The theatre is very clean and organized. The seats are nice and comfy.. the tray in front does not move…nevertheless the seats are close to one another. You must pick your seats prior so don’t think about changing your seat. Nevertheless all seats are good seats.

Great theater located by rio lake. I love that all their auditoriums have premium recliner seats.

My husband and I came here to see Candyman the other day and this theater did not disappoint! They have reclining seats, if you order food from the app, you can arrange for it to be delivered to your seat within 10 mins of your requested order time. It’s one of the cleaner theaters I’ve been to for sure (bathrooms included). I haven’t been to a movie in a theater in over a year; it’s not too crowded at the moment since most people are still hesitant to go. You are still required to wear your mask if you’re not actively eating or drinking. Still a great experience though!

We've had consistently good experiences at this AMC location. The upgraded seats and dine-in service make for a great movie-watching experience. The staff are pretty friendly and accommodating. The seats are spacious and clean, and they offer a good variety of dine-in food options (appetizers, burgers, chicken fingers, pizza, desserts, plus some plant-based options). You can select when to have your food delivered to your seat from the AMC app but they're not always timely with deliveries. Also, the seat tray for your food is helpful but is a bit small. Other than that, we usually have a great time here!

Rio stays open until 1 am. Security in parking lot and inside. As most movie theaters, food and drink is high. Restrooms are clean. I am an AMC member, I go there all the time. Most theaters are not crowded..reclining chairs.

love it! very comfortable, temper just right! I love the fact I don't have to move while others are walking in front of me. Also the people behind you aren't kicking your seat.

This theatre has come a long way and I love it. It's nice, mostly always clean and the food and snacks are always good.

Good place to watch movies. The screens are not that big but a little bit better on IMAX.

Movie theater has spacious aisles. Popcorn is very good. Seating is comfortable. Sound is good.

Our favorite local movie theater. Rio AMC is clean and the staff is always helpful. The theater rooms are comfortable with ample room. A+.

It's a great theater with a large capacity. Both upstairs and downstairs theaters ranging from comfortable dine in to standard seating options. It does have Imax options

I enjoy watching movies at all AMC theatres. I have the premier stubs card so there are a lot of benefits like no convenience fees, free upgrades, $5 Tuesdays and the amazing rewards! I like this AMC because they screen most Indian movies.

Had a pretty nice experience at this AMC location. The seats were clean and the food was great. The tray given for your food is very helpful, but doesn't move too much. One issue I had is the space in the aisles for the IMAX part of the theatre. Leg room was very little, especially as you order food to your seat. The crew member had to give all of our food (order for 5 people) to the first person in front of them and everyone had to pass it down like we were in elementary school. Other than that the experience here was awesome!

Edit: I am updating this to a 5 as I experienced Prime at AMC at this location, and it has much more leg room and reclining seats

This is my get away. The popcorn is aways fresh and the icee machine is aways working with good flavors. The seating area is clean at all times.

Love the recliner and movie watching experience here and most of all this place is very moving and crowded with fun activities near by

I've been going to the movies at Rio ever since I was a kid, and I've always loved going to this cinema. The screens are amazing, the service, and the upgrades and innovations they've made have only added to their appeal. Still my favorite. It's close, convenient, and has a lot to offer.

I had an issue with the showtime I had purchased and Michael the manager helped me resolve it quickly over the phone. The help was so much appreciated and the movie was great. Thank you!!

If you’re looking for a nice movie theater in the Gaithersburg area that’s complete with relaxing recliner chairs, tray tables, and a nice view of the lake, then I definitely recommend AMC Dine-In Rio.

It’s very convenient and I like that they put work into making their patrons feel welcomed.

Plus, it’s close to a variety of shopping areas and restaurants so what’s to lose? :)

A new movie came out and I had to see it but I hate crowds!

Went to the earliest showing they had at 11:00 am ( which is the best thing to do )

It was peaceful, not crowded, & great service from all staff!

Clean ( seats, food service area & bathroom all good ).

I ordered at the counter for delivery during the movie.

It didn’t take long for everyone’s food to be delivered to our seats.

The food was hot, fresh, and delicious! ( get the Buffalo chicken and pretzel bites )!

I’m not a popcorn type of person so can’t rate that fairly,( a large popcorn came with my popcorn bucket purchase for Spiderverse)

I’m definitely coming back again to another early movie only!

Clean, comfortable and luxurious seating in the heart of Washingtonian Square. Reasonable ticket prices.
