food made up for it.

We went for lunch. I live much of the year in Los Angeles and K Town means Koreatown. We would have been there sooner if we knew it was French. The room is decorated with a French vibe. We started with the Beet Salad and found the parsnip chips a very clever textural element. We loved it. I got the Smoked Salmon and onion Omelette and wife got the Boeuf Bourgogne. The omelette was perfectly cooked and the beef was so tender in my wife’s dish. I was full half way through but it was so good that I just kept eating. Our server was so friendly and accommodating and made our experience very nice. The tableware is purchased from Antique Row and is beautiful. You will be glad that you came.

The owner/manager was very helpful with wine choices to pair with food and took our order prior to a large group so we did not have to wait as long. The food was so delish! I recommend the oyster appetizer because it was perfectly crispy and came with a wonderful salad and sauce for the oysters which you usually do not see. My steak was cooked perfectly. All wait staff was friendly. The only concern was the tight space for some of the people at our table of 5. Prices were great for the quality of food served.

Went to this restaurant for Sunday dinner with my daughter yesterday. We had a wonderful time. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. My daughter who is a teenager and can be picky and critical was impressed. Everything , from the appetizer to dessert , was perfect. Even the steak and cheesecake dessert that we took home were excellent. My daughter said that KTown Bistro is her favorite restaurant now!!

Every dish I have ever ordered here is to die for. This charming hole-in-the-wall restaurant sports a classy, Continental/American fusion menu. Treat yourself by taking the time to enjoy each course and glass of wine: buttery soups, crisp fried oysters, moist flakey fish, tender lamb with real sauce, and a creme brulee that will make you wish it wouldn't end. The waiters are easy-going and attentive.

Have been wanting to try this place for so long and ended up going last minute this evening. Felt like the quaint French neighborhood restaurant. Could tell that many people were regulars. The owner and staff were friendly and the food ... let's just say looking forward to being a regular. 🙂 Go hungry because you have to have dessert too.

This place has excellent food. I ate scallops with risotto and spinach yum !! My daughter got beef stroganoff and it was delicious. Service was impeccable!! Definitely a 5 star!

After many recommendations I came to have dinner with my boyfriend and fell in love with the place. The seared scallop was absolutely amazing the flavor and everything about it was mouth watering (seriously). Then we had the ribeye steak and the New York strip and it was cooked just right. Our server even suggested a red wine that went perfectly with the steak. I have already recommended it to many and will be returning soon. Service was great and very appreciate!

Excellent restaurant. Very high quality ingredients, prepared by a skilled chef. Very nice wine selection. Friendly wait staff. Great for special occasions or occasions when you just want to feel special. Definitely recommended. Definitely will return.
