Kimmys At Caplinger

We travel for my husband's job and stayed here while in the area. This park is quiet and very nice. It has a great playground and lawn area for the kids with a few outdoor games, a pond, very nice bathhouse and laundry, and the wifi was excellent. It has a pond and well marked trails and is just down the road from the river within walking distance. Really nice drive and back in spots as well. The amenities were all impressive for the excellent rates at this park. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful and all guests were nice. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back to this area so we can stay again.

Very nice campground with great amenities-laundry, camp store, and WiFi! Warm welcoming atmosphere from the owners who make you feel at home! Each site was a gravel pad that needed slight leveling. Also, included a picnic table and fire pit. Lots of trees for shade and play areas for kids. Exceptional bath house! Also, fresh eggs for purchase!!! Highly recommend if your in the area!

So quaint! We loved staying at Kimmy's! Secluded just enough that you can peacefully enjoy all things nature including hiking, kayaking, restaurants & shopping within 1 to 15 minutes from the campground.
And the owners & their kiddos are the kindest of the kindest! 10/10. HIGHLY recommend! Go now! Reserve your spot & relax!

We had a wonderful time at Kimmy's. We felt so welcomed, starting from when we made the reservation to the time we left. The dogs enjoyed it too! So much to do in the area, and Kimmy's suggestion on where to eat was spot on! Even though it was just the 2 of us (and the dogs) it would be an excellent place to bring the grandkids. Thanks for all the hospitality!

Wonderful place and wonderful people. I lived here for a year and a half and when I moved here,I knew nothing about RV life and the owners, Kim and Jason, helped so much and gave me lots of good advice on RV life. This included winter RV living! The experience was a good one and one I will always cherish,partly due to the wonderful help I received from all of them at Kimmys! I highly recommend camping there or even make it a stop and stay awhile. I promise it will be worth it!

Terrific customer service. Rented a camp site; had water and electrical hookup. A lot of kids running around; had a couple swings, dogs, ducks, chickens, etc. My kids loved it. I never felt a mosquito. It’s close to the kayak place. But really family oriented. No loudness. A warning to parents: no wifi, no cell signal. I think they had wifi we could use, but I told my kids they didn’t. Had a little firepit. The restroom had AC, was clean. Had showers. I didn’t use the shower but the sink water came from a well I assume. They still building on. At night a guy in a gator was patrolling. We had our dogs. They had all kind of fun things to do here for the family.

You do have to buy firewood via them; but it seems like a legit reason and the price isn’t bad. Speaking of prices; none of the prices seemed outrageous like you might expect in a remote location. A bag of ice was $3. Same as I pay anywhere else.

They are bee friendly as well; which is cool to me. I swear I’m not related, I just really liked this place. I didn’t take any pics inside the camp

The most welcoming and helpful place to be. All the services you would ever need from laundry to the bath house. The bath house is very nice and always well kept. Plenty of this to do on the grounds. Play set, rope swing all over and the kids swimming pond. Highly recommend!

This camp ground got 5 stars Because of the atmosphere And just a down-to-earth super nice owners. They make you feel at home And battery welcoming to their campers. Not to mention the things they have for the kids to do not including the creeks to swim in but they have playground swings and just The perfect place for a family to get some great quality family time you guys should definitely check it out ! The best part is they're working on the grounds 2 Make more available for families I am so happy I checked it out you will be too!

Beautiful and quiet! Late in the season and not too busy . Most beautiful setting in a fairly wooded area of cedars , old oaks and giant sycamores nestled in a hollow and surrounded by farmland and countryside. nice safe playground, walk paths on the campgrounds . The owners are welcoming and friendly . New bath house and clean , about 8 miles to the quaint historic town of Stockton and has grocery stores, restaurants, and gas stations, etc. Plus Stockton Lake. We were there for only a week it was so peaceful I wanted to stay longer. . I definitely recommend this place to anyone and family friendly. I'd go back!

Took the grandkids camping over Easter weekend. Very nice rv park. Sites were very nice not crowded. Bath house/restrooms were immaculate. The kids had a great time on the trails riding bikes and scooters. Will go back again.

Really enjoyed our stay at Kimmy's at Caplinger. The host is very friendly and accomodating. The trails and playground are great additions to this campground. Our girls enjoyed seeing the ducks and chickens and swinging on all the swings located throughout the property. The bathouse is one of the best I have been in at a campground. Highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway!

Great place. Spent a few days there this March. Owners are great and the facilities are top notch. If you are visiting the Stockton Missouri area I highly recommend this RV park.

We just completed our stay at Kimmy’s and can’t say enough good things about our experience! Wonderful atmosphere! Beautiful environment! Kimmy, Jason and their family are incredibly welcoming and helped to make our stay a truely enjoyable experience! The new bath house is amazing! and can not wait to go back and see all of the additions they are completing in this little piece of Missouri heaven!

We stayed at Kimmys at Caplinger for 4 nights and had an amazing experience. It was so peaceful. I enjoyed walking the trails in the mornings. If you love a connection with nature this is the place for you. We went to Caplinger Woods up the hill and rented kayaks and floated down the Sac River. We had full hookup at our site. The bathroom and shower house is a wonderful facility. I love the seeing the chickens and ducks roaming around. Kim and Jason are wonderful campground owners. They do their best to accommodate everyone. We will be back.

We spent Father's day weekend camping at Kimmys. This place was clean, safe, and immaculate. The host owners were beyond welcoming and friendly. They even brought gourmet cookies to our campsite!
The views are splendid.
We will be back and would highly recommend to you and your family!

Great play areas for our grandchildren including a swimming area.

The hospitality was more than amazing, I would most definitely recommend Kimmy’s at Caplinger. The environment makes you feel like you are at home. This place is beautiful!!! They also have an adorable store and showers with laundry. The young family that owns it are super nice and helpful.

We spent 3 nights at Kimmys At Caplinger. We really enjoyed camping there. The bath house was so nice! And our 4 year old great niece loved the playground area. We will definitely be back!

Planned a last minute camping trip for Spring Break and stumbled across Kimmy's. From the moment I first contacted Kimmy til our last day there, she was so welcoming! My kids fell in love with the 🐕 & 🐔. I would note to anyone with AT&T you likely will have poor cell service but sometimes it's nice to really unplug and enjoy the family time. This wasn't a deal breaker for us, we just got out the board games and DVDs when it was too chilly to be outside. The property was well kept, had a great playground for kids & nice walking trails but I couldn't write this review without commenting on how beautiful the bathhouse is! Such a lovely touch! Hope to come back during summer to fully enjoy the swimming pond and play around in the creek. The Caplinger Bridge just down the road was really pretty to if you get a chance to go.

My husband and I camped here with our daughter for 5 weeks while we were waiting to move on our property. And we loved this place. Very peaceful and well kept. And the family that owns and operates this campground is amazing. Kimmy is so friendly and helpful. We could always find something fun to do. And plenty of relaxing by the campfire. If you need a nice, family friendly campground, this is the one.
