Great park for an evening walk. There are lots of interesting features to see here, and it's also good for kids. This place is huge! Plant lovers, this is a must-see; there's a botanical garden as well as a lake to the side of the park. There are also slides for kids, and you can bring your pet. It gets pretty busy, so expect lots of people here, especially during summertime.

Great part to take the kids to. Lots of parking and a really nice carousel and train ride!
The park has seen some good upgrades since I was there last and they have great slides and climbing structures for kids as well as a lot of baseball fields and things for the older kids to do.
The park is very dog friendly and has restrooms and trash cans throughout. They also have a lot of picnic areas with grills And some have covered pavilions.

Wheaton Regional Park is a true gem in the heart of Montgomery County, Maryland. I recently had the pleasure of visiting, and I must say it exceeded my expectations in every way.

The park offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and recreational activities. The lush greenery, serene walking trails, and well-maintained gardens make it a paradise for nature enthusiasts. Whether you're looking for a peaceful escape or a place for a leisurely stroll, Wheaton Park's natural beauty won't disappoint.

For families, this park is a dream come true. The playgrounds are top-notch, and there's even a beautiful carousel that kids of all ages can enjoy. The miniature train ride is another highlight, offering a fun and scenic tour of the park.

Sports enthusiasts will find plenty to do here as well. The tennis courts, basketball courts, and picnic areas are perfect for active gatherings with friends and family. And if you're into dog walking, the park has a dedicated area for your furry friends to run and play off-leash.

What truly impressed me about Wheaton Regional Park is its accessibility and inclusivity. The park has made significant efforts to ensure that people of all abilities can enjoy its amenities. The Wheaton Train and Carousel are equipped to accommodate individuals with disabilities, and there are accessible trails and facilities throughout the park.

Air quality is out of this world. My lung are as happy as they could ever be. Had some issues with parking. Found a spot after about 10min. It’s April, flowers did not fully bloom. But they are beautiful, and pictures perfect ones available though. I got a map of the garden. It was very useful. I saw only 1/3 of the garden. It is a beautiful, big and well maintained garden. Kudos Montgomery County. Will update this when I go back. I can’t wait to see the Japanese garden.

This place is incredible. It never ceases to amaze me. It's wonderfully free, the trails are great, the fountains, the gazebo, the pagoda, the ponds, the gardens, the statues, ugh... love it.

Brookside garden is beautiful any time of the year. However I love summer because of the large number of butterflies, bees, birds etc.

This park is a sanctuary for me. It's so beautiful, plentiful parking but can get rather busy on weekends. I don't even know where to start with how awesome this park is. The landscaping is incredibly lush, and gorgeous, the gardens stunning and well thought out, the gazebo and Japanese garden are straight out of a story book, not to mention the geese, fish, and turtles and ducks that live there. There are nice trails near the Little lake and plenty of space and picnic tables by the enormous playgrounds if you want to grill. There are bathrooms present and they actually have mirrors! I love the train ride and carousel as well. Beautiful park for a romantic date, time alone with nature, or with family and friends. So beautiful it is often used for wedding ceremonies. Don't hesitate if you've never been before! And in the spring and summer time, the butterfly garden is amazing. The butterflies are so beautiful and it's amazing to see!

My first time here and it was great. A big space with lots of pavilions and bbq areas and places for a picnic. There are areas for play for all ages and the restrooms are ok and the kids carousel is not too distant which is popular plus vending machines. There is the train that takes you around the park, it’s wild how big the park is with so many trails. Overall, a wonderful park for relaxing and celebrating.

Always nice to spend some time at the children's playground with my son, walking some trails, or visiting brookside gardens.

The nature center looks really nice after reopening. The rental bird watching backpack is very informative and free! A fun way to spend the day with kids

It’s well maintained and the playground/activities keep the kids entertained for hours.
Definitely recommend the train ride and Ferris wheel as well as just a casual walk through the small trails. There’re lots of birds to see including the Orioles.

Only downside is the ice cream and drink vending machines were either not working or sold out.

More than just a regional park, kind of a unique and magnificent botanical garden. Cool and calm place to roam around in the park, always full of tourists just enjoying the beauty near the lake-house. Greenhouse rooms are just mind-blowing, even there are few shows available to watch. Thousands of different trees gives a different look at different season, even so many colors in the Summer. A highly recommended place to visit in Maryland.

Great place to walk. First time going on mothers day and I really enjoyed it when I spent about 90 minutes there. Butterflies, plants, animals, and friendly locals 🥰🥰
